Chapter 1: Rise of the Turtles Part 1
Ok so my friend and fellow TMNL contributor Brizillaking1 made a suggestion that i take a crack with retelling the 2012 TMNT with the Loud House , so here. I changed a few of his characters to fit more with this adaption. The Turtles are still the portrayed by Lori, Lynn, Luna, and Luan.
Both Loud House and TMNT 2012 are property of Nickelodeon.
(New York City, at night it's a city of light. The buildings are light up and cars roam the streets. Every now and again, one of their alarms go off. It's so busy above, no one would ever suspect the slightest possibility, that below in the sewers, there's intelligent life also.)
(Down below in the sewers, in a dojo with a large tree growing at one end, with weapons lining the wall and a red rug carpeting the floor, Lori, Lynn, Luna and Luan with entirely green bodies and carapaces on their backs and plastrons on their fronts kneel before each other. Lori wears a blue eyemask, Lynn, red, Luna, Purple and Luan's orange. Lori is across from Luan and Luna is across from Lynn. Lori has one of her two Katanas drawn and held at the ready behind her. Both Lori and Luan stand up and hold their weapons before them, as intense music is heard. Neither side moves.)
(Lori charges forward, Luan runs to meet her, spinning her Nunchucks.)
Luan: Oh yeah! Luanangelo's on the move!
(They close and Lori swings her sword. Luan leaps over, landing behind her.)
Luan: You don't know what to do! (Lori charges her and swings again, with Luan avoiding) I'm here! No, I'm there. (They stop) I could be anywhere!
(Luan's eyes then go completely white and circular as she barely avoids Lori's next slash. Lori looks behind her as Luan rolls in that direction.)
Luan: (rises, cocky) How do you stop what you can't even see?!
(Luan races at Lori as she stands motionless. At the last second, Lori shifts her grip on her weapon and jams Luan in the stomach with the pommel. Luan yelps in pain and rolls forward due to momentum. Lori looks unfazed as Luan makes a pained gag face with a buzzer noise before collapsing.)
Lori: Like that.
Luan: (pained) Good one, Lor.
(Luna and Lynn rise to face each other. Luna spins her Bō around, while Lynn looks calm and has no weapon.)
Lynn: (cracks her neck) Ok, Luna…put down the staff and no one gets hurt.
Luna: (dead-pan) Uhh, you said that last time, Lynn…and then you hurt me.
Lynn: Yeah, but less then I would have.
Luna: (scoffs) Yeah right.
(Luna then rushes forward, swinging her staff. Lynn evades as Luna keeps trying to strike her. After a few seconds of this, Luna makes a powerful downward strike, but feels she hit nothing, not even the ground. She then sees Lynn holding her staff, looking smug. Lynn spins the staff around before breaking it over her knee. She looks at Luna.)
Luna: (matter of factly) Should've dropped the staff.
Lynn: Should've dropped the staff.
(Lynn runs over and hits Luna with her broken Bō, repeatedly. Luna crouches and covers her head.)
Luna: (annoyed) Ok! Ow! Ow! All right, already! I'm down!
Lynn: Yeah, you may be taller, but I'm tougher!
(Lori then steps behind Lynn. Lynn turns to face her, as Luna goes over to the side and joins Luan in kneeling as they waited for the end.)
Luan: (amused) Real good work.
Luna: Lasted longer than you.
(Lynn throws the broken Bō aside as her and Lori kneel before each other.)
Lori: (speaks Japanese)
Lynn: Whatever you say.
(Both stand, Lori holds her Katana ready as Lynn at last draws her Sai. The two begin to spar. Lori makes a lightning slash that Lynn blocks. The two separate as Lynn attempts to take Lori from behind, but Lori's too fast moves out of reach. Lynn yells and charges, she ducks Lori's next move and elbows her in the chest, knocking her down. Before she can take advantage, Lori kicks her in the face and knocks her on her back.)
(Lynn gets up and blocks Lori's sword as it comes down, after a second Lori pushes her weapon to the side, knocking one of Lynn's Sai from her grasp. The weapon flies past Luna and Luan, hitting the wall behind them. Neither flinches. Lynn readies her remaining Sai as her and Lori stare each other down. They rush each other.)
(The screen goes dark with two yellow slashes appear. Lori's Katana falls to the ground. She looks shocked as Lynn hooks her arm with her Sai's guards and flips her over her shoulder and on to the floor. Lori lays on her back groaning, as Lynn stands over her.)
Lynn: (amused) Nice try.
(From off screen, a door slides open and a man's commanding voice sounds out.)
