A week went by after Fly and the others returned home from the sea. The day after their return, their parents took them all to the hospital to get checked over for any injuries they may have experienced in the ocean or their transformation but of course they couldn't tell doctors the real story of what actually happened. The only person who was slightly injured was Honey, her ribs were severely bruised but doctors only told her to take pain killers and rest and assured her that the pain will pass in a few days. Apart from their hospital visits, they all still hung around together until Chuck returned home with his mother Anna. Honey recovered in 4 days and whilst recovering, Fly never left her side to make sure she was ok, and when she was finally better they never wasted a minute of their days together until the day of prom.

Honey say on the edge of her bed with her head in her hands after snoozing her alarm, it was 8:00am and all she could think about was prom. She had nothing to wear and she was scared about going public with Fly in case he got picked on for being with the 'strange' girl. But she wasn't strange at all, she was beautifully unique. She snapped out of her thoughts and shot to her feet, scurrying around her room to find a pair of joggers and a t shirt before throwing the items of clothing on and taming her wild hair with a hair brush. She hurried down the stairs and through the hallway for her to find her mother standing there making Honey jump slightly.

"Where do you think you're going in a rush, Missy?" Her mother asked teasingly with an eyebrow raised.

Honey looked down to her toes as she played with the zip of her hoodie. "I, um... need to go shopping."

"At this time?" Her mother questioned.

"It's prom today and Fly invited me last minute. I haven't got a dress." Honey replied softly.

Honeys mother tutted. "Why didn't you tell me yesterday, darling? Come on, I'll come with you."

Honey smiled dimly, before following her mother outside into the car.

The sunset brightened up Fly's room as he attempted to do his tie. Becoming slightly frustrated, he threw his tie onto the bed and plopped himself in the edge of his bed. His hand wiped his face removing the thin layer of sweat forming on his forehead. He was so nervous to see Honey dressed up again, especially as she was now his girlfriend. She always looked beautiful to him, but how graceful she can look in a dress really took his breath away.

"Need a hand?" Lisa announced, making Fly lift his head from his hands.

He smiled at his mother, getting up to pass the tie to her and stand still.

"I remember I used to have to do this for you when you were 7, for your fishing presentation and 9 years later I'm still having to do it." She smiled as she did his tie.

Fly smiled back and laughed slightly. Lisa finished his tie and she brought him in for a tight hug.

"My little boy is not so little anymore..."

"I'll always be your boy, Mom. No matter how old I am." He said as he hugged her back.

Lisa pulled away to hold Flys cheek. "Honey is a good girl, reminds me of how me and your Dad were at that age. We met when we were 16 too."

"Really? What do you mean were similar to you and Dad?"

"Your father looked at me the way you look at Honey, and after 20 years he still looks at me the same way. Maybe in 20 years you will look at Honey the same way too."

Fly smiled before noticing the bedroom door creaked open to reveal Bill standing proudly.

"Certainly get your looks from me." Bill joked.

Fly and Lisa rolled their eyes jokingly before laughing.

"If you say so, dear." Lisa said to Bill as she patted his shoulder.

"Just came to say that Honey is outside. But no peaking out the windows, it's a surprise." Bill instructed.

Fly gulped nervously before smiling, his cheeks became hotter by the minute. He followed his parents and Stella down stairs and he stood in front of the front door of his house, nervous to open it.

"Go on son, can't keep the little lady waiting." Bill smiled.

Fly smiled back before opening the door slowly, to reveal Honey. Fly was amazed by her beauty and how elegant she looked.

Honey stood shyly on Flys porch, her hair crimped with beach waves as her light blue mermaid style dress trailed slightly behind her.

"Hello Fly." She smiled nervously.

Fly replied with a soft smile before kissing her cheek.

"Oh Honey you look beautiful!" Lisa cooed as she happily clasped her hands together.

"Thank you Lisa." Honey replied.

"Let's take a few photos of you both." Bill held his Polaroid camera up and started to take photos of the young couple.

After a few photographs, Bill took Fly and Honey to their prom. As they both got out the car and Bill drove away, Fly took Honeys hand and squeezed it to give her reassurance. He could tell she was nervous as she stared at the school entrance as she saw everyone else enter.

"Are you ok?" He asked her with a hint of concern.

"Yeah... it's just I don't think I'll miss this place, the only good memories I had here were with you." She sighed.

"Then let's make our last memory here tonight special." He said.

Honey linked arms with Fly before they entered the school, strolling towards the huge sports hall that held the school prom. As they entered, they could see everyone dancing happily with their friends. But some stopped as soon as they saw Honey and Fly linking arms, admiring how beautiful Honey looked. She was always beautiful, and Fly had a feeling most girls didn't like Honey because of that specific reason and she didn't care to fit in but be her true self and that triggered jealousy in some people. Flys friends came rushing over to the pair who stood awkwardly by the hall entrance.

