(Team 7 & Ino )
A/n : Sasuke never left! At the beginning sakura and ino are 12/13 ish.
"Thank you very much and I'm truly sorry." She bowed one more time before watching the boy leave with a pool of guilt in her chest.
She had just finished sparring (more like squabbling) with Ino and they had agreed to get something to eat before separating to their own homes. Somewhere along the way, they were stopped by a blushing boy who held an interest in Sakura. He was carrying a bouquet of beautiful flowers...
Sadly sakura had turned him away much to the confusion of her blonde best friend.
"Why did you refuse him forehead??"
"It's just- it doesn't feel fair to accept the flowers and not the feelings. Better to refuse them both." She muttered softly. Forgetting about the silly nickname she called her by.
"Besides, I think flowers are more suited gifts between people with- Uhh-" She broke off not finding the word she was looking for.
"Bonds?" Ino supplied. She nodded.
"Exactly! And I don't have those kinds of bonds with any boy! Well, except maybe Otou-san, but he's family."
"Not even with Sasuke?" She teased.
Sakura drooped "N-No"
Ino just shook her head fondly and ushered them both inside to eat.
Five years later...
From a distance, she spotted Sakura mingling and conversing with a group of people. Probably discussing the discovery of a new medicine or something. When she noticed three figures approaching the pink-haired girl, her interest was piqued.
Ino watched as Sakura didn't even flinch and only laughed heartily when Naruto suddenly placed (more like dropped) a flower bouquet on her hands. Dispersing the crowd of people she was talking with. Or how easily she embraced her (former) sensei after he placed a flower crown atop her head. And how her face turned almost as pink as her hair when a simple flower was slipped behind her left ear by a certain black-haired Uchiha boy.
"No bonds with boys eh?" She chuckled.
A/n : I didn't specify the flowers that were given cause I'm afraid I don't know much about flowers and meanings ehehe. Comment if you have ideas though!!
