Hello friends, today we are going inside the mind of Shou Tucker. Here we are covering Shou Tucker of 2009 Anime Brotherhood or Manga. This will be another chapter for Shou Tucker of 2003 because he is even darker than this one.

First of all who he was?

Shou Tucker, Sewing-Life Alchemist was a middle-aged man with spectacles. He was soft-spoken who prefers the company of himself only so spent the most time at work. He was researching bio-alchemy but was not very successful.

It sounded like a normal man. So why is he the most hated character of the series, even more than any of the homunculus? It is because he performs experiments with her daughter, Nina but what was he thinking at that time? Why did he do so? What motivated him to go to such lengths?

Let's find out

2 years before the main storyline. Shou Tucker uses to live with her wife and little daughter in poverty. He was busy with his research work which he likes a lot while his wife always complains about money because his research was not giving enough. He considers for the post of state alchemist but it was not easy for him. He studies a lot of it but then also got nothing.

That was the time when he found out that he could create a talking chimera by using a human. Initially, he was scared to do it but all those complaints from his wife were annoying him and one day he decided to do it. He creates a talking Chimera by using his wife.

If you don't know then Chimera is a combination of two or more species into one.

After becoming a Chimera now she hates him. She was feeling the pain of being an experimental species. She said just one line - "I want to die", and after some days she did die.

Because of her, Shou Tucker got his state certification. He told everyone including her daughter, Nina that his wife left them because of poverty. After that, he begins getting money from the military. Their life has become good. He uses to take care of his young daughter but was mostly busy researching because he wants to create another talking chimera but this time without using humans.

He researches for 2 years to find a way to create another chimera but was unsuccessful. Then he met Ed and Al. Ed is also a state alchemist. He got his certification because he attempted human transmutation at the age of 12. After listing his story. Shou could easily compare his story with this young boy. Therefore he let him take a look at his research.

While Ed and Al were doing their research and also spending some time with Nina, Shou was again busy on his path because the assessment day was coming. On that day he has to show something to the military or his certification will be canceled. He could hear those children playing but he was stuck there. He just doesn't want to return to that life.

Nina also believes in her father. According to her, he will surely do it in time. Listening to this from his little girl, he decided to do it again.

He creates another Chimera using a human again, this time with her daughter. He never wants to get rid of her daughter, he just wants to save his license. But Ed finds out about it and confronted him. Shou asked the reason for his anger because he has also done the same thing. Just like Tucker, Ed has experimented with human life, whose result is his and his brother's bodies.

Later on, he talked to Chimera Nina because he still believes it is her daughter and he still wants to take care of her, he still wants to keep her with him. He talked about how no one understands him but she does. He said to Nina that he did this because it is important for the advancement of humankind.

But before going on trial a mysterious man appeared and killed both Shou and Chimera Nina.

Now, let's think, why he did it. Shou Tucker's actions could be because of 3 reasons.

First, He becomes obsessed with alchemy so much that he couldn't think of anything else but only alchemy. We all have heard about some great scientists who did become obsessed with science. Could he be also one of such cases?

Second, he was lacking confidence in himself that he will ever be able to create a real Chimera. He also doesn't want to lose everything again and return back to poverty. So he was not left with any other choice.

Third, It was for the advancement of humankind as he said to Nina.

Now, this is up to you to decide.
