When he looks up at her, the look he gave her was like an animal. One that was on the hunt. He reached up around his collar to undo his tie as he starts walking to her when someone knocks on the door. He looks as though he's going to ignore it but when the pounding continues he drops his head.
"I want this, but it could be the kids." Elliot says as he turns around to head for the door. Olivia smiles. He wants her, but he is right about the kids. She quickly throws on her pajamas. She walks out of her room in a NYPD sweatshirt that is about 20 years old and pink flannel pants. She is shocked to not see any of the kids, but she finds herself staring at half of her team and Carisi.
"What's going on? Are the kids okay?" Olivia says walking up to stand next to Elliot.
"Everyone is fine Liv. We just need to talk and it's pretty damn urgent." Amanda explains sitting down on the couch. Fin joins her, not making eye contact with Olivia.
"Fin? What's going on?" Olivia knows her friend, she knows when something is wrong and when he's hiding something. She sits across from him on the coffee table moving Eli's homework.
"What have you told him?" Carisi asks. He stands behind the couch. Olivia looks up at him as if she doesn't know who the "he" is. Carisi keeps his eyes on Elliot as if at any moment he'll snap.
"Not a lot, just about Simon." Olivia looks between all the men in the room.
"You need to tell him everything." Carisi says finally looking at Olivia.
"Everything?" She asks standing.
"Everything. From Ed to Lewis." Fin spoke up. "They plan on playing every interview that son of a bitch ever did with any of us."
"Ed Tucker?" Elliot asks. Olivia is pale. She feels as though she was going to vomit. Her brave face falls and she collapses into her hands. He sits next to her and puts his hand on her back. She moves away from him and walks into her room.
"Tell him." She says as she closes the door. All eyes turn to Elliot. Then to Fin. He took a deep breath.
"What I am going to say, you cannot interrupt and you cannot lash out." Fin said, moving to stand behind the couch. He made eye contact with Elliot.
"I give you my word." Elliot says not breaking eye contact.
"First, her and Brian Cassidy were together for awhile. But, then Lewis happened. She was kidnapped, assaulted both physically and sexually." Fin broke eye contact as Elliot stood up and was shoved back down by Carisi. "It took us 4 days to find her. When we finally did She looked for you." Elliot let out a whimper. In 2 sentences Fin had broken him. "When she came back she was a shell of who she once was and when he came back." Fin looked away from the room. "When he came back, she was stronger and shes been that strong since, a lot happened in that case but what hes gonna throw at you is that its happened. That she was taken and that it happened again and that he killed himself right in front of her and a little girl he had kidnapped. Then She adopted Noah. His father is a rapist serving life up in Rykers. Then came Ed Tucker. They were something else. But, he loved her so much, but when she wouldn't retire they broke up and he got married and shot himself. Didn't want to be a burden to her. Then Simon died then Noah got kidnapped by his grandmother and then she was arrested, she's been held hostage more times than I'd like to count. She's gone through it man." Fin stops to gage his reaction. Tears flowed off of Elliot's face.
"You can't react in court tomorrow." Carisi adds. Elliot nods and stands. He wipes his eyes, looks around the room and walks towards the bedroom. He opens the door and sees Olivia crying. He closes the door behind him and walks over to the bed. He pulls back the covers and crawls into bed next to her. She turns to him and wraps herself around him and cries.
"I should've come back sooner." He says.
