Voidverse
It took a while for the notice to spread, but when it reach even the farthest place of all, it was like multiverse as a whole cried.
A cry of excitement from those who blindly caused the fall of the Destroyer and his allies.
A cry of rage from a goddess when feel her strings on her puppet's soul being broken, hurting her in the process.
A cry of pain from a mother who was feeling the connection with her children being taken away from her.
A cry of confusion from a Creator having one of his most basics knowledge broken.
A cry of disbelief from a Guardian after seeing his brother prefer to jump into the void rather than return to him.
…
And a cry of excitement from a reaper as he felt the time to take revenge for the loss of his loved one finally arriving.
And he promise that in the moment this disgusting place show the first sights of crumble, he will follow his former lover wherever he has gone.
Because the only soul that make his existence in this repulsive multiverse worthy of living in was no more here, not even his "other half", his little brother, could make him stay in this place anymore.
Because he once promised…
He promised to his beloved Geno that he would love him no matter what he looked like, the glitched skeleton had days where his glitches were more prominent, he believed that that would make Reaper turn away from him.
It took to bind their souls so that his loved one finally stop doubting Reaper's love for him.
(As if Reaper could find someone else capable of see him, one the two Gods of Death and like him, much less love him, nope, Geno was special in that way and Reaper would have followed him to the next life if he had actually died instead of being taken away by Fate).
He will love Geno no matter what he looks like.
(He will love him even if Geno forgot about him).
And what matter if Error didn't love him like before?
And what if he was no more than a friend-ally in Error's eyes?
That didn't matter, he'll still ensure the happiness and safety of him and those who he now call his brothers.
Reaper didn't care as long as his soulmate was safe, sound and happy.
(And if a part him was hoping that in this new multiverse, without the constant stress, fear and pain that Ink brough over Error, maybe they could star over).
But those were thoughts for the future.
He knew that now that the Bad Sanses and the Destroyer disappeared from the Multiverse, Ink would go into a creative spree and no one would get him to stop.
But as much as he wanted to go to his mother-in-law and ask her to send him along to that Multiverse where Error was now, but he still had one last duty to fulfill, with both Error and Geno.
He had seen how painful it was when a Universe fell to the void without further ado, the screams and pleas were deafening, and as much as it gave him satisfaction to think of those who hurt Error and the rest of the Gang so much suffering that fate, there were Universes and Monsters who didn't deserve it.
Outer and the Outertale Universes for example were special for both of his loved ones, space fascinated them and Outer was always neutral with Error, even at times he and his brother cured him when he fell unconscious in their universe, unable to give more after one particularly terrible battle against the Star Sanses.
The same happened with the Papyrus, Toriels and even some Asgores from other universes, it hurt Reaper in the soul to know that so many had cared for his soulmate when he was convinced that no one except his family and Reaper himself cared about him and his well-being.
(Although a treacherous part of him was happy about his ignorance, who knows how more difficult it would have been to convince him to leave the Multiverse if he had noticed.)
He was going to track each and every one of them and kill them all, simple.
They deserved a 'peaceful' death after all, it was better than the eternal torture that would be to leave his mother-in-law destroy them once she came out of her mourning state.
Because once Ink started destabilizing the Multiverse with all of his AU's and thereby destabilizing all of his universes, he knew that she wouldn't waste time to retry to destroy every AU her void could reach, which would only cause the reaction on-chain would affect even more AUs than it should.
So yeah, Reaper was doing those universes and Monsters a favor by killing them instead of her.
And he knew exactly what universe to start with.
Helltale #43 has been waiting for its destruction for too long.
Helltale copy #43
Sans was actually having a good day after years of misery.
The thing is, until today he was not having a good life.
What was Ink thinking when he created the original Helltale was a mystery.
Why he later created 43 COPIES of that cursed AU was an even bigger mystery, but Sans surely hate him for it.
Helltale was exactly what his name suggest, a living hell, for its Monsters.
Monster souls were made of magic and love, but the humans souls from his Universe were filled with so much HATE that all that love was suffocated, drowned and if monsters were too close to many humans at the same time they would dust on the spot, even Boss Monsters.
His universe was the only one in the multiverse were the monsters weren't send underground by some lost war against the humans, oh no, they sealed themselves in Mont Ebott, a desperate attempt to live, the only way they had to survived.
But human's hate reached even this down, Chara was an exception to the rule, the prince had DETERMINATION instead of HATE on their Soul, opposite to all the other humans that fallen down into the Underground years after them. They personally killed them all once reached the appropriated age to take a sword was what history says.
Sans was just a kid when the Chara passed away, too old to keep going anymore, and the back then prince Asriel took their SOUL, fussing them and transforming him in a powerful Boss Monster, the now king was enough to protect them from the hate-filled humans that fall into their home.
But it wasn't enough to stop Frisk, not alone at least.
Frisk, a kid whose souls full of DETERMINATION but whose head was also full of lies about the Monsters.
The kid was convinced that the only reason humans souls were so filled with HATE was because Monsters stole all their love and hide it away in the underground.
No matter how many times him and other Monsters tried to make it mind change, all just fall in deaf ears, learning about Chara somehow convinced it even more, twisting what was a story about a human child finding happiness between a Monster family, away from all the human hate and turning it into some horror fairytale where somehow the Dreemurs kidnap a human child and brainwashed them, turning them against their own race.
Sans and other Monsters stop trying to change Frisk mind after that, it was useless, so they just concentrate in get into its way to the Throne Room, were the former Queen and King along with the King Asriel were waiting for Frisk in the few RESETS were the kid manage its way to them.
