(Team 7 genin and Kakashi)A/n : Genin team seven! Papa Kakashi uwu. Beware of fluff! Slight angst? Sort of?
Kakashi paused while packing the last of their rations to check on his brats. He told them to stay close. Only Sasuke seemed to pay attention out of the three. The raven-haired teen stood with his hands in his pockets, staring at a big field of dandelions where his teammates appeared to have wandered off.
They were easily identified by their two blobs of brightly coloured hair. Sakura had begun yelling in response to the unruly sight of Naruto ramming his way through the flowers. The blonde didn't seem to notice her as he began picking dandelions left and right.
Kakashi's eyes found their way back to the remaining brat at his side.
"Not following them eh?"
"Tch, it's a waste of time."
As he watched Sasuke's longing gaze at Sakura and Naruto's running forms, Kakashi knew he was lying.
It was a pitiful sight to see, but he remembered howheused to feel that way too. Wanting to be a part of something but held back by the fear of losing everything (again).
He couldn't bear the thought of his brat becoming anything like him, so he dragged Sasuke towards the others. Although it appeared that it was unnecessary given that his two other brats were on their way. With Sakura yanking on Naruto's ear.
"But Sakura-chaaann you told me they could make our wishes come true dattebayo!!" Naruto rubbed his ear after Sakura had released her hold.
"I didn't mean you could pick all of them! I meant one!Onewas enough!"
"But I had so many wishes! I wished to be the best Hokage ever! I wished for ramen, I wished for a date with Sakura-chan-" He yelped as Sakura pinched his arm.
"Don't tell us your wishes or else it won't come true dummy!"
"EhhhHhh?"
Kakashi shook his head, wondering what he'd done to earn such troublesome but precious brats.
Stopping Naruto's rising panic of his wishes not being granted, Kakashi approached Sakura and knelt down.
"What have you got there, Sakura?" He tried to peer at the hand she kept behind her back.
Sakura jumped ecstatically, probably just remembering that she even had something in her hand.
"I and Naruto had already made our wishes so we brought dandelions back for Sasuke and you Sensei!!"
The pink-haired girl approached Sasuke slowly, holding out one flower in front of her. Her cheeks were tinged with pink.
Kakashi had picked up on his difficult-to-express-emotions student's subtle cues. He noticed how Sasuke's eyes widened slightly in surprise, and how he put up his walls by quickly turning his face away from the girl.
Sakura became gloomy, misinterpreting it as a sign of rejection. Naruto, on the other hand, appeared irritated. Taking the flower gently from Sakura's grasp, he pushed it to Sasuke's chest. Making him take it.
"Sakura Chan and Me already wished our wishes now it's your turn. It won't work if we all don't wish for something!! It's a rule!"
"There's no such rule idiot." He grumbled.
Naruto whined, "Argh just do it already!"
Sasuke closed his eyes with a scowl on his face. He blew on the delicate flower after a few seconds.
"See that wasn't so hard was it?" Naruto teased earning him a punch on the face.
Kakashi was so preoccupied with the brawl that he didn't notice his female student trying to get his attention until she stomped up in front of his face. He asked her quietly, tilting his head, what was wrong.
She motioned for Kakashi to open his palms, which he did and placed another dandelion in them.
Smiling brightly she said, "Like Naruto said weallhave to make a wish Sensei!"
He stood up from where he was kneeling on the ground and swept his gaze over the brats- kids.
With the flower in his hand, he wished for as much time as he could have with his precious kids.