Lynn Sr: (speaks Japanese)
(Lynn Sr steps into view, he's a rat-man hybrid with brown, black and white fur and wearing a long reddish brown Sensei robe and walks with a cane made of a strange green material.)
(The Turtles kneel before him as he walks past them. Lori bows as he passes her.)
Lynn Sr: You all did very well today.
Lynn: But I did better.
(The other three roll their eyes at her as Lynn Sr now walks behind them.)
Lynn Sr: This was about self-improvement, Lynnpheal. Not about winning or losing.
Lynn: (smirks) I know, Sensei. But I won…and they lost.
(Lynn smugly holds her hands behind her head. Lynn Sr comes over and pressed a pressure point on her neck. Lynn gasps in pain.)
Lynn: (hastily) But what's really important is that we all did our best! (tears leaking from her eyes) Good job, everyone!
(Lynn Sr releases her pressure point and Lynn falls forward, gasping in relief.)
Lynn Sr: (chuckles)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Louds! Teenage Mutant Ninja Louds! Teenage Mutant Ninja Louds! Heroes in a half shell! Turtle power!
Here we go, it's the lean, green ninja team!
On the scene, cool teens doing ninja things!
So extreme, out of the sewers, like laser beams!
Get rocked with the Shell-shocked Pizza Queens!
Can't stop these radical dudes, the secret of the ooze, made the chosen few!
Emerge from the shadows to make their move, the good guys win and the bad guys lose!
Lorinardo's the leader in blue, does everything it takes to get her ninjas through!
Lunatello! She's the fellow, has a way with machines!
Lynnpheal's got the most attitude on the team!
Luanangelo! She's one of a kind! And you know just where to find her when it's party time!
Master Lynn Sr taught them every single skill they need to be one lean, mean, green incredible team!

Heroes in a half shell! Turtle power!
(The Turtles and Lynn Sr sit at the kitchen table. They eat plates of algae and worms. Lori and Lynn Sr eat calmly. Lynn jabs at her food. Luna takes a bite and makes a face. Luan comes over with a pot.)
Luan: There's a little more algae and worms left if anyone wants it. (to her family) Anybody? Anybody?
Lori: No thanks.
Lynn: I'm good.
Luna: All full here, dude.
Luan: (smirks) Oh really? Well then, guess no one saved any room for…CAKE!
(Luan pulls a triple decker cake from behind her back. It's green and blue, with a single lite candle.)
(Her sisters are shocked)
Luna: (awed) It is a cake.
(Lynn scrapes some off and eats it. Her excitement fades as she immediately recognizes the flavor.)
Lynn: Made of algae…(a worm crawls over the surface)…and worms.
Lori: What's the frosting made of?
Luan: You don't wanna know. (her sisters look disgusted) Happy Mutation Day!
Lori, Lynn and Luna: Happy Mutation Day!
Lynn Sr: (fondly) Ah yes, fifteen years ago today, our lives were changed forever, and we became the unlikelyest of families.
Luan: Tell us the story, Master Lynn.
Lynn Sr: (light chuckle) Luanangelo, I've already told it many times.
Luan: (begging) Please….Please!
(Lynn comes over before Luan can continue. She covers her mouth.)
Lynn: Please… it's the only way to shut Luan up.
Lynn Sr: Very well…
(The Turtles go quiet as he begins. The scene becomes very comic book like.)
(Flashback. The entrance of a pet store is shown. A sign on the window says "Turtles 4 sale". The pet store door opens and an unmutated Lynn Sr walks out. He's got brown hair and is wearing a white button up shirt and light brown pants. He holds a glass bowl, with a small plastic tree. Inside the bowl are four baby turtles, one rolls on it's back while the other three look around at the world above.)
Lynn Sr: I was leaving the pet store with four baby turtles.
(Luan pops into view.)
Luan: That was us! (sees the baby turtles) Aww, we were so cute!
Lynn Sr: Yes. Don't interrupt!
(Luan disappears. Lynn Sr walks down the sidewalk, passing a strange man, wearing a dark suit and tie. The man bumps Lynn as they walk by, making no acknowledgement. Lynn Sr looks after him, slightly offended.)
Lynn Sr: I passed a strange man on the street. Something…felt off about him. I decided to follow.
(Lynn Sr hides behind a corner in an alley. At the end, the strange man meets a similar looking man. One prepares to hand over a metal and glass cylinder filled with a glowing, florescent like green gel. Lynn Sr's foot disturbed a rat, alerting them to his presence. They advance on him.)
Strange man: (robotic voice) Go no further. This place is a place where you are not allowed to be in this place.
(Lynn Sr looks behind him and sees two more strange men coming up.)
