Disclaimer: I do not own Code Geass or Attack on Titan.
A.N: As of when I'm writing this, I got one review about C.C. So I'll just base your opinions on that one review. Sure, I can wait for more reviews and opinions, but I don't want to make you people have to wait longer than necessary. Also I'm a bit impatient.
Anyways, I would like to establish that I am probably not gonna add any more people from Code Geass into Attack on titan. Also, I haven't officially decided any pairings yet, but it's probably gonna be C.C. and Lelouch. However, I'm not exactly a romance writer, so… it probably won't be the best. I will most likely take the relationship a bit like how PhoenixFire does in his fanfic "Britainia rising". Maybe.
Also changed Lelouch's age from 12 to 15 since it will fit better with the story later on. Wall Maria has also been breached. Had to change that otherwise some weird problems will occur.
Oh, I forgot to denote certain types of indicators for things like thoughts and speech in the last two chapters. So starting now:
"C.C." - Thoughts.
"C.C." - Speech.
Moving on to the reviews:
Vandeta V Veszaliusz - As you command. I hope this chapter fulfills your desire for now.
Patjeeson - To be honest, I haven't finished reading the manga or even started the manga at all… So to answer your question, this fanfic will probably follow the anime.
OBSERVER01 - Thanks for answering the question. :)
Command Unit - Mhm, I don't have any plans for a huge info dump. Well at least, what I would consider a huge info dump. Also when you first reviewed it, I thought I recognized the name from somewhere. Now that I have clicked on your profile, I remembered reading your fanfic. It was quite good, certainly better than the level that mine is currently.
Jh0.0 - You know how I said that Wall Maria hasn't been breached yet in the last chapter? I decided to change that because of some unnecessary complications that would arise from the limited information of the previous training corps.
Ita123 - Glad that you find this interesting.
Now, without any more delay, shall we continue where we left off?
Immortals Among Titans
The Witch and the Warlock
Turning around, Lelouch got the chance to properly scan the recruit behind him. Viewing the recruits, Lelouch's breath hitched in his throat at the sight of a familiar hair color, a few rows down.
The lime-green hair was unmissable in the crowd of recruits, sticking out like a sore thumb. That hair color could only belong to one person.
"C.C.?", thought Lelouch as he craned his neck to get a better look at the recruit with the green hair, without catching the attention of the instructor. "Why is she here?"
Spotting the mischievous golden eyes that adorned her face for a split second, Lelouch had all he needed to confirm her identity. Almost, stepping out of his row to drag her away by instinct, Lelouch caught himself. Unable to approach her without drawing curious eyes or rather the angry eyes of the instructor, Lelouch began to compose several theories to explain her appearance here.
"Perhaps, the collective unconscious brought her here? Or did she pass on her code and died in the previous world? Was the previous world still peaceful? Did she come here using a thought elevator? Are thought elevators even capable of doing that?"
Multiple questions stemmed from the theories he had created. Each theory adds more and more questions to the ever growing list. Turning to the source of said theories, Lelouch was determined to find the answers to his questions.
Brimming with questions, Lelouch continued his attempts at approaching her without drawing suspicion. Finally, getting his chance during the evening, Lelouch found her eating at a table by herself. Grabbing and dragging her outside, Lelouch turned around and nearly hissed at her.
"C.C. Why are you here?"
C.C. smirked evilly, unbeknownst to Lelouch and looked at him with a confused expression.
"C- who? I think you got the wrong person."
Caught a bit off guard, Lelouch took a step back, mumbling apologies. "I'm sorry, I must have mistaken you for the wrong person."
"Considering that this is a new world and that my parents looked almost identical to Charles and Marianne, I guess there could be a person that looked like C.C.", reasoned Lelouch.
Letting out a small laugh, C.C. smiled at Lelouch. "You never change, Lelouch."
Lelouch glared at C.C. "Witch."
"Warlock." replied the witch in a mischievous manner.
Sighing exasperatedly, Lelouch pouted, prompting the green haired witch to laugh again. Lelouch scowled at the infuriating witch as she continued to snicker at him.
As C.C. regained her composure, Lelouch began to question her. "How did you get here? What happened to the previous world? How is Nunnally?"
"Straight to the point as always, Lelouch. Where should I start… Zero requiem went off without a hitch. It has been a year since you died. Nunnally has been ruling well. The world has been relatively peaceful after your death. As for how I got here, the collective unconscious made me an offer of helping you. And since you haven't completed your end of the contract yet, I accepted. After all, I did say that I would be with you until the end and seeing that you are clearly not dead yet…"
Turning to the witch that has been with him from the start of his rebellion, Lelouch smiled. "Very well then. I'll fulfill my end of the contract, C.C."
