WELCOME! To my late night story baby! For once i actually had a plan for what to write and all of a sudden i have a lot of time! So welcome to For Her! This story is inspired by FantomPhan33's story Mystery Behind The Mask, a story i absolutely love and urge you to go read! Also a little inspired by hunger games, how weird.
Be nice, I'm the first to admit there is no doubt many mistakes in everything, whether it be spelling, grammar or historical accuracy. I like to write at about one in the morning. Be sure to review!
I don't own Erik, Christine, Raoul or any of the phantom characters or plot lines. I do however own the characters i add in when i want.
There was a final scream, followed by a beautiful baby's cry. Then there was the hustle of the midwife and the doctor. "Screw propriety. He needs to say goodbye to her. Get the children if you can."
The arrival of the doctor signified something was wrong, but they didn't realise he wouldn't be able to do anything.
The midwife ran, still covered in blood, to the room where the family gathered. She looked at the hopeful faces with saddened eyes and destroyed all hope with a single look, followed by a single sentence. "The doctor wishes for you, all of you, but you must be quick". And with that she dashed back to the bedroom, followed by the small family.
The two children were confronted with a red room, covered in the blood of the mother. The poor girl was so very worried, running to her brother for comfort and his safe embrace, while the father gathered their mother into his own arms. "Annie, talk to me." He pleaded with the frail woman, who turned to him slowly with a worn out face. "Gus, you shouldn't be in here. But did you see our beautiful child?" Gustave smiled down at his wife with that familiar warmth she loved.
"She's just like you. We should name her Annabelle too." She nodded and started to fall limp into his arms. "Stay awake Annie, a little longer. Look, Christine and Charles are here." At their names being called, the two children walked over, and with the help of the doctor and midwife were helped onto the bed with their mother and father. Annabelle held the small hand of her son.
"Charlie. Make sure you help your daddy. Look after Annabelle for me. And Christine. And when you find a pretty girl in some years, look after her, okay?" The nine year old boy shook his head.
"Momma please, i need you to stay. Chrissy needs you to stay." He pleaded with her, but she simply brought his hands to her lips and gave them a soft kiss, before letting go to bring her daughter into her arms.
"Christine. I want you to remember my love. Give your love to anyone who deserves it. And hold on to your loves. And if you ever want to speak to me, the angels hear you when you sing." With that, she hugged her daughter for the last time. "Gus. You are my light, thank you for the world. Now i need some sleep." She began to let her eyes droop, letting go of all her family. The midwife led the kids away while the doctor ran to the thin woman.
Gustave begged with her. "Annabelle, no stay awake my love, we have so much to do." But his begs fell on empty ears, as her hands had already stilled, and her lungs breathed for the last time.
With that, Annabelle Daae had died bringing a second to life. The sobs of a broken family echoed down the street.
