[ Chapter 1 : The Cheeki Awakens ]

[ Welcome To Remnant ]

The Emerald Forest, a place filled with Grimm but also a place of natural beauty. However, it was also the farthest place you'd want to frankly be in. The forest was undisturbed at the moment, the new summer season taking place as leaves fell from the trees down to the ground. Curiously, a small pile of them had landed on top of something, taking the form of an average human figure. Said figure bolted upright, shaking the leaves off him as he whipped his head from side to side. This figure, was aptly named Adam Cry, although some people would call him online to be 'Doc', 'Vadmin', Or 'Batshit insane'. However, these titles that were given upon to him would have no bearing to him in the future nor in real life, but rather an achievement amongst many things that he has done within the online world.

Adam was roughly 18 years old, however considering he never really celebrated birthdays he could've easily said he was around 20 with his stubble he called facial hair. He wore a set of military fatigues with a kevlar vest on him, however he didn't recall wearing said uniform when he passed out on the bed. Adam muttered to himself as he rubbed his eyes, not taking a moment to realize he was in a forest. He stood up before he yawned, stretching his arms out and taking in the forest view beyond him. . . Forest? Adam blinked, looking around before he asked the world the question anyone would ask when dumped into a new world, "Where the hell am I?"

He was awfully calm about the whole situation… Although, if he was his regular self, Adam would most likely be having a breakdown at the moment. Not that the breakdown would be about being in a new world, but how many things he would've missed in the day such as… Well, gaming. Adam looked down at himself, seeing the new fatigues on him that was swapped out from his usual clothing that consisted of nothing more than some jeans, a T-shirt, and jacket. He nodded appreciatively as he took a good look at the uniform, Adam was the type of man to enjoy some good uniforms in game or just how NPCs looked as evident of him steal from various NPCs that had good clothing on them. Of course, he never killed any passive NPCs because he wasn't the type of person to kill random NPCs unless they pissed him off. He found a patch on his shoulder… It was seemingly old, or at least that's what Adam thought due to the discoloration. It was a brown and yellow nuclear symbol… eerily resembling or rather exactly resembling the Loner patch from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Adam shrugged before he looked around him, dismissing any thought he could've had at the moment as he walked forwards. He only had the clothes on his back to support him as of now, better to go find some shelter as his survival instincts kicked in. Hey, perhaps there would be some civiliza-

Adam was surprised as a blue screen seemingly popped up in front of him. "Well, shit… What the hell am I in? Is this the beginning of Sword Art Online? I fucking hope not, I don't want to become a harem protagonist… or do I?" He smirked at his own little joke, to be perfectly honest with himself, he did enjoy SAO a little bit… If only for learning about how the game itself worked, everything else could be thrown out the window without care and he wouldn't mind. His thoughts turned back to the blue screen in front of him only noticing two smaller screens that either said 'Yes' or 'No'. He picked the 'Yes' option, hopefully it wouldn't be along the lines of having to look around and moving… He'd already done that. Not only that, but the 'X' levels interested him, wouldn't it display a number instead of an X? Whatever, 3 additional items and the money would help him in the future anyways...

Great! Now then, first off the basics. The Menu System, all that is required to open it is a mere thought or a whisper if you wish. Optionally, a shout is accepted and won't attract any NPC's reaction nor thought about what your doing as that would be immersion breaking.

The Menu system branches off into four menus, 'Skills', 'Stats', 'Inventory', and finally 'Quests'. You can open them up individually as well using thoughts or speech, but the Menu is also there if you require. Additionally, more menus may be added or unlocked depending on your skills, levels, or other factors.

Adam sighed as he looked over each text box, pressing on an arrow every time a menu showed up. He just hoped it would be over faster so he could get to the more interesting parts or stuff that he didn't know about such as mechanics… Doesn't seem like it would get any faster at this point.

Now then, I'm certain you know that all of these can be learned rather quickly due to your gaming experience, so let's just skip to the fun stuff shall we?

Now then, simply imagine 3 items you'd wish to bring into the world. They can be anything, and when I mean anything… I mean anything. Of course, you'll have to be wise with your selection.

