Darkness.
Honey was in complete darkness, she could here Fly sobbing and Stella, Chuck and Shelly crying. She was there, she could hear them but no matter how hard she tried to speak the words refused to leave her mouth. Her eyes were heavy, as if weights were weighing them down.
Then suddenly, light appeared.
Fly's cries and pleads were nothing but a distant echo, travelling further and further away. She noticed her surroundings had changed, she looked down and noticed that she no longer had fins but feet that were buried in the sand. She was human again.
She looked up to see that she was on the same beach she helped Fly overcome his phobia, then to notice a familiar figure stood in the distance.
Fly.
He stood there with open arms, awaiting her embrace as he smiled. Lust and love took over every emotion and with all her energy, she ran to him with her arms wide open.
But before she felt his touch, darkness took over once again.
"Honey, don't leave me... please don't leave me." Fly pleaded over and over.
The others stood a metre behind him, observing the tragic sight that was happening in front of them. Honey wasn't moving, there was absolutely nothing to indicate that she was waking up.
"I've had the courage to finally tell you how much I love you and just like that you've been taken away from me. This was all my fault, I should've never took you to the professors lab... you would've still been here." Fly cried as he held Honey tightly to him.
"I think you would've been bored if I didn't come to the lab with you." A voice strained.
Fly looked down, to notice that Honey had woken up. She looked up into his glazed eyes as she coughed before smiling at him. He held her tighter in relief, but Honey seethed in pain. The others sighed in relief, the felt at ease that Honey was ok.
"What's wrong?" Fly panicked.
"It's my ribs, I think they're broken." Honey panted in pain.
"One down and four to go!" Reggie laughed, he still thought Honey was dead as she lay in Fly's arms.
"Fly, listen to me. He doesn't know I'm alive, use this situation as a distraction then I will go to the generator." Honey told him.
"Honey you can't!"
"Fly, I'll be fine. Just do it."
Fly nodded hesitantly, before sobbing loudly as Honey pretended to be dead. Chuck, Stella and Shelly did the same after hearing Honeys plan to Fly.
The whole army was laughing at the thought of Reggie killing an innocent fish.
"Now, I think Its best if you all come with me..." Reggie insisted with an evil tone in his voice.
"Yeah, or the same will happen to you all." Spike hinted as he looked as Honey in his arms.
"Can we eat her, boss?" Stripes asked Reggie as Ham liked his lips with hunger.
"She'll be of no use anyways, eat her by all means." Reggie dryly spat as he shooed them away.
The two sharks swam towards Fly holding Honeys body as they growled aggressively. But before they reached her with their mouths open, she smacked the two sharks with her fins before jetting away from Fly. Everyone gasped in shock at the sight of Honeys resurrection, Stripes and Ham became even more angry and swam after her as they growled In excessive rage.
"Impossible!" Reggie exclaimed.
Honey raced away, although she was in agony she was determined to turn the generator on and being normality back for ocean life including herself and the others. Ham and Stripes caught up with her, almost snapping their jaws at her back fins before she jolted away just in time.
The others notice Honey was having trouble getting to the generator so Fly, Chuck, Stella and Shelly split up in two groups to attempt to get to the generator too. Fly and Stella were being tormented and chased by Spike whilst Chuck and Shelly were being tailed by an angry Reggie.
Honey kept going as she panted in pain and struggling for breath, until she had an idea.
"No need to fear, we don't bite." Stripes laughed evilly.
She approached an abandoned anchor, swimming through the ring of it. Stripes insisted he could fit through, until a quarter of his body got through until he was stuck. He fidgeted aggressively as he screamed in frustration as Ham glanced at him before he raced past Stripes who was stuck in the anchor but he didn't think to stop, he was more invested in his main course meal he was chasing.
Fly and Stella were cornered by an underwater cliff by Spike as his head bulb flashed in anger and to intimidate his victims. Stella was terrified, she couldn't help but cling on to Fly for fear life and he held her tightly. Spike laughed at the sight of the two fish who quivered in fear, until Stella let out a loud scream. Her scream bellowed through the waters, the echo shook the rocks that were nearby until they all tumbled down onto Spike within a flash of a second. They quickly swam off to help Chuck and Shelly get away from Reggie, but they were struggling to as he had them entangled in his tentacles and soon enough Reggie caught Fly and Stella in his other two tentacles.
"You stupid fish thought you could out-smart me? Never." Reggie snapped and he shook each and every one of them out of anger.
Honey noticed they were in trouble, Ham was still chasing her but all she could see in front of her was the generator. She swam to the leaver, attempting to pull it down but it was too heavy. She noticed the huge hammerhead swimming towards her as she leaned against the leaver, she moved in time before Ham could reach her. But as he smashed into the leaver knocking him unconscious, he activated the generator as an alarm rang through the sea.
Reggie turned around in fear, he noticed it had been activated. "NO!"
Fly, Chuck, Shelly and Stella escaped his grasp and swam towards Honey. The antidote started to flow out of the generator for them to taste it, Shelly started push them up towards the surface as she swam behind them to make sure they got up safety.
Reggie screeched at the top of his lungs, before the potion took over and turned him back into a normal octopus. Once the intelligence died off, the huge octopus inked and darted off into the depths of the sea.
"Swim faster, quickly!" Shelly pleaded them as she pushed them up closer and closer to the surface.
But before they reached it, Ham bit Shelly and started to attack her.
"No!" Chuck shouted.
"Just go, go now! Go! I'll be fine." Shelly insisted as she fought the shark.
They hesitantly kept swimming, before they reached the surface the antidote took over and they were finally back to their normal selves.
They gasped for air as their heads bobbed over the ripples of the sea, Fly grabbed onto Honey and Stella as he could tell the dresses they wore at the professors presentation was weighing them down. Chuck helped Fly as he held onto Honey and Stella too, guiding them both to the huge rock that stood alone in the middle of the blue ocean. Fly lifted Stella up onto the rock platform first, then Honey and him and Chuck lifted themselves. They all collapsed in exhaustion, their chests rising up and down as they wheezed.
"W-We did it..." Chuck cheered. "We did it!"
Excitement took over and he hugged Fly, Honey and Stella and they laughed happily as Chuck pulled them in for a group hug. Fly grabbed Honey and pulled him into his arms, she wrapped her arms around him tightly.
"I thought I lost you." Fly sighed.
"You'll never lose me." She replied as she pulled her head back to look at him with a smile.
"Told you I'd be fine." Shelly's voice startled them all.
"Shelly!" Stella exclaimed with excitement, kneeling over the edge to the dolphin stroking her head softly.
The others raced over to Shelly as the knelt next to Stella, hugging Shelly and petting her head softly.
"I don't understand, how can we still understand you?" Fly asked.
"I don't know, maybe the ocean will just always be apart of you all." Shelly said.
That comment tugged at their hearts, Shelly was right. The ocean was always going to be a big part of their lives, whether it was traumatic or not but it was an experience they will never forget and to experience life from a different perspective. A fishy perspective.
"So, how about we get you guys home?" Shelly told them.
"How're we even going to get home? We're in the middle of nowhere- wait what do you mean we?" Chuck asked.
Shelly answered with a whistle, three dolphins appeared as they playfully squirted water at the four of them. "Come on you four."
Fly passed Stella to Shelly, gripping onto her fin tightly. Him and Honey dropped back into the sea, Fly guided Honey to one of the dolphins before him and Chuck swam to the two remaining dolphins.
"You guys ready?" Shelly asked.
"Yes." They all replied in sync.
Shelly proceeded to lead the way for the other dolphins to take her friends back home.