C.C. gave Lelouch a small smile. "So Lelouch, what do you plan on doing now?"
"Hmm, I plan on investigating several questions I have about this world and perhaps eradicate the titans since they are the biggest threat to the peace of this world." replied Lelouch. "However, I have a question. Do you still have your code?"
"Do I? Maybe I do, maybe I don't." Said C.C with a slight trace of amusement in her voice.
Lelouch sighed. "Answer the question C.C."
"Always killing the fun, Lelouch. But to answer your question. Yes, I still have a code. Why?" questioned C.C.
"No reason." Answered Lelouch.
C.C. narrowed her eyes. "Uh, huh."
"Anyways it's good to have you at my side again C.C."
C.C. nodded her head. "It's good to see you again, Lelouch."
Lelouch and C.C. turned to gaze at the courtyard l, deep in thought about what this world had in store for them. Movement by the courtyard caught his eyes. Focusing on the movement, Lelouch was able to discern a figure running around the yard. Lelouch figured it was the potato girl from the morning.
Lelouch had spent a relatively big portion of yesterday night conversing with C.C. before it was time to sleep.
Waking up, Lelouch half expected to find a certain green haired witch hogging up a large portion of his bed. To his relief (and perhaps a bit of disappointment), C.C. had slept in her bed in another cabin. Dressed in his military uniform, Lelouch followed the rest of the recruits as they began their second day in the cadet/training corps.
Not too long after the morning, Lelouch found himself in a courtyard, along with the other recruits. Their instructor or otherwise known as Shadis was standing in front of multiple structures. These structures consisted of 3 wooden and metal poles that were angled to form a pyramid-like shape. At the top of the structure was a metal contraption that curved downward with metal wires attached to the ends of the contraption. The metal wires were also connected to a handle that was used to raise or lower the object they were attached to.
"Alright, listen up! This will be your aptitude test!" yelled instructor Shadis. "If you can't make it, then you will be shipped off to the fields!"
Lelouch watched as the wires were clipped onto the belts of the first of the recruits. He watched as several individuals wearing a training corps instructor uniform, turned the handle attached to the wires, which in turn, lifted up the recruit into the air. The results of these tests between the recruits varied. Some managed to balance quickly or slowly. Others failed to balance and fell down on their faces.
As each recruit had their turn, Lelouch looked over to C.C. The green haired woman seemed to be able to balance quite well on the contraption. "Not too surprising." thought Lelouch. "She has probably been alive for centuries. Who knows what skills she may have mastered in the many years that have passed."
Reaching his turn, the wires were strapped onto Lelouch's belt. The wires were slowly lifted into the air, pulling Lelouch up with it. Wobbling, Lelouch struggled to correct his balance on the machine. Mimicking the movements of some of the more successful recruits, he was able to straighten his balance whilst suspended in mid-air. Lelouch focused on keeping his balance as he was pulled even higher, before being left to hang there for a few moments. As Lelouch continued to keep his balance, his body was able to grow more and more accustomed to balancing on the wires. Granted it was much progress, but it was a starting point. Upon being approved by Shadis, Lelouch was lowered to the ground and unhooked from the machine as the next recruit was called up.
Lelouch turned his head sideways and saw two more men in Training Corps uniform. They appeared to be conversing about how the recruits were doing since they were overlooking them and talking to each other in a quiet voice. Following their stares, Lelouch found himself looking at a rather unfortunate recruit by the name of Eren. Eren had failed the aptitude test in a rather spectacular fashion and was swaying from the wires, upside down. To make it worse, Shadis was yelling at him while the crowd around him was snickering.
Lelouch turned away and set out to meet up with C.C.
Lelouch met up with C.C. as the recruits were arriving at the cafeteria. Lelouch was exhausted from the training exercises they had endured in the last few hours even with his increased stamina. He had basically collapsed onto the bench. C.C. on the other hand, was quite the opposite of Lelouch in terms of energy. She sat beside Lelouch with a carefully disguised look of a mixture of pity and amusement.
"Your stamina is still largely lacking, Lelouch. It's a wonder that you can carry the size of your pride."
