It was the crack of dawn, Fly had woken up before everyone else but he couldn't take his eyes off Honey. He slept well for the rest of the night after his nightmare, after she calmed him down. He was desperate to tell her how he felt but anxiety took over him and his thoughts ate away at him. He always worried if she never felt the same, but Chuck said he could tell she likes him too.
Honey started to stir, she opened her eyes and saw Fly staring at her before he turned away awkwardly.
"Good morning." She yawned.
"Good morning." He replied.
"Have you been awake long?"
"No, just 5 minutes before you woke up." Fly answered.
"Did you sleep ok after what happened?" She questioned.
"Yeah, I didn't have another nightmare. It's probably my mind playing tricks on me because I'm a fish again and those fish that took over Joe's empire." He answered.
"I suppose so, but it's understandable. Do you think we should wake Chuck and Stella? We need to get a move on." Honey suggested.
"I'll wake Chuck up, you wake Stella." He instructed.
Honey agreed, swimming over to gently wake Stella and place her in her fins until she properly woke up. As Honey turned around, she noticed Fly was having trouble waking Chuck until he slapped Fly in the face by accident stinging him. Fly quickly cried out in pain of the shock, putting him to the floor.
Honey and Stella laughed hysterically and Chuck couldn't stop apologising to Fly as he helped him up.
"It's not funny, that hurt!" Fly growled at Honey and his sister.
Honey and Stella quickly stopped, but their faces couldn't contain their laughter. They couldn't hold their laughter in and they started laughing again but even harder.
"I'm sorry Fly." Honey couldn't breathe as she attempted to contain her laughter.
Fly wasn't amused, until he and Chuck couldn't help but slightly laugh too.
"I think we should get going." Chuck suggested.
The group of four continued to swim north attempting to find the generator.
"What did the Professor say it looked like again?" Fly asked Chuck.
"A big, grey box. There's a leaver on the side of it to reactivate it. Once it's pulled It can't be deactivated again, only unless someone destroys it from the Professors laboratory." He answered Fly.
"Grey is boring, why not pink?" Stella asked.
"I agree, why can't it be pink?" Honey said.
"Or orange." Fly giving his input.
"Because they're vibrant colours, it'd be weird to have a large, vibrant box in the middle of the sea." Chuck replied.
"I think it's weird already having a big, grey box in the middle of the sea anyways. Especially that expresses antidote." Fly smartly added.
"Look I don't know why it's grey, let's just keep a look out for it." Chuck sighed with slight annoyance.
Fly, Honey and Stella shrugged, following Chucks lead. Fly snapped his head around when he heard a sound.
"What the heck was that?" He jumped.
"Huh?" Honey asks in confusion. "What was what?"
Fly stood still, scanning the area for any sign of movement. He turned around, realising no one was there until a dolphin popped up in front of them all slightly scaring them.
"Hello!" It said pleasantly. "I don't think I've seen you guys around here before."
"Yeah, we're not from around here. But I'm confused, you're a mammal and we're fish so how can you understand us?" Chuck answered.
"Intelligent fish can speak, which we dolphins can understand but humans can't understand us. Sea life have the ability to understand us, so I guess that's your answer." The dolphin explained. "So, why're you all out here? Isn't there a 'deadly virus' Reggie brain washes you with?"
They all looked at each other in confusion.
"You know Reggie?" Fly questioned.
"Yeah, can't stand him though. He's the same as Joe really. Both evil and manipulative leeches."
"Well... Considering you're not on their side, could you help us? We're looking a big grey box." Honey politely asked.
"Ahhh the one that has suddenly stopped leaking antidote I presume. I could do, but why do you want to go there?"
"Look, we're not from around here. We're not even fish, we're humans. The Professor was the one who originally made a potion and antidote to become fish. He didn't realise how many fish got hold of the antidote, so he fitted a generator to turn intelligent fish back to normal. But Joe destroyed the other generator which has caused the other to deactivate. We're here to reactivate it then we can turn back into humans again and the fish can go back to normal. But if we don't get it sorted in a day and a half we will be fish forever." Chuck told the dolphin.
"I'll take you there, these fish need to go back to normal. Can't stand that octopus. Im sorry, I thought you were one of these fish that are trying to find it to destroy it." The dolphin said.
"What's your name?" Stella asked.
"I'm so sorry where are my manners, my name is Shelly." She replied with a smile. "Care to introduce yourselves too?"
"I'm Honey, this is Fly my best friend, this is Chuck his cousin and also my friend and this little angel is Stella who is Fly's little sister." Honey introduced.
"Well it's nice to know your names, I'm sure we'll be great pals whilst you're all down here." Shelly said. "Come on, this way."
Honey smiled, following Shelly as the others caught up with her afterwards.
"Sounds as if you've guys have been down here before. This is the second time you four have been fish isn't it?"
"The three of us were, it's the first time Honey's became a fish." Fly said, pointing to himself, Chuck and Stella.
"I see, so why were you fish in the first place? If you don't mind me asking..."
"Stella here thought the potion was lemonade, Fly accidentally chucked her into the sea thinking it was just an ordinary starfish. We took the potion to find her then once we did we ended up getting into a feud with Joe." Chuck explained.
"Interesting. Wonder if he left because of that."
"Left? What do you mean by that?" Fly interrupted.
"Well he vanished just out of no where three years ago and that's when you said you were fish. Just adds up, that's all." Shelly shrugged.
"Well... he followed us to try and get more potion. He drank too much and became a mutated human, he supposedly died in front of Fly but he was alive this whole time. He's gone now though, he's been turned back into a normal fish." Chuck said.
"Thank goodness, he was irritating." Shelly chuckled. "Just need to get rid of Reggie and all the other fish by putting them back to normal."
As they kept swimming, Shelly noticed how Fly and Honey were very close and how they perhaps liked each other more than 'just friends'. Chuck and Shelly swam in front of them both whilst Fly, Stella and Honey were behind them both.
"Those two are quite close." She smirked, nudging Chuck.
"Yes, Fly likes her a lot. He has for a long time and I think Honey does too." He told her.
"Have you not thought of pushing them to admit it?"
"Fly admitted it to me. Honey hasn't but I can tell. I don't think they'd appreciate it being pushed out of them."
"Well... why don't you encourage them to spend alone time together? Maybe we can try and help them." Shelly suggested.
"That's not a bad idea."
"Later when we set up camp, I know the perfect place for them both."
Chuck and Shelly developed a plan to get them both to spend time alone together. Chuck wanted it to work, he knew how Fly felt about her and they knew they had a bit of time to spare now they met Shelly who knew where the generator was.
They agreed with a plan, now all they had to wait until it was time.