Strange man: We have been seen in this place by you. So this is not a place that will be left by you.
(Lynn Sr lashes out in a kick that sends the two behind him flying. The other two rush him, will the first still holding the canister.)
Lynn Sr: Left hook!
(Still holding his new pets, He deals a strong left hook that drops the last two. The canister goes flying. It smashes to the ground and breaks open, some of it gets on Lynn, making him drop the turtles as he feels extreme agony. The baby Turtles land right into the ooze, as Lynn continues to groan as his body starts to transform, becoming hairier, while his face elongates into a muscle, will a tail starting to grow. In seconds he's transformed into a rat-man hybrid. While the baby Turtles too transform. Becoming bipedal, their front feet transform into arms with three fingers on each hand, while two toes grow on each foot. The sprout hair and two have freckles. They now resemble younger Lori,, Lynn, Luna and Luan. Luna ooze on her head. Lynn Sr completely rips through his clothes as the turtles look at themselves in shock.)
(End of flashback. Lynn Sr holds up the broken canister that he kept. The four listen as he concludes)
Lynn Sr: That was the beginning of the our lives together. It was the strange substance in this canister that in a way…gave birth to us all.
(The turtles smile as he finished. Luan looks at the canister before grabbing it from Lynn Sr's hands. She hugs it.)
Luan: (loving) Mom.
(The other three look at her oddly before Lori turns to Lynn Sr.)
Lori: So Sensei, I've been thinking, now that we're fifteen, I think we're literally ready to go up to the surface…don't you?
(The others look at him hopefully.)
Lynn Sr:..Yes…
Lori: Yes!
Luna: Rightious!
Luan: Yeah!
Lynn Sr:…and No.
(The turtles cheering turns into groaning.)
Luan: Ah man.
Luna: Bogus!
Lori: Come on.
Lynn: Hate when he does that.
Lynn Sr: You have grown strong, but you are still young. (gets up) You lack the maturity to use your skills wisely.
(Lynn moves to exit the kitchen.)
Luna: But Sensei…doesn't that mean just no?
Lynn Sr: Yes…(turns back)…and no. Wisdom comes from experience, and experience comes from making mistakes.
Luna: Aha! So in order to gain the experience… we have to make the mistakes. So we can go.
Lynn Sr: No.
Luna: (hopeful) and yes?
Lynn Sr: (firm) No.
Luna: Oh…rubbish.
Lori: Sensei, we know your just trying to protect us. (pleading) But we can't spend our whole lives hiding down here.
(Lynn goes quiet as he thinks about what Lori said. He looks back and does a double take when he sees all four staring at him, with puppy dog eyes, completely with quivering lips.
Lynn Sr: (sighs) You may go…tonight.
(The Turtles jump up, happy and excited.)
Luan: (holds up her hand) High three!
(The four high three. Later Lori is sitting in front of their tv in the largest part of the their sewer lair, which was the living room. She watches a space voyage series of the Loud house. A version of Lori wearing a yellow commanders uniform turns to another person in yellow, who looks like Leni.
Lori look a like: Status report, Ms. Panini.
Ms. Panini: (panicked) Status! I'll give you the status! We're gonna blow up in two seconds!
(The Lori look a like slaps her. She calms down.)
Ms. Panini: Thanks cap, I like so needed that.
(The Lori look alike starts monologuing, Lori copies her word for word, even striking the same pose.)
Lynn: (looks up from a sports illustrated) You know this show is stupid…right?
Lori: (defensive) Universe Voyagers is not stupid. It's a great show, and Captain Taber is a great hero, (determined) and someday I'm going to be just like her.
Lynn: Well you both like to hear yourselves talk…so your on your way.
(They both look over as they hear footsteps. Luna and Luan come into the room, looking excited. Luna plays air guitar.)
Luan: It's go time, girls!
(The screen goes dark. Luna appears spinning her Bō rapidly. She stops and fades as Lynn spins both her Sai around, before she too fades. Lori comes in, she draws her Katanas and slashes them through the air. Finally Luan spins her Nunchucks several times, hitting a concealed switch with makes a small blade pop out of the end.)
(The four stand at attention before Lynn Sr.)
Lynn Sr: You four are going up to a strange and hostile world, you must retain awareness at all times.
Turtles: Hai, Sensei!
(The turtles turn to leave.)
Lynn Sr: Stay in the shadows!
Turtles: Hai, sensei!
(The turtles move to leave again.)
Lynn Sr: Don't talk to strangers!
Turtles: Hai, Sensei.
Lynn Sr: Everyone is a stranger!
