(Sakura and Lee and Gai and Kakashi)A/n : they are still genins In this Drabble. Maybe a bit OOC? Or not.

She knew Kakashi-sensei didn't want a genin team In the first place but that didn't mean he had to ditch her and Lee in front of a dango stand while he and Gai-sensei went to take care of 'something'. Yeah right, they're probably having another rivalry match.

The energetic encouragements from Lee didn't help her nervous mind.

"I am sure they will return soon Sakura-Chan!"

"That's not the point Lee, they told us we were here to find Information." She huffed, crossing her arms.

She wasn't going to admit that being In a brand new strange village made her a tad bit scared. No way. She was a shinobi!! Maybe she had become too comfortable under Kakashi-sensei's protective shadow.

If the senseis left them on their own then that means they trust them to be safe on their own.

She clapped her hands, snapping Lee out of his flow of praises for Gai-sensei.

"Let's go look around Lee!"

"Are you sure we shouldn't wait for Gai-sensei and Kakashi-sensei and then continue our mission Sakura-Chan?" One of his bushy eyebrows raised in question.

"We don't even know what to look for." She placed her hands on her hips. Lee frowned.

"We're not allowed to know what kind of information we're supposed to find. Our only duty is to guard It."

She smiled mischievously. "That means, until our Senseis return we are free to explore and gather knowledge about the village right?"

Lee smiled his full teeth smile "Yosh! Where shall we go?"

They spent most of their afternoon looking at foods and souvenirs rather than gathering intel but they did hear that one of the restaurants near them hosted many shinobi. Lee had the brilliant idea of eating there. Who knows, maybe they'll overhear something, since people would most likely pay less attention to 'baby ninjas' as they liked to call them. Though the restaurant itself seemed quiet and there were hardly anyone passing by. She had a bad feeling. But before they could walk in-

"Now, now, where is my adorable pup and her friend Intending to go huh?" Sakura felt herself being lifted up by the back of her clothes— Sensei this is embarrassing!! Looking at Lee, she found that he was also held by a hand in his shoulder.

"Ah Kakashi, it looks like our students have been exploring!! How wonderful Indeed!" The loud happy voice of Gai-sensei clashed with the look he exchanged with her sensei.

She shared a curious look with Lee. Something must've happened and they weren't planning on telling them.

Testing her theory, she took a step towards the restaurant. Proving her corrrect, Kakashi-sensei dropped his palm on top of her head.

"Maa, we've finished the mission where are you going?" His eye smile dared her to take another step forwards.

Lee, hearing that, questioned how come they were already finished when they haven't done anything.

"Well that's because the mission was easier than we thought," Gai-sensei moved Lee so they were face to face "now Lee! What about a race? Last one to Konoha has to do a hundred laps around the village!!" Lee not surprisingly took the challenge excitedly. They both left without a second thought.

Kakashi-sensei turned to her.

"No Sensei, I'm not going to run nonstop to the village." He had the audacity to chuckle and pat her head.

He started following the path Lee and Gai-sensei ran off to, opening the familiar orange book. She threw one last curious glance at the secluded restaurant and ran to her Sensei's side. At least she felt safer now.

Although… there was something bothering Sakura about her sensei..

"Nee Sensei why do you smell of blood?"