(Together, not even ONCE that demon has been capable to took Chara's Soul from Asriel).
RESET after RESET, battle after battle, the Underground remember the Demon Child and the Genocide it tried to do on their race.
It was on one of those RESETS when the original Helltale Sans was taken by the False God.
Full of colors with a fake smile and fake feelings, the False God preached about his love and concern to his AU's, at the same time that he refused to listen to the concerns and regrets of his original and his Universe.
The original hate him on the spot and all his copies, himself included, hate him too as soon as the original found a way to contact them and warning them about the lies of this so-called "God of Creation", Ink.
But something good come from that encounter.
The knowledge of an opposite of the False God, a god of destruction and death whose job in the Multiverse was to get those in pain a merciful ending in his hands, with a 'dark' appearance and blue tears coming from his eyes, regretful of having to kill innocent lives but resigned about that being the best for those universes.
Of course, the False God didn't express about the other God that way, not even close to that, but his original could easily see through his lies and was ecstatic about the new information, it was perfectly clear for him that this Ink was trying to stain the name of his opponent by spreading lies about him to his "creations" about his true purpose in the Multiverse.
But the Monster in Helltale and its copies were smarter than that, they knew that even without Frisk their days were counted, the HATE of the humans will soon or later dust them all, what was the reason in wait anymore when outside in the Multiverse was a merciful God, perfectly capable of take them out their miserable existence?
So, after that, each new RESET, all the Helltales each made an altar for the Death God and prayed for him to come for their souls, to take them out of this endless cycle.
And one day, he responded to their pray.
Unfortunately, because of the False God, Sans and his people were incapable of getting that glorious ending, Ink "saved" them before the Death God reach their Universe to finish their lives one and for all.
But he got hear about what happened to the original and the other 42 copies, and oh boy was he jealous of them, of the fact that they managed to be in the Death God's merciful embrace before having their Souls shattered by him.
Sans and his Universe just manage to feel a little of that sweet freedom for a brief moment, when the original Helltale was destroyed and the connection between their souls were broken in a way that no RESET would bring back again and how the Universe rapidly follow them.
They were so close to follow them to the eternal rest, but then, the False God decided to interfered and driving away the God of Death before he could reach them, the last Helltale in the Multiverse.
The idiot probably believed that he would be receive with praises and thanks for his actions, the bastard still had the gall to tell them that they were now "safe".
He was quite surprised when instead of that he was "greeted" with attacks, insults and curses at his name, all Monsters alike, perhaps for the first time in their miserable existences, felt genuine HATE towards the False Savior.
That HATE remain for the next RESETS and even the Demon Child seemed somehow worried to see the Monsters so weak but somehow more powerful than before.
What used to be multi-turn battles turned into two-turn battles, no Monster could make more than one attack before succumbing to HATE in their Souls and turning to dust, but that single attack was 10 times stronger than any of their special attacks ever were.
It didn't help that every RESET they change they attack patterns and numbers of monsters attacking, sometimes Sans would be the first Snowdin Monster to attack the child, sometimes he was the along with Papyrus, sometimes his brother was with him in the beginning of the Snowdin zone.
Frisk with pure sheer luck could reach Waterfall nowadays, Snowdin was almost impossible to cross with all its inhabitants going against the Demon Child.
(Papyrus basically make his duty avoid the Demon Child from exit or sometimes enter the city at any cost, his little brother was that awesome).
But even after that, without fail, each new RESET, they kept building their altar, asking, praying, begging for their God to return and release them from their torment.
The news of the supposed death of their God almost broke them, the very concept of their only salvation being destroyed by the False God, the very thought that the False Savior would win and they would be doomed for the rest of eternity was noncredible.
So, they acted as if the news didn't even exist, but if their altar in the Capital became bigger and instead of small groups at once, it was all of Monsterkind that now gathered together to pray for their God, that was his business and nobody else's.
And finally, a few RESETS after that, their prayers were finally answered.
The Death God was finally honoring them with his godly presence.
He was exactly as others described him, his body almost consumed by darkness, blue tears spilling from his sockets, the sensation of death and perish almost drowning them.
It all what they dream off and more.
(In his face and hands were scars and Sans just knew they were caused by the False God).
(And for a moment Sans thought he was distinguishing his own face in the face of his God, as if he were also another Sans in the Multiverse, but the thought did not last long in his mind, the euphoria at his soon death or any other feeling was discarded while King Asriel stepped forward and spoke to the deity).
"You are here to kill us". It wasn't a question and his King don't even tried to hide the hope in his voice, and Sans could feel how his brother takes his hand, shaken with excitement from what was about to happen.
For a brief moment, the God seemed surprised, as if he wasn't used to encountering monsters willing to be destroyed so often, but he quickly pulled himself together and spoke, his voice echoing throughout the plaza. "Yes, I'm sorry I left you and all your subjects waiting, I promise this will be quick".
…
The last Helltale was emptied of all life that day, the universe became an empty shell floating in the Multiverse.
And now empty of life, the void that for so many years surrounded the universe, unable to destroy it, was filtered now that all the Souls created by Ink there no longer existed there.
Void didn't notice, distracted by her pain, putting all of her attention on her remaining children in Undertale.
Ink noticed, but he was under so many vials of yellow paint that he unconsciously dismissed it.
(He could no longer ignore it once Outertale and Aftertale were destroyed in the same way juts a week later.)
