A week after Pravus and the Awgwas were defeated, the Council of Immortals gathered together for a meeting. Tingler stated everyone's names as they arrived. His voice swelled with pride when he announced the newest member. "Lady Nina Alvar!"
As was tradition, Nina was dressed in robes and finery. She wore a long brown and blue dress and her snowflake necklace.
When she came up to Tingler, she briefly held his hand and smiled, and the Sound Imp beamed at her. Then, Nina took her seat at the table.
The Great Ak stood up when everyone was seated. "Welcome. It has been millenia since we have inducted a new member to our Council, but after these recent events, the decision to allow Nina Alvar on the Council was both unquestionable and unanimous. Thank you for agreeing to join us. Do you have anything you wish to say?"
Nina nodded and stood up while the Great Ak sat. "Fellow members of the Council of Immortals, I am honored to be here among so many of the most esteemed beings of the Earth. I promise I will perform my duties and do everything I can to assist, protect, and defend those on this planet and keep the balance of Nature in check. Thank you for this privilege, and I hope I will make you all proud."
Everyone applauded, and the Commander of the Wind Demons gave Nina a respectful nod. In return, she gave him a small smile, then it grew broader as she looked around. Her decision to join the Council was one she had given a lot of thought to, and now, there was no doubt in her mind that her decision was the right one.