Turtles: (getting annoyed) Hai, Sensei.
(The four run for the exit.)
Lynn Sr: Also make sure you go before you leave…the restrooms up there are filthy!
Turtles: (annoyed and embarrassed) Sensei!
Lynn Sr: (sighs) Good luck, my daughters.
Turtles: Surface time! I'm so pumped! This is gonna be epic!
(The four run into the nearby subway tunnel and out of sight.)
Lynn Sr: (calling) And make sure you look both ways before crossing the street!
(The street level of New York. A rat forages for scraps in an alley. A nearby sewer grate moves and lifts as Lori pokes her head out, making sure no one is around before pushing it completely open and climbs out. The other three follow after and gasp as they take in their new surroundings. Over turned trashcans, decaying, rotting food, graffiti and a homeless person sleeping on a piece of cardboard with a newspaper blanket. The homeless person rolls over before breaking wind. The turtles look up as they hear car horns and sirens, staring in wonder at the buildings before them.)
Luan: (awestruck) Dudes…it's so beautiful.
(The Turtles exit the alley and walk down the side walk. The streets are devoid of people. The Turtles stare every which way in wonder and amazement.)
Lori: This city is full of possibilities! (excited runs from one corner to another) There could be an adventure around this corner. Or this one! Or this one! (sees nothing but a stray cat sitting on a dumpster) Ok, there's not…but there could be!
(Luna looks at a window to a instrument store and sees a assortment of instruments.)
Luna: (presses her face against the glass) Whoa, look at all the instruments. (sees a specific guitar) No way, is that the latest Gibson firebird V-factor guitar?!
Lynn: (behind her, sarcastic) I don't know, Lunatello…is it?
Luna: (takes a closer look) It is!
Lynn: Still can't believe your into those.
Luna: Dude , I have other hobbies besides the brainy stuff and inventing, ya know?
Luan: (excited) Girls girls, check this out!
(The source of her excitement is a florescent glowing sign for a fortune teller.)
Luan: A hand made out of light. (the hand goes dark and a eye glows) Now it's a eye made of light! (the hand reappeared) Now the hands back! Now the eye again! The hand!
Lynn: (drags her away) Come on genius.
Luan: The Eye!
(The four stop in the street.)
Luna: So, where to next, my people.
(The turtles freeze as they hear an engine approach and are blinded by a head light. The turtles vision adjusts and they see a boy wearing a delivery uniform on his scooter in front of them, staring in disbelief.)
(For a moment, neither side moves. Then Lynn makes a growling face. The boy panics and turns around before quickly driving away. Something falls from his delivery bag , but he doesn't notice.)
(The Turtles watch him speed away. Lynn laughs at what she just did.)
Lynn: (laughs) That was kinda fun.
(Lori looks around. If there was one person out and about there could be more, and as ninjas they had to stick to the shadows.)
Lori: We're too exposed out here, girls.
(Lori then looks up at the roofs of the buildings and realized they could move over them quickly, and more importantly…not be seen.)
Lori: Come on, follow me.
(Lori heads for the nearest roof. Lynn and Luna follow. Luan starts to, before she notices the box the delivery boy dropped.)
Luan: (intrigued) Hmmm.
(Luan takes the box and follows her sisters. A few minutes later they stand on a roof. The box sits on a cooling unit between them. It has a picture of a heavy set balding man with a mustache making the a-ok sign . Around him are the words "Bruno's Pizza." )
Luan: (reading) Pi…zza?
Luna: Should..we open it?
Lori: (cautious) Careful, it might be dangerous.
(Lynn rolls her eyes and flips the box open. They see it contains a strange circular piece of baked dough covered in cheese and pepperoni. The Turtles lean in closer. Whatever it is, it smelled good.)
Luna: I..think it's..food.
Lynn: Not like any food I ever saw.
Luan: I'll try it.
(Luan picks up a slice. The other three watch with baited breath as she takes a small bite. Luan chews for a second, before her eyes widen , nearly bulging out of their sockets. An image of her brain exploding in shock is shown. Luan chews and swallows the first bite. She then shoves the entire thing into her mouth, barely chewing before swallowing. Luan then burps contentedly, before seeing her sisters waiting for her answer.)
Luan: (pretending it's terrible) Uhh, yuck! You guys won't like it. (excited) I'll take the rest!
(The other three don't fall for it.)
Luna: No way!
Lori: Nu-huh!
Lynn: Back off!
(The four fight over the pizza. They start eating it, sighing at the heavenly flavor as it flows over their taste buds.)
Lynn: (awestruck) I never thought I'd taste anything better then worms and algae but this is incredible!