"Shut it, witch. My pride isn't that large." muttered Lelouch as he fought to steady his breathing. "It's a wonder that you are not inflated from all the pizza you have consumed. Especially since your hefty spending has made a rather significant dent into my credit card."
"How rude. I haven't had pizza in quite some time Lelouch. Speaking of pizza, I want some pizza." C.C. replied. "You should be honored. I gave up your credit card and the large amount of pizza it could have bought me, to help you accomplish your goal in this world."
Lelouch sighed. He was actually quite happy to see C.C. even though he had to deal with the witch's insufferable behavior.
"My dear witch. You should know that it would be incredibly hard, if not impossible to gain access to the necessary ingredients to make pizza in this world."
C.C. almost seemed saddened by this fact. "Well, my Warlock, you better perform a miracle and overcome this impossible barrier, otherwise you will have to deal with a rather irritated witch."
Lelouch sighed again. "I'll try my best, but I can't make any promises."
Lelouch was still quite tired when he woke up the next day. He had to basically drag himself out of bed and get ready for the tiresome day that was sure to be ahead of him. Groaning, Lelouch jogged to the area where the rest of the recruits were. They were to start running along a rather long path to increase their stamina, while those who failed the aptitude test yesterday would retake the test.
Running alongside the other recruits gave Lelouch some time to think as running didn't require as much thought despite it being quite exhausting to run the full trek. His mind wandered around, tackling the problem he had been tasked with last night. That problem being the lack of pizzas available to the common soldier.
Perhaps he could find some nobles and swindle some cash out of them in a chess game. That notion, however, was quickly dismissed since nobles hardly left the innermost wall. Lelouch decided that he would probably have to gamble against merchants like his father, who could gain quite a large amount of wealth without being a noble. Another added benefit from their occupation would be that they would most likely have to travel around, meaning that there could be quite a few merchants nearby.
With that problem solved, Lelouch began to delve back to some memories of the previous world. Smiling at some of the happy memories, Lelouch did not notice he had slowed down somewhat until C.C.'s infuriatingly mocking voice drew him out of his day dreaming. "Already tired, Lelouch? It's like you have hardly changed. Though the old Lelouch would have probably fallen on the floor ages ago."
Lelouch could only growl in response as he increased his pace to catch up with the others. Truefully, he was a bit glad that C.C. had interrupted his day dreaming when she did. If he had fallen behind more than he had, he probably would have to do more running as punishment from Instructor Shadis.
"Maybe that was her goal. Despite how irritating that witch can get, she always seems to have my back. And for that, I am grateful." decided Lelouch.
"C.C."
"Yes, Lelouch?"
"Thank you."
C.C. gave him a small smile. "You don't need to thank me. I said I would be at your side until the end, didn't I?"
Lelouch chuckled. "And I will be at your side. After all, I did promise to be your warlock as long as you are a witch."
C.C. gave Lelouch one of her rare genuine smiles.
However, before she could answer Lelouch, they had completed their run and were directed to another courtyard. Instructor Shadis began to explain their next training exercise. Hand to hand combat. Lelouch's heart sank as soon as he heard the topic of the next training exercise. Even with better physical abilities, Lelouch doubted he would be able to take down a person. He had skipped most of the martial arts lessons that Tohdoh had tried to teach him back in the Kururugi residence as a child. Lelouch had no doubt that he would be easily beaten by his fellow recruits.
Seeing Lelouch's face turn pale so rapidly almost caused a snicker to rise in C.C. Unlike Lelouch, C.C. was still as expressionless as ever. She speculated that she could probably surpass and overcome every other recruit there. She did have centuries of more experience and has participated in multiple wars in the past.
A sly smirk made its way across C.C.'s face as she grabbed Lelouch (who was trying to go unnoticed) and dragged him to the yard, ignoring his protests and struggling. C.C. grabbed one of the wooden knives and shoved it into Lelouch's hand. Lelouch stared blankly at the knife that was in his hand.
"What do you want me to do with this?" he asked, a bit perplexed.
"Did you not hear the instructor, boya? Charge at me with it."
"Wha-" started Lelouch before he was cut off when C.C. dropped down and swiped his legs from underneath him. OOF. "Ugghh! What was that for you witch?!"
"You didn't defend yourself." stated the Witch with a blank stare.
Bluntly put, Lelouch found the stare the witch was giving him annoying. With a groan, Lelouch got up and grabbed a firm hold on the knife and charged at C.C. The witch in question simply grabbed a hold of Lelouch's hand and pushed it and the knife away, while utilizing his momentum to throw him over her shoulder. Lelouch found himself on the ground again, staring up at the infuriating smirk adorned on C.C.'s face.