He smirked, "Anything you say…?" Adam took the time to pace around the menu, thinking about what he wanted to bring into the world. Of course, first off he'd want some form of weaponry out of anything since he didn't know what type of horrors were going to be thrust upon him. Secondly… Perhaps some form of communication or navigation, he would want to know his way around the planet… if he was even on one. Thirdly… Food and water perhaps? Although he could find it on the planet since he wasn't dead from the beginning, he wasn't quite sure if anything was edible or if there were other people. He paced around some more before he decided to make his choices… First, a PDA much like the one from S.T.A.L.K.E.R, it was going to cover navigation and help with keeping track of things such as quest locations. The second choice was… Well… He held up a golden card of sorts. It honestly reminded him of a computer's motherboard minus the fact it didn't actually have any components on it but rather a single etched symbol in the middle of it. . . Or rather, where a symbol would be most appropriately placed since it was blank for the most part. Adam had a feeling it would come into play later on. He looked at it intensively, almost as if he was expecting something.

By sheer willpower, you've learned a new skill!

[ Observe ]

By experimenting with your mind, you've gained 2 INT points!

Adam looked to the card in hand, waving off the new menu that appeared in front of him, not particularly caring at the moment. A new menu showed up this time, a rather small one since it was just a mere description of the object in hand.

[Adam's MechPilot Card

- Rarity : Legendary

- A small golden card that allows the User to call in a Mech of any type down to the planet or area surrounding them. This unique card has no restrictions on what Mech the User may call in, just as long as it is under 200 Tons and is usable. The Mech called in can be customized at any point within a safe spot and while out of combat. This card may be replaced for a better variant or upgraded.]

"Wow… That is… seriously overpowered." Adam spoke to nobody in particular, looking at the card down in front of him. He smirked, knowing that the power was within his grasp now. Of course, if other people had mechs much like him, he was in for a rough time considering that the game he was referencing this off from he didn't have much experience in. Ah well, now's not the time to worry about it at the moment. The final object he chose was… pretty insignificant compared to the earlier two choices. It was nothing more than just a couple of MREs and some water bottles jumbled together in a pack, held together by a military sack.

Now that you've completed the tutorial, have some fun with shaping the world as you please! There is absolutely no hand-holding unless it is required or asked by the player, and of course like any good game, all the choices you make will reflect on the world.

Have a good one, User.

Rewards :

- The 3 Chosen Items

- 10 Levels

- 500 Lien

"10 levels huh? That's some pretty generous rewards considering the fact it was only a tutori- Wait. Lien?" Adam paused for a moment as he was contemplating the rewards, Lien… Now, where had he heard that before? Adam tapped at his chin, trying to remember where he heard the word 'Lien' before. The realization hit him soon after… Curiously, Adam looked up to the sky before he spoke out loud. "By the Emperor… Don't tell me… Am I in RWBY?" He looked down at his gloved hands before he placed them over his forehead, "Why… No… I don't want to deal with teenage angst and fuckin… Ugh." Adam could only contemplate about his current situation at the moment. At precisely what time did he arrive within the RWBY timeline, was this before or after Volume 1? Did anything change before he even arrived to the world of Remnant, or perhaps it was all the same until he would arrive to a city? Hell, how would he even get into Beacon much less… Was he even in Vale? No, he most likely was in Vale since there wasn't desert surrounding the entire place or the god-forsaken tundras of Atlas… But that still lift things up in the air for him to figure out.

He sighed as he paced around the forest, choosing no particular direction before he started to walk. Adam went over his skills and stats as he continued to think, of course he'd have the classical 'Gamer's Body' and 'Gamer's Mind', but not much of anything else. Still, he selected the Skills menu and looked over the skills he had anyways.

[Gamer's Body ( Passive ) LV MAX] - The User's body will not be affected by sleep deprivation, hunger, nor thirst much like a video game character. Damage be reduced to a sharp pain and only visibility shown based on remaining HP, not suffered.

[Gamer's Mind ( Passive ) LV MAX] - Recognizes the realm as a game, keeping the user calm and collected in any situation. Also prevents mind takeover or persuasion, can be turned off optionally.