"Hey pal- wow..." Cameron said to Fly before noticing Honey stood next to him.

"Are you guys... together?" Xander asked the pair of them.

"We are..." Fly nodded proudly.

"Finally, took you both long enough. I'm happy for you both." James said with a smile.

"Thank you..." Honey replied nervously with a small smile.

Flys friends insisted that they both sat on their table, so they did. Honey started to open up and was less shy throughout the night. She never really spoke to Flys friends before, she thought they all disliked her too. Fly went up to get a drink whilst Honey sat and spoke to his friends.

"I thought you guys didn't like me..." Honey admitted to the three boys.

"Why did you think that?" Cameron replied.

"Because not many people do here, especially Brianna." She told him and the others.

"Brianna just likes the think she's better than everyone else and so do many other girls here. It's like a competition who's the most popular but the thing about you is you never cared. We never disliked you, we never knew you properly to have that impression on you. We actually did like the sound of you as Fly constantly talked about you." James interrupted.

"Really? Fly talked about me?" Honey was took by surprise.

"Of course, he always did ever since you moved here. I won't lie, I did call you beautiful the one time and may of said something a bit too far which made Fly angry so he punched me." Cameron slightly laughed.

"So that's why he hit you?" Honey rolled her eyes playfully.

"Yeah." Cameron scoffed playfully. "But I never said anything like that again, I got the impression Fly was a bit jealous which was understandable I'd be the same if someone spoke about a girl I was in love with."

"He's always been in love with you." Xander smiled.

"Likewise. I just don't see how we never saw it." Honey replied.

"I think sometimes you don't until you're in a situation where you actually open your eyes." James said to Honey before sipping his drink.

Honey smiled, thinking about them as fish. "I suppose you're right."

"He went through a really rough time before you moved, after summer when we were 13 he was quite and withdrawn he just refused to speak to anyone and that's not like him at all we were so worried. Did you know anything about that?" Cameron asked.

"I do, but Fly trusted me not to say anything. He's a lot better now though. He just went through a rough time." Honey assured.

"As long as he has you to open up to and talk to we're grateful, I can tell he's much better now. Whatever it was, it must've been really bad." Xander was interrupted by Brianna and 2 other girls.

"Why're you guys with this absolute freak?" Brianna asked the boys. "Where did you get your dress from Honey? The thrift store?" Before laughing.

Honey stood up from her seat and looked Brianna dead in the eyes. "Your attitude is uglier than anything, you should fix it."

Brianna was taken back at first, this was the first time Honey had said anything back to her.

"Aw, you get with Fly and suddenly have a confidence boost. Cute." Brianna scoffed.

"I actually think she's really pretty." Brianna's friend, Chloe, said confidently.

"Shut up." Brianna gritted towards her, making Chloe step back slightly scared.

"Here, let me fix your ego a bit." Honey said wittily, before pouring her drink over Brianna's head.

Brianna gasped in shock as Honey smiled devilishly before Brianna stormed off.

All the boys laughed and clapped at Honey. Fly stood as he finished witnessing the whole confrontation and laughed proudly before strolling over to high five her.

"Can I sit with you?" Chloe interrupted.

"Sure, sit next to me." Honey pulled a chair for Chloe to sit next to her.

"I'm sorry I never stuck up for you, I always wanted to be your friend but I was scared Brianna would do something bad to me."

"Don't apologise Chloe, nothing stopping us from being friends now." Honey smiled.

As the night went on, Honey, Fly and the others danced and laughed the night away until it came to an end.

Everyone left the school at 12am, Chloe gave Honey her number to keep in touch and everyone else bid Fly and Honey goodbye as they left.

"Let's go somewhere." Fly whispered in Honeys ear.

Fly grabbed her hand and they started running further and further away from their school.

"Where are we going?" Honey laughed.

"You'll see!" Fly shouted with enthusiasm.

They reached the beach, the same beach Honey helped Fly tackle his fears and where they washed up from being fish. Fly threw his shoes into the sand and Honey did the same, before they both ran to the sea hand in hand. They dipped their feet into the sea as they paddled playfully. Fly picked Honey up and spun around as they laughed in the moonlight, before kissing her softly.

"I love you." Fly said softly, as he looked into her ocean eyes.

"I love you too, always." She replied.

"You're my safe place." Fly told her, as he brushed his fingers through her wavy hair that fluttered in the breeze.

Fly and Honey danced on the beach as the moon reflected on the couple as dolphins splashed and played in the sea.

This was the start of something beautiful for them both and they already had so many memories to reminisce on in years to come and many more to create with one another.

Honey was his ocean love, forever.
