Chapter 18

Three Months Later

Things around the Daniels household had picked up and the two were constantly on the go. But the two wouldn't have it any other way. Kelsey and Drew were excited to be welcoming their daughter into the world in a few weeks. They finally had the nursery done in teal and white as Kesley wasn't a fan of pink at all. The two thought they had found a name a few weeks before but Kelsey was still on the fence about it and Drew kept rattling off names and she kept shooting them down.

Kelsey was still sleeping soundly when Drew got up he couldn't sleep anymore and decided to go down and get a work out in and was about done with his work out when the doorbell rang. After he walked up to answer it but saw no one there and looked out the window and saw flowers and picked them up and set them on the island. Drew looked at the card and sighed when it was signed with just the letters KD. It was about the fourth or fifth delivery with those initials. Drew just shook his head and started to fix breakfast and finally had the omelet that Kelsey had been craving finally fixed and put it on a tray with some fruit and some chocolate milk. After making sure the stove was turned off he walked up and smiled at his wife who was still sleeping good. Drew placed the tray on the dresser and sat down by her and kissed her forehead.

"Hey sweetheart I have breakfast ready."

"Hmm" Kelsey said as she rolled to her back.

"I have breakfast honey you feel okay?" Drew asked as he rubbed her stomach and helped her sit up.

"Yeah just didn't sleep good she was kicking me all night long" Kelsey told him as she eased up out of bed and stretched as she did her water broke. "Um"

"Let's go babe." Drew said as he grabbed a towel and threw it on the floor to soak up the water. Kelsey changed quickly with Drew's help and soon they were on the way to the hospital.

Kelsey was finally settled into her room which was one of the newest birthing suites. So far the nurse was good and had the IV started after she helped Kelsey change into a gown and told the couple that the doctor would be in soon. Kelsey was breathing through a contraction as Drew was rubbing her back.

"You are doing great honey." Drew said quietly.

Kelsey kissed the back of his hand as she was holding his hand. "I hope that Casey is on and that I can still have a section."

Before Drew could even answer Kelsey Casey walked in. "Sorry it has taken me so long to get in here. What happened?"

"Drew made me breakfast in bed and I stood up to use the bathroom and stretched and my water broke. Am I able to still have a section?" Kelsey asked

"Yes you still have to have a section. Things will be okay and Drew will be right there by your head. Dr Gavin is ready to do your spinal if you are ready to get started." Casey told her.

It was nearly an hour later that Drew and Kelsey were hearing the cries of their newborn daughter. Drew walked over to see his daughter for the first time and the nurse was cleaning her up and took Drew's hand and placed it on her tiny chest.

"Shh it's okay darling daddy is right here." Drew said quietly. The baby looked around and cried again while the nurse put a diaper on her and wrapped her up and handed her to Drew.

Drew held her close and sat down by Kelsey's and kissed her forehead. "I love you both so much. She is perfect Kelsey."

Kelsey was in tears as she looked at her daughter and smiled at her and then up at Drew. "Kaitlyn Alexa Daniels" Drew kissed her forehead and dropped on Kaitlyn's forehead.

Casey couldn't help but smile at the new parents and told Kelsey that she was getting ready to close and then her spinal, would be taken out and she was getting strong pain medication and would need to rest and could bond with the baby later.

It was nearly three hours later after Kaitlyn was born that Kelsey was starting to wake up. Drew was nearly asleep in the chair with the baby on his chest doing skin to skin bonding and had a hand on the baby's back. Kelsey hit the nurses button and Tara, her nurse walked in quietly and smiled at the new mom. It wasn't long and Casey quickly checked Kelsey over and looked at her stitches that were doing great and helped her change and all the commotion barely woke up Drew.

"Welcome back babe how do you feel?" Drew asked

"Tender to no end right now. How is Kaitlyn?" Kelsey asked as Drew stood up and laid the baby in her tiny crib and leaned down and kissed his wife sweetly.

"She is perfect. She weighs in at 6.9 pounds and 18 inches long." Drew said

"Can I hold our daughter and do skin on skin?" Kelsey asked. Drew kissed her sweetly "Can we pull down the king size bed?"

"Sure babe here you sit in the chair and bond with our sweet little girl I will get the nurse and we can get the bed down." Drew told her.

It was a few minutes later that Kelsey was finally settled in the king size bed doing skin on skin bonding with Kaitlyn. Drew draped a heated blanket over the two and sat down next to his wife and daughter and stripped off his shirt so they could bond with their little one.

"Have you told family yet?" Kelsey asked quietly

"Not yet babe I thought we could have a few more hours with her before we have a stream of visitors and just bond with her." Drew told her. Kelsey laid her head on his shoulder and he brushed a kiss across her forehead.

The three bonded like this till Kelsey couldn't keep her eyes open anymore. She was in a fair amount of pain and after getting something else to help she told Drew he could text the family, and tell them that she was in the hospital and not feeling the best and would text when they knew more.

Randy saw the text message from Drew and smiled at Kim who was nearly asleep on the couch she wasn't feeling the best and was resting. She had been on the go so much lately with Brooklyn and was finally taking some time to slow down. Brooklyn was growing like a little weed and was going to be starting preschool in the fall as she was just turning three and she was very excited about school. Randy wanted to be home more to watch his daughter grow up and always be there for Kim. He felt like he was missing too much while being on the road so much. Randy had a conference call with Vince to see what he would say about taking some time off to let his body heal and just be home.

"Babe who was it?" Kim asked as she sat up with his help.

"It was Drew Kelsey in the hospital not feeling the best and will text us if they induce labor." Randy told her and brought her into his lap and held her close.

Kim just snuggled into him and laid her head on his shoulder. "I bet the baby will be here tonight."

"What makes you say that babe?" Randy asked as he rubbed her back.

"Just a feeling." Kim said as she kissed his jawline. Little did they know the baby was already here.

The next day came quick and Kelsey was holding Kaitlyn close and feeding her a bottle and shifted her to her shoulder to burp her. Drew was walking back into the room with breakfast and kissed Kelsey on her forehead and gently picked up his daughter and held her close so Kelsey could eat.

"Babe can we change her middle name from Alexa to Grace or Elaine?" Kinley asked as she took a drink of her Sprite.

"Sure babe. Kaitlyn Grace has a nice ring to it. How are you feeling?" Drew asked

"Tender to no end but good. After I am done eating if I can I want to take a shower while she is in the nursery. Then we can call family and have them come up."

Drew just smiled at his and nodded his head in agreement. It wasn't long after Kelsey was cleaned up that she was rocking her daughter when her parents and Drew's parents showed up. Both in awe of their granddaughter. Kaitlyn had a string of visitors for the day and soon it was out that the baby was here and her phone as blowing up with a ton of text messages from everyone in the WWE that she was still close with.