(The pizza quickly disappears. Luan looks up at the sky.)
Luan: (happy) I LOVE IT UP HERE!
( The four run along the rooftops. They drop down onto another building and leap across the gap to the next. Jumping over cooling units, skylights, water tanks. They soon reach the edge where they can no longer jump and skid to a stop. The four just stand there , staring out over the city. They wanted to stay up here forever, but also knew they couldn't.)
Lori: (to her younger sisters) All right, girls. (looks at how far the moons moved since they came out) It's getting late. We should probably head home now.
Lynn, Luna and Luan: Aww, man.
Lori: Let's go.
(The Turtles start to head off, before for theydo, Luna takes one last look at the streets below and sees something that stops her dead in her tracks.)
Luna: Dudes, look at that!
(Walking down the street is a young woman walking with an older man, presumably her dad. He's balding and his hair is blonde and he also has a short well trimmed beard. The girl has blonde hair with a teal streak and wearing a blue jacket and a t-shirt with a band logo on it, ripped jeans and boots.)
(Luna continues to watch as she sees the girl go in slow motion, Luna's eyes go completely round and white, with an animated heart beating out of her chest. )
Luna: (lovestruck) She's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.
Lynn: Isn't she the only girl you ever seen? Well besides us, but we don't count.
Luna: (defensive) My point still stands.
(The turtles then hear an engine fast approaching. A white van with a blue and orange logo on the side speeds down the street and pulls in front of the two humans. The truck cut off as a guy in a white tank-top and jeans gets out of the drivers seat. The back opens up and four identical looking guys in black suits and ties step out as well. They advance on the two. )
Man: (confused) What is this?
(The girl looks scared as they four don't speak and continue towards them.)
(Unbeknownst to all, they turtles watch the whole thing. Luna sees the scared look on the girls face and feels a protective urge take over.)
Luna: (determined) We gotta save them.
(Luna prepares to jump down to street level. Lori stops her with a hand on her shoulder.)
Lori: Lynn Sr's orders were crystal clear. We're supposed to stay away from people… (mock fear) And bathrooms.
Lynn: I thought you wanted to be a hero. Last time I checked, heroes didn't ask permission.
Lori: Well, they don't but…
Luna: Well I'm going.
(Luna leaps of the building . Lynn and Luan do like wise. Lori stands there, frowning)
Lori: (sighs) Siblings.
(Lori then leaps off as well.)
(The four attackers had caught the girl and her father, and were dragging them over to their van. They throw him inside.)
Lynn: Hey.
(The one who threw the girls father in turns around just in time for Lynn to sock him in the face. He stumbles backwards as Lori, Luna and Luan start filling the other three. He then rises, staring at Lynn with a neutral expression.)
(Lynn scowls and draws her Sai.)
Lynn: Oh, still standing, eh loser? I'll fix that.
(Lynn charges. Lori suddenly stumbles into the way, colliding with Lynn.)
Lynn: (annoyed) Hey, watch it!
Lori: You watch it.
(Lynn leaps back as she sees her opponent preparing to punch her. His fist slams into the asphalt hard enough to crack it.)
(Lynn back flips away and bumps into Luna as she fights her own guy.)
Lynn: Watch it, Luna!
(Luna blocks her guys chop with her Bō, before smacking him in the face , then jabs him in the stomach. Luan does a back flip of her own as she avoids her attacker and spins her Nunchucks. Just as she moves to attack, one end of her weapon gets tangled in Lynn's Sai. Lynn gets annoyed as she tugs her weapon free.)
Lynn: Seriously, watch it!
(The Turtles continue to get in each other's way as they fight. Luna stops one of Loris slashes with her Staff. Lori tries again, ready to stab. Right before she can, Lynn leaps in the way and Lori's Katanas stab her carapace.)
Lynn: (surprised) What the—
(The guy smacks Lynn aside before closing with Lori. Another guy tries to stomp on Lynn, but she rolls away back to her feet. He then tried to punch her, Lynn evades. Before he can pull back and try again, Lynn hooks his arm with both Sai and tried to flip him over, like she did with Lori. The guy doesn't budge.)
Lynn: Oh, come on.
(The guy quickly punches her and sends her skidding several feet. The other three continue to fight the remaining guys. The one that punched Lynn collets the girl and starts carrying her towards the van. The girl beats on him, but he remains unfazed.)
Girl: Hey! Let me go! Cut it out! Stop! Ow!
(The girls cries make Luna turn after she knocks her guy aside. She throws her Bō and knocks the guy out from under the girl. Luna runs over and catches her before she falls.)
