Rick was busy in his workshop in the garage, trying to get his thoughts away from the fact that a certain loser named Jerry was once again married to his daughter. Ever since Jerry met her at high school, he instantly knew the man was bad news, especially for Beth, since he had impregnated her when she was seventeen, although, you could give him points because it was an accident, but Rick didn't care about that, he hated him.
He knew that the Galactic Federation provided him with a window of opportunity to establish himself as the de facto patriarch of the Smith family and their universe, and like any other desperate person, he seized it. And seize it he did, winning in doing so. But that fun was not to last. When Beth got the paranoia that she was a clone, she reunited with Jerry, and what he had worked so hard for ended like that, and Beth and Jerry's relationship skyrocketed.
However, not everything was lost. Rick did manage to keep some of his power, and Jerry was still a good punching bag for just about everyone. Just then, Morty burst in, opening the door with a pant. "It's about time, Morty." Rick said, pouring in the vials of one beaker to another before shaking the second beaker.
"No, that's not it, it's about Dad. He wants to go to the country club."
Rick's gaze turned into a glare as he poured the second beaker's contents into a large container before putting it into his safe. "Jesus, it's a real mystery how anybody could care for that loser, he impregnated Beth when she was seventeen." Rick said as Morty glared at him like he was trying to melt his face off. "But don't get me wrong, Summer is an excellent person to be around. I just wish she was born to another father. In a way, she is what the daughter of Indiana Jones would be like. But what of Jerry? What's so special about a loser going to the country club, lately?"
"First off, it's Mom's birthday, and secondly, this." Morty said as he pushed the garage door open, and Rick looked out in awe, his jaw dropping at what he saw.
"Holy shit dog, what are those things?" Rick asked, looking at the rain of strange crystals raining from the sky. "I don't know what this is, but, for once, I'm going, but only because of these strange crystals and my daughter's thirty-fifth birthday is today." Rick then took out the container before blowing on it, the scientist smiled at his craft. "There, I've made another Microverse battery for Beth's car."
"Ugh, this again! You're gonna enslave another race again, aren't you?" Morty grumbled under his breath, looking back at the time he went into Rick's microverse battery.
"It's a birthday gift to Beth." Rick replied, completely ignoring Morty's complaint before wrapping it up in paper. "And besides, it's society, again."
Morty merely rolled his eyes as he and Rick went into the car. Morty wondered why he had to adventure with Rick, or why he was his biological grandfather. He sighed, knowing that he had no chance of having a normal life.
In the deep vacuum of space, a fleet of ships glided. The ships were not the typical spaceships you would find, they looked more like a fleet of sky pirates instead, the inhabitants somehow able to breathe without any form of air. The main ship was much bigger, equipped with an array of cannons and a figurehead with the face of their king.
Said king was obviously not human, but more akin to a dinosaur, or a dragon. Bowser was covered in yellow scales, with green scales on his head, and a snout and stomach covered in light beige skin. A great spiked shell sat on his back, and a fiery red mane grew from between his savage horns. The great Koopa King sat on his throne, with a grim expression plastered onto his face. "Grr… that damn moon!" Bowser said. "It ruined everything! I tried to warn everyone, but nobody outside my kingdom and some of my moon's residents believed it."
After his attempted forced wedding was foiled by Mario and Cappy, he found out a terrible secret from within the moon. He found out that it was going to collide with the world and turn it into a lifeless wasteland. And of course, nobody believed him, but all that changed the day that it DID happen. Bowser suspected that Mario and the gang managed to escape, but he had not heard from them, so the likelihood that they're dead is also there. "I wonder what happened to them…" he whispered, but not before two of his minions came in.
"Sire! We have found something that you'd want to see." the Koopa said. Bowser pressed a button on the arm of his throne, causing a monitor to appear from the ceiling. It displayed a large white comet going towards a planet. "It appears that the Star Bits are now falling towards another planet. Isn't Rosalina supposed to have gone the opposite direction?"
"Well, there are other Lumas out there, remember?" Bowser replied. The Lumas that he attacked weren't the only ones, that he knew. But then, a sudden realization struck him right in the face. "Of course." he said, snapping his fingers. "If Mario and his crew ran off in the opposite direction, then I could grow easily here, and once again build an even greater inter-galactic empire, starting right…"
"I hate to interrupt you, but, it appears we found a planet that has conditions similar enough for our comfort." the Gooma said. Bowser looked as the comet headed towards a blue and green ball in the distance. "It does have a moon, but it is nowhere near as close, and it does not look like it will collide into the planet any time soon."
"Good. Let's go." Bowser said.
"But wait, there appears to be sentient life there. We can't just go in all willy-milly." the first minion responded. "We might as well call it another-"
"Woah, woah, woah. Foot down time." Bowser said, crossing his arms. "I have been very desperate during these months of planetless space! I have waited long enough! If it is a planet with sentient life in it, then we might as well invade!"
"Roger that, boss!" the two said, the Koopa saluting before they walked out the door.
Bowser merely crossed his arms as he looked at the image of the planet before him. After all that searching, he was getting more and more impatient. If there's sentient life, then it will work out fine! He'll just have to invade. And while he's at it, maybe he could plunder whatever resources resided in that comet as well, whether they be Power Stars or something else entirely. He'll just have to take it.
