Chapter 1
Regina sits on the edge of the tub bouncing her leg. She glances anxiously at her phone seeing she had 1 minute left on her timer. She sighs biting her bottom lip thinking of the events that led her to this moment. Trust me it was a lot. She starts messing with her hair nervousness feeling coursing through her veins. She jumps snapping herself out of her thoughts and messing with her hair.
She grabs her phone snoozing the timer. She gets up and goes towards the counter where the pregnancy test is lying at. She lets out a breath of air knowing the truth is now or never. She looks down at the test her eyes widening, tears forming in her eyes. She laughs pushing a hand through her hair, a single tear going down her face. Positive.
The test is positive. She pregnant.
She puts the test down grabbing the three other ones seeing the same results in Two lines and the words pregnant. "I'm pregnant!"
She grabs the test putting them in a Ziploc bag closing it up for a remainder that this isn't just some sick dream. She washes her hands blinking away her tears a smile on her face. She finally getting the one thing she always wanted. She going to have her own child. Someone she doesn't have to worry about being taken from her because they aren't her blood. She dries her hands on the towel and stares at herself in the mirror. She lifts her shirt up seeing her flat stomach turning to the side, imagining her belly growing.
She puts a hand to her stomach lightly touching it already falling in love with her miracle. "Hi. I never thought I would be able to carry and experience the moment of someone growing inside me but now..." She trails off her voice starting to break tears appearing back in her eyes. She smiles feeling a single tears roll down her cheek "But now I'm going to experience it and I'm so happy to be carrying you and I swear no one will touch you or do anything to you. That's a promise I will keep". She said her tone getting hard her facial expression turning dark.
She lets her shirt go a smile appearing back on her face. She turns the lights off and walks out her bathroom and bedroom going downstairs to eat. Now that she carrying another life form inside her, she goings to take better care of her body and her life. She gets to the kitchen looking for something to eat seeing a empty kitchen with only alcohol and apples around. She frowns making a mental note to go grocery shopping.
She goes back upstairs grabbing her phone from her room, dialing the number to the Chinese restaurant that was just open in town. She places her order deciding to get enough food for her and her baby. She hangs up huffing a breath of air trying to decide what she should do for 15 minutes.
She hums looking around deciding a hot shower might be good. She goes into her bathroom and turns on the shower taking off her clothes. She steps in feeling the heat smother her stress away feeling relief course through her body.
She grabs her shampoo pouring it on her hand massaging her head. She starts thinking back to when she was putting David under the sleeping curse two weeks ago. She remembers them arguing and her telling him it was bad idea and so many things and him just telling her he has to do this. She remembers her reasons she gave him that weren't her real reasons at all but she was afraid to voice them not wanting to be vulnerable in front of him in the back of Gold's shop.
She feels the water turn cold snapping herself out of her thoughts. She remove's her hands out of her hair washing them under the water getting the excess shampoo off. She grabs her soap and washcloth rushing to wash her body so she can get out the shower.
She steps out five minutes later grabbing the comb on her counter running it through her wet hair. She puts her hair in a top bun wrapping it with a black silk wrap keeping it from wetting her clothes. She walks out the bathroom and goes to her closet putting on some comfortable clothes getting in her bed. She lays down on her bed feeling tired from her pregnancy deciding to get a quick nap in before she has to go and pick up her food.
She relaxes on the bed flashes of her and David making love for the first time going through her head. She opens her eyes memories of him kissing her body and him holding her close before laying her on bed telling her over and over that he wasn't going anywhere playing in her head. She puts a hand to her belly making circles deep in thought. She doesn't know when they conceived her baby it could of been then or been there other imitate times they been together but all she knows is that this baby is a miracle.
"I want to tell your daddy about you because he...maybe before SHE had came back I could tell him with no hesitation but now...I don't want to lose you and I know he going to tell her and I can't have another person try and take you from me." She whispers rubbing her belly.
"Maybe I should just leave town but what about henry? I can't leave him no matter what. He deserves to know about you and deserve to know about him". Regina shakes her head getting rid of those thoughts. She turns in her bed cuddling up against her pillow closing her eyes.
She hopes her nap help give her a few minutes of peace from her negative thoughts. Hopes.
