(Kakashi & Sakura)
A/n : A little father-daughter Drabble. I have a head cannon after Sasuke and Naruto left the village Sakura would cling to Kakashi as if her life was on the line. At least for the first few weeks? Sakura in the chapter would probably be small genin Sakura and not shippuden Sakura.
She was aware that she should be fine with this. It was perfectly normal. It was all right. But she couldn't stop her vision from blurring as her sensei/father-figure prepared to leave the gates. She told herself over and over that he would return. It was only a mission. He'd be right back. But she'd remember Sasuke's back as he fled and went rogue. Then Naruto's last smile at her before he too went away.
And she can't help but panic at the thought of her sensei leaving too.
She's the student of the Godaime dammit!! She's a lot tougher than this. She turned away before a tear could fall.
Kakashi sighed as he noticed his pink-haired former student's trembling form. He was well aware that Sakura would be upset if he left the village. She'd have a tougher time if she knew about his Anbu missions. That's why he didn't tell her. Knowing Sakura wouldn't stop crying anytime soon, he considered whether it would be better if he had left sooner so she wouldn't have to watch him leave.
Though his thought to leave sooner slowly waned, he instead walked towards her. Sakura must have sensed him as he saw her back stiffen.
"J-Just go sensei I-I'll be okay." Her shaky words weren't very reassuring.
He put his hand on top of her head. Sakura's resolve to not cry broke the moment he did, and she buried her face in his middle. Her hands were clinging to his sides.
Sakura didn't mean to act childish and cry. Especially not in front of her Sensei. She wanted to be a student he'd be proud of. But if he was going to leave like the others- If he was leaving then there was always a chance he might not come back. She fully expected to be pushed back and met with her sensei's familiar eye-smile, but instead, Kakashi sensei raised his other hand, which was not on her head, to gently rub her back. This caused Sakura to cry even more.
Baka Kaka-Sensei!
He kneeled in front of her after a few minutes, when her sobs had finally stopped.
"It'll be fine. I'll be right back. 'Kay? Don't you trust your good old sensei Sakura-Chan?" he asked as she sniffled. "I'm not going to leave you all alone."
Her puffy eyes met his, and she noticed his usual smile was missing. When Sensei brought their foreheads together, she noticed that his lone eye looked pained.
He stood up, and Sakura wiped away any tears that had remained on her face.
She sent one last hopeful gaze at him. "Promise?"
"I Promise."
A/n : Hoped you liked it!!