Luna: Gotcha!
Girl: (looks at Luna)
Luna: (smiles)
(The girl then screams in fright, making Luna scream in return. She drops the girl, who hastily starts backing away
Luna: No, no, no. Don't worry, dude. We're the good guys.
(The girl only screams and keeps backing away as Luna walks towards her.)
Luna: (comforting) It's ok.
(The girl then gets up to run, only to see two of the guys in suits coming at her. She then looks back at Luna, who smiles gently and holds out her hand. The girl thinks for a second before reaching to take it. At that moment Luan jumps into view behind Luna, really to attack. She spins her Nunchuck and pulls back, striking Luna in the head.)
Luna: Ow! (glares at Luan)
Luan: (meek) Oops, sorry Lunes. (gasps) Watch out!
(One of the guys launched out in a flying kick. Luna is hit in the stomach, sending her colliding into Luan, and sending them both crashing into some trash cans on the side walk. They lay there dazed. Luna recovers and sees the guys have captured the girl, even putting duck tape on her mouth. The guys get in their van and speed off.)
Luna: (rising) They're gettin' away! They got the girl!
(Luna snatches up her Bō and sprints off after them. Lori and Lynn aren't far behind as they race after her down the street.)
Lynn: (to Lori, angry) You just jabbed me with your swords! What gives!?
Lori: (annoyed) How was I supposed to know you'd land where I was stabbing!?
(Groaning, Luan gets up from the pile of trash cans and moves to follow. Someone steps into view behind her, alerting her to their presence. Luan turns to see on of the men in suits is still there.)
(Luan pulls out her Nunchuck.)
Luan: (brave) You think you're tough!? Huh?! You think you're tough enough to stand up to my hot Nunchuck fury!
(Luan spins her Nunchuck and attacks him. She strikes with her weapon a few times. The man's face remains neutral as he effortlessly graps it and pulls it from her grasp and throws it aside.)
(Luan seems surprised at this.)
Luan: (huh) I see…well then.
(Luan then panics and sprints as fast as she can in the opposite direction. The man stares blankly after her before running in pursuit. Luan runs down the street and turns a corner at a playground. She skids to a stop as she hits the dead end of the alley. Luan turns as the man appears at the mouth, he advances on the Turtle. Luan pulls out her second Nunchuck and activates the hidden blade. She slashes desperately, while looking away as he closes in. She feels the blade make contact.)
Luan: Stay back!
(Luan gazes up. The man holds his face at the eyes, with a flickering pink light is seen along with a mechanical beeping noise is heard. He stumbles back a few steps before collapsing to the ground and going still.)
Luan: (confused) What the!?
(Luan steps up for a closer look. She flips the guy over. Half of his face is gone, showing a metal skeletal like form underneath covered in blue translucent synthetic flesh. The right eye is now a flickering pink lense. The light goes out.)
Luan: (freaked out) That's all kinds of messed up!
(Suddenly from under the suit several thin pink tentacles come out as an brain like blob pulls itself out. It's got the face of Lily, with pink skin and a month of small pointy teeth.)
Brain Lily: Poo Poo!
Luan: What the Shell!?
(The brain Lily leaps up and lashes around Luan's face. Luan gives a muffled cry and runs around the alley, crashing into walls while trying to loosen the creature.)
Luan: (muffled) Get it off! Get it off! Get it off!
(Luan crashes to the ground and tugs at the brain Lily. After a second she success in prying it off. It flies in the air and splats into the opposite wall. It slowly slides to the ground, before picking itself up and scurrying off, sqealing.)
(Luan runs back the way she came and rejoins her sisters as they show up.)
Luan: (out of breath) Guys! Guys! You're not gonna believe this! (stammers) That dude…he..he…HAD A BRAIN!
(The other three look unfazed.)
Lori: We all have brains, Luan.
Luna: Not all of us, brah.
Luan: In our chests!?
Lori: No, Luan…not in our chests.
Luan: (angry) You're not listening to me!
(Lori steps forward and slaps her across the face. Luan holds her arms up defensively.)
Luan: (suspicious) Did you just slap me?
Lori: (calm) I was calming you down.
Luan: (flabbergasted) WHY WOULD THAT CALM ME DOWN!?
Luna: I think she's trippin'.
Luan: (had enough) Just…follow me. I'm telling you, the big guy was a robot and he had a freaky, weird alien brain thingy in his chest…
(Luan walks off towards the alley, still talking about what she saw. Lori looks at Lynn and Luna before all three shrug and follow.)
(The Turtles arrive at the alley.)
Luan: …You have to believe me!
Lynn: (skeptical) Not sure we do.
