This chapter took a bit to write because of other projects, and also I forgot what the Joker talked like. I'm serious!
Scarecrow sat in the rec room, watching TV.
Usually, something interesting was on TV, but the only thing on was sports.
He was the only one sitting down and was still thinking about his "subject".
Dr. Young seemed like a very special specimen and he looked forward to breaking her, indeed he did. Just like every other doctor before her, it was inevitable.
An Arkham guard walked into the rec room with two prisoners. They were the clown prince of crime, Joker, and the eco terrorist, Poison Ivy.
Joker had on the normal white straight jacket and Poison Ivy had on a normal Arkham patient jumpsuit.
Both of them sat down next to each other. They both didn't enjoy each other's company and weren't wanting to really make conversation, but there wasn't anything else to do and nothing good was on TV.
Joker looked at Scarecrow. "So, how's my favorite nutcase?" Joker asked, laughing at the end of his words.
"Not now clown. I'm thinking." Scarecrow told him.
He hoped that would shoo away the clown prince of crime, but unfortunately, Joker is very nosy.
"Ooh, that sounds like fun. What are you thinking about?" Joker rested his hand under his chin in a thinking position. "Have some surprises in store for all the meat bags that walk through this joint? How to escape the madhouse?" He asked.
"No, Joker. This doesn't concern you."
Scarecrow wanted the clown prince of crime to leave him alone, so he could think.
But Joker wasn't done speaking. "How about some surprises planned for tall, dark and brooding? Do you have any plans, Scarecrow? I know I have tons planned!" Joker used his arms to exaggerate what he was talking about. "A party that's to die for." Scarecrow looked at him funny. "No really, no joke." He said putting on a serious expression.
"Can you shut up, Joker?!" Yelled Poison Ivy.
An Arkham guard walked over to the ex-botanist. He had a baton in his hand. "Quiet, or I'll put you back in your cell!" The guard snapped.
Ivy crossed her arms and looked over at Joker. "He was being annoying, unbearable."
The guard looked over at Joker. "Sheesh, some folks can't take a joke, I tell ya." He said, hands behind his back and sitting in a relaxed position. "You're lucky that I'm feeling nice today, Pam."
The Arkham guard really didn't feel like putting up with the super criminals today. "You both better be quiet, or there will be major consequences." He warned.
Joker smiled. "Johnny, remind me to shoot that guy and then hunt down his family." He said after the guard had left the area. "I think it's a fun plan for the summer."
Scarecrow was getting really annoyed at the Joker and was about ready to yell at him, but that wouldn't be a wise choice. The clown prince of crime would force a deadly consequence upon him.
"Joker, how am I supposed to think of how to break Dr. Young if you keep talking?" He asked, looking at Joker.
Poison Ivy darted her eyes over at Scarecrow. "Wait, you're trying to break Dr. Young?" She asked, curious.
"Yes, I am. She is my experiment right now and I'm trying to break her quickly."
Ivy's expression turned to a frown. "I hate her. She's the worst doctor in this whole asylum."
Joker looked over at Poison Ivy. "Pam, that's not very nice. That doc is actually very helpful" Joker's voice turned to a whisper. "For now until I'm done."
"I just hate her. She isn't very sympathetic, and she hurt my poor babies." She clenched her fists. "But I'll get back at her, I will. I'm going to turn her into a plan, or feed her to my babies!"
The clown prince of crime put his hand over Scarecrow's shoulder. "But why the sudden interest in that particular doctor? Are you trying to steal my doc?" Joker questioned. "I was trying my moves on her."
"She's my doctor for now, but I'll break her soon. It's only a matter of time."
"How did you get Dr. Young? I thought only Joker and Harley had her." Poison Ivy said, her interest growing.
Scarecrow looked over at the ex-botanist. "She took on my case." He scratched under his chin. "Probably thinks I can be cured."
Joker was laughing. "So we all have the same doc? Now, that is funny!"
Poison Ivy had a grim expression plastered all over her face. "Do me a favor, make her suffer."
"First, I need to find out what she fears." Scarecrow crossed his arms, looking up at the ceiling. "And so far, that hasn't been easy. I've gotten a few small hints, but it all points to something bigger." He explained.
"What? That the doctor isn't as sane as she claims to be?" Asked Joker.
"It appears so, but every doctor is like that. All it takes is a little push" Scarecrow said as he was escorted back to his cell. "And I intend to uncover that very soon."
Joker and Ivy just sat there. A twisted idea started to form into his head. He had an excellent idea of how to give the doctor that little push.
"What are you thinking about, Joker?" Ivy asked. "You have a strange smile on your face."
"Ivy darling, I'm always happy. I have a few ideas of how to give Dr. Young that much needed push," Joker put his hands together as he hatched an evil plan. "And I have the perfect candidate for the job." He whispered.
"So, your plan is to make the doctor go nuts?" Poison Ivy questioned.
"Precisely." Joker answered.
Poison Ivy didn't say anything else to the clown prince of crime. She already knew what his game plan was. Only a matter of time before Dr. Young loses her sanity with the Joker involved. She would give it about a week.
But still, she would much rather prefer the snobby doctor suffer. Ivy was just going to have to see this whole thing play out.