Eventually, his mind turned to the timeline of RWBY, going over the possibilities of where he was currently. Okay, his best case scenario was that it was before Season 1 of RWBY and that he was somewhere in Vale. Worst-case scenario was that he was in an Alternate Universe where Grimm took over everyone or well… I mean, he could be past a couple of seasons. Adam continued to walk along before he realized something… "Wait, why am I walking? I got a goddamn Mech card on me!"

Not particularly caring how stupid he looked at the moment, he held up the card with both of his hands before he shouted to the skies, "Summon!". . . Well, nothing happened after a few short minutes. Adam sighed, looking back down at the card. Adam tapped on the card while he was holding it, this time a new menu appeared in front of him.

[ Deploy Mech ] | [ Customize Mech ] | [ Mech Selection ]

Adam tapped on the 'Deploy Mech' option, feeling the sensation as if he were actually tapping on a screen. It vanished a few moments later before Adam could hear a loud 'Boom' in the sky. He looked up and saw something entering the atmosphere… and heading for him rather quickly as it was covered in flames due to entering the atmosphere. Instinctively, Adam ducked for cover as a large metallic object impacted the ground where he was facing just a few moments earlier, kicking up debris and dust into the air. After the dust had cleared from his field of vision a few short moments later, he saw his summoned Mech… and by the Emperor it was glorious.

[ Centurion Medium Mech ]

[ Model : CN9-A ]

[ Pilot Owner : Adam Cry ]

Adam whistled as he got closer to the Mech, a now-beaming smile on his face. It was staggering to see an actual Mech up-close and personal, it's metal frame gleaming in the sunlight with it's massive autocannon. A new menu showed up in front of him, 'Enter Mech?', he pressed it immediately before he found himself thrust into the Mech's cockpit. Everything was tiny from up above… He felt like a god. The only question now was how did he activate it? Adam could see two piloting sticks, along with various and a numerous number of buttons along what he guessed was to be the terminal. A few of them were glowing in some sort of outline, indicating what he was supposed to do next. He began to flick them on as the systems started to power up with each new system activated, he heard a robotic female voice as he continued on.

"Reactor online. Sensors online. Weapons online… All systems, nominal."

Adam's view became cluttered as he activated each new system. He saw the outlining of his mech indicated in a gold color to the left of his cockpit which indicated none of his parts were damaged, his weaponry set over to the right of his vision which consisted of the 'stock equipment' which was to say, an autocannon, a guided missile launcher, and two lasers all of which were mounted on various parts of his mech. Two bars which indicated his heat levels and his speed output, before finally… A blank map in the middle? Adam squinted as he looked closer, it only showed an arrow where he would be in the middle, but also a radar-esque view within a field. Well… there was only the part where he currently was that was mapped out, filled with trees… and seemingly nothing else.

There was a roar in the distance, seemingly made by a type of bear… Oh wait. That was probably Grimm headed in his direction. "Well… Let's see what this puppy can do against Grimm eh? Probably going to be a piece of cake." He muttered to himself, wishing he had some tunes to listen to… Wait, what if he simply thought of what he wanted to listen to?

[ Now Playing - Bandit Radio [ S.T.A.L.K.E.R ] ]

The background music began to play to the tune of 'Bandit Radio' from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series. Adam listened intently as he looked down to the HUD, the map now showing multiple red dots quickly heading for him. He smirked, surely this would be easy enough to deal with since he was in a Mech that was roughly 14 meters high? Meh, he never bothered to learn about height in regards to these sorts of things, the only thing he knew was shooting things and grinding in games. The Mech jolted forwards as he increased the speed of his Mech from zero to 15 miles an hour, the torso moved as Adam lined up his Medium Lasers to the approaching Grimm horde… Let it be known that all will come to fear the Mech Bandit!

Adam laughed as he turned the Grimm to ash and dust, marching through the forest with reckless abandon. Now, if he was correct there should hopefully be a nearby city or village somewhere if he wasn't the only one on the planet, it was just going to take some time to find one. . .

AN : Guess who's back! ( for probably like 1 day ). Honestly, I don't do author notes that much, but hey, it's something. I've decided to start from scratch, it's been a year or so since I've updated... huh? I've decided to upload this with Chapter 2, so it's pretty much replaces the old story I've come up with this. This is now version 3.0! Now starring stats and a OP gamer! These stats are prior Chapter 2.