Luan: (challenging) Oh yeah?! Well your change your tune after you see that he's…
(They stop in front of the alley. Luan turns expect to see the robot where she left it, but there was nothing. Not even juice from the alien brain on the wall.)
Luan: (shocked)…gone.
(Luan looks to see her sisters shaking their heads, will unamused expressions before they turn around and walk away. Luan slowly follows, looking in the alley wondering where it could have gone.)
(The Turtles are back in their dojo. They kneel before Lynn Sr after they finished telling him what they saw and did, will the family being kidnapped and the guys in suits.)
Lynn Sr: (irritated) So your inability to work together allowed them all to get away.
Lynn: (to Lori, annoyed) Well maybe if I hadn't had to waste time arguing with hero wannabe here, I could've stopped them.
Lori: (scoffs) Hey if you hadn't gotten in MY way, I could've saved them. (to Luna) And YOU went flying off on your own, literally how smart was that?!
Luna: (to Luan, angry) Well it would've worked out great if SOMEONE HADN'T SMACKED ME IN THE HEAD WITH HER NUNCHUCKS!
Luan: Well none of this would've happened if…(turns to accuse the person beside her before remembering there wasn't one, to Lynn Sr)… Somebody hadn't trusted us to go up there in the first place!
(Lynn Sr freezes. Lori, Lynn, and Luna gasp, as Luan realized what she just did.)
Luan: (apologetic) Oh jeez,….Sensei I didn't mean…
(Lynn Sr sighs.)
Lynn Sr: No Luanangelo, you're right.
Luan: (surprised) I am?
Lori, Lynn and Luna: (surprised) She is?!
Lynn Sr: Yes she is. You were not fully prepared for what was up there. I trained you four to fight as individuals…not as a team. As your teacher…as your father, the responsibility for that falls to me. Perhaps in another year, we can give it another go.
(Luna doesn't agree with this.)
Luna: Another year?! But Pop star, has everyone forgotten that dudes were kidnapped! They don't have a year, (to Lynn Sr) Sensei, we have to do something now. (Lynn Sr turns to Luna) You weren't there, Sensei. You didn't see the way that girl looked into my eyes. She was scared and she was counting on me…(the others look at her)…Us! To save her.
(Lynn Sr remains quiet as Luna's words sink in. He becomes lost in though as he turns away. He goes over to a small shell, with a few nick-knacks, and on a shelf all by itself is a picture of Lynn Sr when he's still human, beside him is a woman holding a small baby in a blanket. It was his family he lost before he came to America. Lynn Sr comes to the conclusion that he cannot allow another family to go what he went through.)
Lynn Sr: Yes…(turns to the Turtles) You must save her.
Lori: I agree Sensei…(sheepish)..but in that fight, we weren't exactly a well oiled machine.
Luan: Like that robot with the brain thingy.
Lynn: (sighs) Give it a rest.
Lynn Sr: (decided) If your going to fight more effectively as a unit, your going to be a leader.
Lori: (raises her hand) Oh, can I be the leader? I'm the oldest.
Lynn: Why should you be the leader? I kicked your tail, I should be the leader.
Luna: (arguing) No way, I'm smarter than all three of you combined. It should be me!
Luan: Nu huh. It should be me…
(The other three look at her work raised eyebrows.)
Luan: I don't have a reason…I think it would be me.
(Lynn Sr heads over to his room and enters. He turns to the turtles.)
Lynn Sr: You all make excellent points. This will be a difficult decision. I will meditate on it. (closes door. One second later, he opens it again) It's Lorinardo. (shuts it again)
(The Turtles turn away from the door. Lynn frowns, angered at his decision.)
Lori: No hard feelings, Lynn.
(Lori holds out her hand for a shake. Lynn smacks it aside before getting up and storming out of the room.)
Lynn: Go stick it in your shell.
(Luan: (watching her) Jeez, sensitive much.
(Later the Turtles are back above the sewers , standing on a roof. Sirens are heard. The Turtles stare intently at a building directly across from them. It's brown, and had a symbol on it's side that matches the logo on the van. Lori stands on the edge of their building, Luan is beside her, Lynn is behind them while Luna sits on a billboard further down advertising Star Wars: The Loud House edition.)
Luan: (to Lori) Remind me again what we're doing up here?
Lori, Lynn and Luna: (annoyed)Ohhhh, god.
Lori: For the last time, Luan, we've been over this. (points to the building they're staking out) That building has the same logo as the van that was used to kidnap the family. So if we wait here long enough, one if the kidnappers will eventually show himself. ,Stupid bad guys always do this. And when he does, we'll make him tell us were they took him.
