On December 23 of that year, many beings gathered together outside in a clear spot behind Santa and Mrs. Claus's house. The air was cold, but the sun was shining, brightly, and not a cloud was in the sky. A thin layer of snow covered the ground, glistening under the sun.
Rows of wooden chairs were arranged neatly, separating into two groups by an aisle, and bouquets of red roses, white gardenias, and lilies surrounded them. The chairs faced a gigantic arch made of ice, which had elaborate carvings in it.
Today was Snow Miser and Nina's wedding day. All the guests were seated. Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, Richard, Marilyn, Mother Nature, and Winter Warlock were all in the front row. A chair was left empty, and a card was placed on it that stated, "In Memory of John Alvar," along with a rose. Ignatius Thistlewhite, Tingler, most of Snow Miser's siblings, the Council of Immortals, Jingle, Jangle, the rest of the elves, and even Dr. Bobbin were among the guests. Everyone was dressed in their best clothes.
Snow Miser stood under the arch, dressed in a dark blue tuxedo, brown vest and dress shirt, and white tie. Heat Miser and Melvin stood on each side of him, wearing matching outfits. Father Time, who was officiating the ceremony, was in the middle. Everyone waited.
Soft music began playing, and Nina stood at the beginning of the aisle. As everyone stood up and faced her, Snow Miser's eyes widened.
Nina was dressed in a floor-length, white silk wedding dress with a short train. It had a V-neck and slightly puffy long sleeves made of lace. She wore a veil, and her brown hair was in an updo. Both the dress and the veil had light blue sparkles on them.
There was a brief moment of silence. Snow Miser and Nina stared at each other, amazed, forgetting anyone else was there with them until the music resumed. Then, Nina walked down the aisle, holding a bouquet. When she reached the end, she handed her bouquet to Melvin and held Snow Miser's hands. Snow Miser kissed her cheek and whispered, "You look breathtaking, Nina."
When the guests sat down and the music stopped, Father Time spoke. "Friends, we are gathered here to witness the marriage of Snow Miser and Nina Alvar. At this time, they would like to recite the vows they have written for each other."
Snow Miser spoke first. "Nina, I am the luckiest man in the entire universe because you are in my life. You are my partner, my lover, and my best friend." He wiped his eyes and took a moment to compose himself before continuing. "In the time we've known each other, we've become closer than I've ever been to anyone else. It hasn't always been an easy road, but I want to spend eternity continuing to travel on it with you."
Nina squeezed his hands and said her own vows. "Snow Miser, you are an incredible being, and my life has changed so much for the better since I met you. You are my biggest supporter, my rock, and my everything. The journey to this moment in our life has been worth every struggle and hardship, and I can't wait to discover what lies ahead with you."
"The rings, please," Father Time said.
Heat Miser held out two silver rings to Snow Miser, who gave his to Nina. They put the rings on each other's ring fingers, then Father Time asked Snow Miser, "Snow Miser, do you take Nina to be your lawfully wedded wife, through good times and bad, to love and to cherish for all eternity?"
"I do," Snow answered, confidently.
Father Time asked Nina, "Nina, do you take Snow Miser to be your lawfully wedded husband, through good times and bad, to love and to cherish for all eternity?"
She smiled, softly. "I do."
"Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Snow Miser held Nina close and kissed her on the lips, and she wrapped her arms around him.
When they pulled away, it began snowing. Nina looked at Snow and asked, "Something a little extra for the occasion?"
Snow Miser shook his head, genuinely surprised. "I'm not doing that."
Nina looked up at the sky, tears filling her eyes. "Thank you, Dad," she whispered.
The newly-married couple walked up the aisle, shaking hands with everyone, who congratulated them. Once everyone had interacted with them, it was time to go inside for the reception.
