Hey guys

Hope you guys liked the last chapter.

So Lucas and Riley have finally cleared the air.

So let's see how the conversation with the others goes

Lucas spends the rest of the weekend with his friends catching up on the classes he missed.

Cory had also helped by explaining his lectures to Lucas separately.

As predicted by Lucas, the next day Riley told all their friends everything about their date.

When she was done, Farkle says, "Okay I have to admit that Topanga was right. You really did an amazing job with your second first date Lucas. I'm glad that you guys got a proper first date."

Lucas smiles and tips an imaginary hat.

They spend the rest of their Saturday completing their homework before going to their own homes to have dinner with their families.

The teens spend the next day simply talking and updating each other about what all is going on in their lives.

Maya and Zay also decide to bring their friends up to date with all the school gossip even though Lucas seemed a bit uninterested.

They were telling Lucas about their friends Yogi and Darbi when Maya tells them, "They go by 'Yobi' now. Those two are even going to get it printed in the school newspaper."

Farkle says, clearly exasperated, "How do you know all this stuff? I work on the newspaper and I haven't even heard about it."

Maya simply smirks in reply.

Zay says, "Oh and before I forget. Lucas, people have been asking me about your relationship with Riley. Apparently many people saw your Instagram post. Some think you two belong together while others think you're pranking everyone. I tried telling them that you two were serious but-"

Lucas immediately turns to Riley and asks, "Did anyone say anything to you?"

Riley shakes her head and replies, "If anyone even tried to say something Maya usually scared them off with a look. I'm not going to listen to them and make any more decisions. If I ever start having doubts, I promise I'll come straight to you. I'm not about to make the same mistake again."

Riley knew that Lucas was still afraid of losing her again over something their classmates might say, making her feel insecure.

She also knew that Lucas would need some time to get over this fear especially after the events of the past few months.

So she takes his hand in hers and squeezes it to reassure him.

Lucas responds by pulling Riley into a hug and kissing her forehead.

Maya quickly snaps a picture of the beautiful moment.

The teens all notice how Lucas looks at Riley with so much love and adoration in his eyes.

The look was familiar to all of them because that was how Lucas had always looked at Riley.

Maya feels bad about coming between the two lovebirds but immediately pushes aside the feeling.

They had all moved on from the events of the past few months.

Lucas and Riley's relationship had taught her that talking to one another was very important for any kind of relationship.

Lucas takes this opportunity to tell his friends all about his current relationship with his parents while Riley holds his hand the entire time.

His friends give him a hug one by one and promise to always be there for him.

The teens spend the rest of the day hanging out together.

They leave in the evening so that they can have dinner at home with their own families.

Lucas and Riley decide to help Topanga with dinner while Cory and Auggie spend some time together.

The three of them talk and Topanga was delighted to hear that the lovebirds had cleared things up.

During their conversation, she tells them about how she and Cory had also gone through similar situations when they were dating and even once when they were engaged.

The situations the two couples were in were different but the actions and their consequences were somewhat similar.

She, like Riley, ended up taking a decision that hurt both her and Cory due to her fears.

Cory, like Lucas, was extremely hurt by the actions of the girl he loved dearly.

Cory was usually the optimistic one of the two but there was one such occasion when he had a lapse in judgement.

Like Lucas, even Cory made a rash decision to help himself cope with the pain and suffering.

While Lucas had decided to ride a bull, Cory had chosen to drink with Shawn.

Topanga regretted not learning from her mistakes and continuously hurting Cory time and time again.

So she advises the young couple to always talk to each other.

She points a finger to Lucas and says, "You better not be bottling your feelings ever again. If you ever feel like you can't talk to your friends, you come to talk to either me or Cory. I don't want to see you making rash decisions again."

Lucas nods in reply and Topanga smiles before pulling him into a hug.

They pull away and get back to cooking.

Riley and Lucas set the table while Topanga goes to call her husband and son for dinner.

They all sit down to have dinner together and discuss how everyone's day went.

After dinner they all help clean up before going to bed.

Lucas is the first one up on Monday. He tried getting up but pain shot up in his body and he resisted the urge to cry out.

His body felt stiff but he continued to try and get up. Eventually he managed to sit up in bed and take his medicine.

He waited for a moment for the medicine to take effect when he noticed that Riley was starting to wake up.

Riley woke up to find Lucas sitting up in bed.

She was shocked and her expression made Lucas laugh before he says, "Good morning Riley. Sleep well?"

Riley snaps out of her trance and replies, "Good morning Lucas. I slept fine but what about you? Are you in any kind of pain?"

Lucas shakes his head and says, "Not anymore. I just took my morning medicine. You want to start getting ready now because I think I still need a few more minutes before I get up."

Riley nods and goes to the bathroom to get ready.

When she comes out she finds Lucas selecting his clothes for the day.

Lucas sees her and smiles before going to the bathroom himself to get ready.

Riley looks around her room to check if they were forgetting something for school and double checks on Lucas' medicine.

Lucas comes out and together the two of them go to have breakfast with the family.

Auggie is the first one to see them and says, "Good morning guys."

They reply back in unison, "Good morning Auggie."

Topanga also greets them while giving them their breakfast. Cory greets them while telling them to sit down.

The doorbell rings and Maya's voice comes through the intercom, "Hey losers, it's Maya."

Riley goes to buzz her up while Lucas asks, "Does she greet you all like this everyday?"

Topanga sets a plate at the table for Maya while Cory replies, "Almost every time she comes through the front door"

Auggie adds, "Sometimes when she comes she only insults dad. It's fun to watch."

Everyone laughs while Cory pouts. Soon Maya also joins them for breakfast.

After having breakfast Riley, Lucas and Maya leave for the subway station.

Topanga had wanted Cory to drive Lucas to school his first day but Lucas insisted on traveling with his friends.

Topanga understood that Lucas wanted some familiarity back in his life which was why she had agreed.

Lucas was over the moon to have won the argument. He couldn't wait to get back to his regular routine.

Sure there were some changes in his living conditions, but he was getting the rest of his routine back so he couldn't really complain.

The three of them meet Farkle on the subway and walk to school together. They meet Smackle and Zay right outside school.

Normally the gang would meet at their lockers, but it was Lucas' first day back so they had decided to walk into the building together.

Lucas looks at the building nervously so Riley holds his hand and squeezes it.

Lucas shoots her a grateful look and starts walking into the school building.

He was finally leaving his protected world and stepping back into reality.

I wonder how their day will go