Luan: Sweet, and we get a free van!
Lori: (face palms) Just hit the guy I tell you to.
Luan: (thumbs up) No prob.
(Lynn comes up beside Lori)
Lynn: (skeptical) You sure this is gonna work.
Lori: (certain) Trust me, girls. He'll be here any second.
(The Turtles wait…and wait…and wait. Luan and Luna play a round of paper football. Luan takes a nap. Lynn alternates spots, scowling the entire time. Finally Luan and Luna are sitting shell to shell, with Lynn behind them.)
Luan: Ok, I'm thinking of something green. Green. (enouncing) Green.
Luna: (not looking) Is it Lynnpheal again?
Luan: Man, you're too good at this!
Luna: Bloodbottler giant, give me strength.
(Lori hadn't moved from her vigil the entire time. She still stares at the building, not breaking contact. Lynn comes up and stands beside her.)
Lynn: (had enough) Give it up already. The guys not gonna show.
Lori: (still staring) We have to be patient.
Lynn: (annoyed) No, you have to come up with a better plan, cause the four of us just sittin' up here with our thumbs up our noses…
(Behind them, Luan lifts up and inspects her thumbs.)
Luan: I don't think they'll fit.
Lynn:…is pointless.
(Lori suddenly smirks.)
Lori: You sure about that, Lynn?
Lynn: (dead-pan) He just showed up, didn't he?
Lori: Mm-hm.
(The white van pulls up to the alley beside thr the building and the engine cuts off.)
Lynn: I shoulda complained two hours ago.
(Luna and Luan join them as they watch the drive get out. It's the guy in the tank-top.
Lori: (to the others, monologuing) Alright ladies, I have a bold and daring strategy. My orders must be carried out, without question.
(No one answers. Lori looks and sees they're already halfway to street level.)
Lori: Guys, come on. Wait up.
(Lori slides down the fire escape after them. Tank top walks out of the alley, heading for the building. He stops as he sees the Turtles surrounding him.)
Lynn: (cracking her knuckles) Ok tough guy, we can do this the easy way, or my vote (draws her Sai, smirking) the hard way.
(The three draw their weapons as well.)
Luna: I mean really, dude, think it through, there's four of us, and only one of you. (cocky) What are you gonna do?
(Tank top frowns. He suddenly pulls out a blaster and opens fire. )
Luna: (off guard) Blimey!
(The Turtles scatter as Tank top scrambles back into the van and starts switching it back on. Luna and Lynn regroup on a fire escape nearby.)
Lynn: (to Luna) You had to ask!
(Lori and Luan come out as the van speeds away down the street.)
Luna: He's getting away again.
Lori: Oh no, he's not.
(The Turtles climb up to the roof and leap and run across after the van. The van makes a sharp turn around a corner, with the Turtles leaping over, keeping it in their sights.)
(Lynn jumps to an ledge on a nearby building before making another jump. She laughs herself across the street from and slams on top of the van, grabbing onto the edges over the windows. The driver sees her and makes another sharp turn around . Lynn loses her grip and goes fling against a building, hard enough to crack the wall. She lays there groaning.)
(Lori watches him turn another corner and leaps across to another roof. Luna and Luan not far behind. They start gaining. Tank top looks in his rearview and notices the Turtles are keeping up. He pulls out his blaster again and shoots at them while he drives. Luna and Luan leap out of the line of fire, but Lori maintains her pursuit. She then leaps over to follow Luna and Luan, as she does so she throws a showing know at the van.)
(The knife hits the front tire. It blows, and the truck spins as Tank top applies the brakes. The truck swerves for a second before hitting a street light and flipping over and sliding down the street for several feet. It skids to a stop.)
Lori: And that's how it's done.
(The turtles drop behind a flight of steps not far away, keeping behind cover. Lori makes sense signals with her hands. Her sisters look confused.)
Lynn: (irate) I don't know what that means!
Lori: (sighs) You and Luan go around the other side while Luna and I take this one.
Luan: Why didn't you just say that?
(The Turtles move towards the van. Luna and Lori go around one side while Lynn and Luan go around the other. Not a sound comes from inside as they reach the back. It's open with some boxes tumbled out. Lori, Luna, and Luan stand at the ready as Lynn opens the door all the way.)
(A metal and glass canister full of glowing, florescent green gel rolls out and comes to a stop at Luan's feet. She stares at it before she sees something familiar about the canister. It matches the broken one Lynn Sr said caused their mutation.)
Luan: (shocked) MOM!?
(The color fades to black and white, with Luan looking shocked.)
