Glimmer, now behind Bill, throws some light blasts at him. Bill is fully recharged and stops the blasts in midair. Slowly, he turns around, his hand shaking with the effort of keeping the blasts in place. He floats into the air and releases his hold. The blasts slam into the next wall, almost hitting a random servant. The man slowly backs out of the room. Fed up, Bow loads an arrow but is stopped by Micah.

"Glimmer needs to sort this on her own," he said.

Glimmer summons her magic staff and swings it at Bill. From seemingly nowhere, a black walking cane appeared in Bill's hand. He raised the cane to block the incoming strike. Bill, grinning like a madman, shoves his palm into Glimmer's stomach. Bill follows with a kick to the face as she staggered away. She collapses to the ground groaning and breathing through gritted teeth.

"Are you done?" Bill asks.

"Are- are you- kidding me?" she pants stubbornly. "I'm- just getting started."

"Have it your way," Bill said shrugging.

He grabbed Glimmer by the scruff of her neck and yeets her onto the table with a slam. As he raises his fist, Glimmer teleports to safety and looks at Bill in anger.

"What you didn't expect me to wait until you got up did you?" Bill giggled. "I agreed to help you all and right now consider this a fighting lesson. First lesson: honor and respect goes out the window during battle. It'll get you killed one day and that'd be embarrassing for me."

Glimmer grabbed her staff and charged with a yell. She threw it like a spear. Bill quickly sidestepped and raised his hand. From the ground, a glowing blue chain burst up and snaked it's way around her neck. Bill slowly clenched his hand and the chain began to tighten.

Choking, Glimmer quickly cast a spell and the chain broke. She teleported in front of him slammed her fist into his jaw. Caught by surprise, Bill grunted and fell to the ground. As Glimmer wound her fist for another punch something grabbed her from behind. She looked around but even though the pressure on her shoulders stayed, nothing was there.

Suddenly she was yanked to the ground. Bill stood and levitated her 10 feet up before letting her drop. Glimmer landed right next to the broken chain. She grabbed it and teleported behind him and wound it around his own neck. The chain turned red and began to blister her skin while leaving Bill unmarked. She let out a shout of pain and dropped the chain hurriedly.

The chain turned blue again and grew longer. They shot to her and wrapped around her pinning her arms to her side. Glimmer lost her balance and fell backwards. Bill loomed over her and raised his hand. Blue flames leaped up and as he was about to strike, Glimmer teleported away.

Her eyes widened in surprise when the chains stuck with her. Bill turned and a stream of pure blue flame shot at her. Glimmer teleported again above him. As she fell on top of him, his concentration broke and the chains loosened. He bucked up, throwing her off.

She twisted in the air and landed on her feet and shot a quick light blast into his face. Blinded, Bill flailed about, throwing random bursts of fire in every direction. She quickly followed with a few more. Bill raised a shield until he could see again - which is just another way of saying a few seconds. Bill looked pleased. He lowered the shield.

He was panting, sweat streaming down his face. Glimmer was worse, with sweat stinging the blisters on her hands, a welt was visible around her neck, and she had multiple bruises.

"Good," he praised. "You didn't wait until I had recovered. Good girl."

"THIS IS NOT A LESSON!" she shrieked.

She rushed at him again. Bill caught her head, brought it down, and kneed her in the face. Glimmer staggered back, seeing double. She had enough sense to duck as both Bills swung at her. She dived for his legs, bringing them out from under him.

He rose into the air before he hit the ground, but Glimmer grabbed both his feet and swung him with all her strength down. The resulting thump was not very loud. Bill rolled onto his back as Glimmer threw more light blasts. He formed another shield and an unseen force shoved her to the ground. Ruthlessly, he kicked her head while she was still on the ground.

She teleported to the other side of the room. Struggling to her feet, she coughed up a wad of blood.

Impressive, Bill thought. I beat the living hell out of her and she still ready to fight.

"Second lesson: a good fighter also knows when she's beat." he said aloud. "Do you yield?"

"Never"

Bill once again summoned that unseen force. He made no visible movements but Glimmer had noticed a change in air pressure whenever he did that and teleported behind him. She summoned her staff and jabbed him roughly. He whipped around only to have to dodge multiple light blasts. The third caught him and he fell flat on his back.

She was about to throw a fourth when someone tapped her on the back. She turned to see... Bill?! She glanced back to see... Bill getting up?! Glimmer's blood froze. He can make copies.

The real Bill was easy to spot. The copy looked... faded was the only word for it, a pale imitation of him. Bill stood back and let the clone do the work. The clone lunged but Glimmer sidestepped and caught its arm. She twisted its arm.

The clone opened its mouth in a scream but no sound came out. The clone began to disintegrate. As it died Bill stalked next to her and put his hands on her hand. A sense of peace and contentment washed over her.

Vaguely a voice spoke. "Hurt yourself."

Her fist raised. She brought it down as had as she could into her stomach. The waving pain snapped her out of the trance but before she could stike back, Bill landed another hit, shoving his cane into her belly and bringing the handle to her chin. Her head snapped up and Bill twisted her arm beheind her back. Glimmer couldn't move lest she break her arm.

"Do you yeild?" Bill asked again.

Glimmer didn't respond. Bill twisted her arm another fraction.

"I yeild, I yeild!" she gasped.

Bill waited a moment before letting go. Glimmer dropped to the ground, defeated. Bill was drenched in sweat and a bleeding lip stained his teeth red. He turned to the spectators who were watching in a mixture of fear and awe.

"Now if you'll pardon me, I'd like a proper bed now," Bill said.
