Arc Summary: "All things change; all people grow. Including Kei Weilan. The only question is, is that change for better...or for worse?"
Years have passed and the trio of orphans from Hage have grown. Asta, Yuno and Kei are now ready to set off and try their luck at the Magic Knights entrance exam. When Asta is accepted at the last moment by the Black Bulls captain, Kei, of course, follows him. However, the Black Bulls are nothing like what he had expected and Kei's views of the nobles, the commoners and Clover Kingdom at large, begin to shatter, one by one. 'DANCE IN THE MOONLIGHT' ARC
the anti magic grimoire part three
Kei's visions prior to this day had all been warning him about one thing changing drastically. They had been very clear and concise this time and he had long since learned how to read into them properly. He knew how this was to play out.
He should not interfere. It wouldn't matter if he did.
The event playing out at this very moment was both momentous and impossible to truly affect.
Kei knew that little would change, should he interfere with this.
Trouble was...
He wanted to interfere. Wanted to finally, finally let his two friends know the truth. For the first time in his life, he wanted to go against what the visions were telling him to do.
Kei was rushing now, practically running to the spot he knew Yuno and Asta would be. Lavener-tinted hair bounced on his back and shoulders.
I have to hurry.
I need to be there NOW.
Or I'll-
I'll-
For the first time, he wanted to be more than a silent witness to the future's path unfolding. This wasn't anything big, in the long run but... Kei wanted to be a part of the visions his magic sent him. Shaping the future as it played out... that was his dream.
'There they are!' Kei gasped.
The moonlight mage came to a halt.
There was Yuno. There was Asta. And that chain-magic user too, taunting and mocking Asta with his words. Kei felt something bubble up in his chest as he took in the scene. Icy, cold and sharp. An emotion he had felt countless times before.
'This world has no use for someone like you, a poor magic-less fool. You might as well give it all up right now. You were born a loser, you worthless runt!'
Kei gritted his teeth, anger flashing in his eyes.
And who are you to talk? How dare you pretend you know them!
'Hey! Asta!'