Growling, Lelouch got back up and charged C.C. again seemingly not learning his lesson. C.C. reached out to perform the same maneuver, just as Lelouch suddenly slowed down and tried another strategy. C.C. quickly adapted and Lelouch found himself on the ground again. Again. And again. And again.
Lelouch silently laid on the floor as he was thrown to the ground once again by an irritating witch who found this whole situation quite amusing. Lelouch groaned quietly as the instructor told the recruits to change places with their partners. Picking himself up, Lelouch glared at the still smirking witch, who now held the knife. Lelouch contemplated how he should defend himself from the rather dangerous witch. Admittingly, Lelouch doubted that he would be able to avoid being stabbed by the knife. He was really starting to regret skipping those martial arts classes that Tohdoh had tried to make him attend.
Amused, C.C. offered to teach her dear contractor as he failed to successfully defend himself for the third time. Lelouch accepted her offer a bit reluctantly as he was essentially getting help from the perpetrator of his current suffering. C.C. had managed to teach Lelouch how to at least use one of the maneuvers at a basic level. Not quite enough to stop her, but just enough to slow her down for a very short amount of time. To which, Lelouch gladly took it as a victory.
Standing outside of the cafeteria, Lelouch sighed. Several days have passed since his fairly embarrassing defeat to C.C. in hand to hand combat. Whilst he was improving at a steady rate, albeit a bit slow, he still could not successfully defend himself against his rather vexing accomplice. This frustrated Lelouch to no end, as he did not like losing so soundly, especially to C.C. To top it off, the aggravating witch would not stop pestering him about pizza, a problem that he had yet to have a solution for. They were in a military training camp, there was no pizzaria nearby and the cafeteria did not serve or contain any ingredients for pizza, save for dough. There was also no way for Lelouch to sneak out of the camp and return with pizza, nor did he have any power to use over the instructors, whether it be political, economical or even a geass.
On the brighter side, Lelouch was doing better than most with the 3d maneuver gear, not to the point of being top 1, but in the top 10s. He, however, was top of his class when it came to his academic studies. Unlike the classes in Ashford Academy, Lelouch could not skip or sleep through them, lest he risk being ordered to run until the sun sets by his instructors.
Lelouch let out another sigh as he heard more yelling coming out of the cafeteria. It was either C.C. had done something to another recruit to alleviate her boredom or it was Eren yelling about how he would kill all the titans. Seeing C.C. walking toward him, Lelouch came to the conclusion that C.C. left the cafeteria to avoid Eren's rather obnoxious yelling.
Lelouch found Eren to be irritating. His constant yelling and brash attitude was annoying at best and down-right insufferable at worst. However, Lelouch saw a resemblance of himself in Eren; anger and determination to destroy the murderer(s) of his mother. Of course, Lelouch no longer held any care for his mother after learning that she, alongside their father, had willingly abandoned them for their plan to kill god. Eren's friends on the hand, were not as irritating to Lelouch. The yellowish blonde hair boy, or Armin, was less outspoken and more intelligent than Eren. The back hair girl, or Mikasa, was quiet unless Eren was involved. She was rather intelligent and skilled with the 3d maneuver gear, if the aptitude test was to show for anything.
"Lelouch" said a familiar voice.
Turning around to address the witch, Lelouch was rather startled when a rock flew by his head. "C.C!" exclaimed Lelouch in irritation, only for his next words to die down at the dark aura around C.C.
"Where is my pizza?"
A.N: End of chapter 3.
I really hope you like this chapter. I have some things to make clear.
Let's start with Geass and the code.
Will Lelouch get his geass back? Yes. He will get his geass back soon enough.
Now to those who haven't seen Code Geass, to put it simply a Geass is a power that is based on the inner wish that a person receiving the Geass may have. A code grants the bearer immortality, immunity to Geass, the ability to grant a Geass to a person. The immortality extends beyond traditional immortality as it keeps the person in perfect health and allows them to regrow any part of their body that is lost.
Now with that cleared up. I have something to say. That being: Lelouch and C.C. are quite hard to keep in character. They quite simply refuse to cooperate. So, I really do hope that I kept them in character enough. I really tried my best, however I am still a novice writer so many things will probably go wrong in the future.
Oh, and I chose to end this chapter in a more lighthearted way as to contrast to the darker chapter endings in the future.
Anyways, see you next update.
