"I'll inject it into him like this, save your energy and saves Gorrath wounds he won't be able to heal properly from" The Commander said as he took the venom into an injection and put it to Gorrath's neck. "Oh I think he'd love the idea of me munching on his neck" Kira mumbled and Sen pleaded to the Commander in silence asking to be allowed to go to her while he tended the King. With a nod, Sen went to her. "Can one over dose on your venom?" he asked and she scoffed "get a high probably, die? Nah. She spoke with the mightier than thou voice and the men didn't know whether or not to attack or thank the ominous Kai for bringing the Avian queen here. "Did they have one of these on them?" she held out a glass with the nano-bug in it and the Commander breathed out before showing her his hand that had the two NB's in it and the Queen nodded as she produced two infusion bags with a blue liquid in it. "These will help."br /Two other Doctors were brought in and they put the infusion bags on a drip for them both while the Queen instructed that they best remain in the tubs under icy waters. Though she was concerned about Kira being under icy waters for too long because of her cold blooded nature, And Sen agreed. br /The Commander chased the men out and made Kai wait in the waiting room. He stood outside with the Queen who refused to leave until the royals were back on their feet. br /Kaman looked at Sen as he watched out for Kira, making sure she was at the right temperature, not to cold and not too hot. Sen had his face hidden from Kaman as he looked at Kira. His fear of losing someone close to him was biting at his heels. He couldn't lose her, not so soon after she brought him back to himself. "I'll inject it into him like this, save your energy and saves Gorrath wounds he won't be able to heal properly from" The Commander said as he took the venom into an injection and put it to Gorrath's neck. "Oh I think he'd love the idea of me munching on his neck" Kira mumbled and Sen pleaded to the Commander in silence asking to be allowed to go to her while he tended the King. With a nod, Sen went to her. "Can one over dose on your venom?" he asked and she scoffed "get a high probably, die? Nah. No one dies from my venom" Sen took a cup and filled it with water before giving it to her. As he went to help her focus on her drink, his hand went to her neck and he could feel the rapid beats of her heart. "Should you're heart be beating this much?" he asked desperately and she shook her head before passing out. br /Kaman returned with the Ice and a few more men to help carry in more. The look of Kira and Gorrath made them all pass concerned glances. Before an elegant looking Avian came in with Kai behind her "Empress" The Commander addressed her as he stood up "Please forgive my intrusion, This soldier behind me informed me that two very important people were poisoned by something and since my Husband is busy helping with the ship. I will personally help your King and Princess." She spoke with the mightier than thou voice and the men didn't know whether or not to attack or thank the ominous Kai for bringing the Avian queen here. "Did they have one of these on them?" she held out a glass with the nano-bug in it and the Commander breathed out before showing her his hand that had the two NB's in it and the Queen nodded as she produced two infusion bags with a blue liquid in it. "These will help."br /Two other Doctors were brought in and they put the infusion bags on a drip for them both while the Queen instructed that they best remain in the tubs under icy waters. Though she was concerned about Kira being under icy waters for too long because of her cold blooded nature, And Sen agreed. br /The Commander chased the men out and made Kai wait in the waiting room. He stood outside with the Queen who refused to leave until the royals were back on their feet. br /Kaman looked at Sen as he watched out for Kira, making sure she was at the right temperature, not to cold and not too hot. Sen had his face hidden from Kaman as he looked at Kira. His fear of losing someone close to him was biting at his heels. He couldn't lose her, not so soon after she brought him back to himself. He wouldn't be able to bare itbr /"hey" Kaman spoke up "How is she doing?" Sen took a while to reply, for he had to fight the lump in his throat. "She is strong" was all Kaman got from him because he was unable to chase his fears /Kaman was just as concerned, Kira was the only other person he could speak about Dren too, no one else understood him. He lost his brother and best friend and he wouldn't be able to function if she didn't pull through. p class="MsoNormal"They were moved back into their medical cots with more special infusion bags from the Avian queen. Kira recovered quickly while Lord Gorrath remained weak and asleep. When she awoke she was told by the doctor about the close call they both had. "When will he wake up? Is he okay?" Kira asked and the Commander sighed "He will take some time to recover. He hasn't been this sick before. But he won't give up." He said slowly. She sighed as she looked over to him. br /br /Each day that passed, Kira came by to check on him. See if his condition had improved. But to her he had remained the same. Her worry as well as the men all grew. br /br /The Commander walked in Gorrath's room where he sat up. Holding his head as he hunched over himself. Drenched in sweat and fever. The Commander approached him with caution and placed a cold damp cloth behind his neck. "Is she alright?" Gorrath asked in a whisper. "Better than you, Warmaster" The Commander spoke dryly. "watch your sass, Commander" He grunted out sharply. "Nightmares never cease? Is it the war or more personal?" Gorrath sighed "I'm too weak to walk, I get dizzy just by sitting. The fever does not help my nightmares." He whispered. It was silent for a long while before Gorrath spoke again "I'm going to court, Kira" he spoke and the Commander stared at him "Are you mad" and Gorrath looked at him. His face was worn but sober "I'll go mad if I don't. She … she is …" He looked away "I…" the Commander shook his head "Just wait till we return home my lord before you do something you'll regret" Gorrath shook his head "I'll regret not having every single moment I can with her while she is still is here. Her time is short… compared to ours." The Commander moved back "Do you think that she's interested in courtship? Let alone being a em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"Queen/em?" Gorrath glared at him "What do you imply by that?" The Commander stared at him "The em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"maidens, /emWarmaster" Gorrath looked at him puzzled for a long while before pulling a face "I was young and foolish. I wouldn't do that to her. I had completely forgotten about those women" he huffed before he started coughing. The Commander looked away as his mind raced. "Let's see your thoughts when you recover" he whispered before /br /Kai sat on a hall bench not far from Kira's room. Just staring at the floor. Unable to stop his thoughts from reeling. He looked up at the sound of foot falls and watched as men talked among each other while they ignored him. He felt hollow. The Commander gave him a small thanks for getting the Queen involved by not throwing him into solitary for em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;""Scheming up something that will hurt someone"/em no matter what he did he always messed it up. Someone always got hurt and one time mistake nearly got the whole ship blown to shit. He held his head. What was wrong with him? No one would listen to him. Everyone knew Kai the fuck up. Kai the traitor. Kai the freak. Now they were turning the scientist Kira against him. He had to talk to her. Get her to see his truth… maybe she'll listen. She was a woman after all… br /br /Kira sat on her bed as she looked at the door. With the ship in shambles and in repair, she wasn't allowed to leave her room to help or continue with her projects… Not like she'd be able to focus anyway. With Lord Gorrath in such a horrible state after protecting her after she, well, lost her sanity. Her mind since then was like static. When she woke up with Lord Gorrath dehydrated above her she was first confused and didn't know what to do. It was only when she smelt the scent of blood did she start to focus. She spoke softly at first but then she realised that Gorrath was keeping them safe from being killed. Took a long while for Gorrath to come too. br /After she got them out of the danger she didn't recall passing out. The only thing she remembered was that she was in danger. It only took a few moments for her mind to realise that the danger was inside her not outside. Once she bit herself, she just went and bit Gorrath… Like, "Oh! Hey, no big deal biting the king!" br /she held her head in a frustrated sigh. she hoped that Lord Gorrath would recover /br /…./p

When he turned the corner, there were just his men. Standing quietly in the hallway. He paused and one by one, his men turned to face him. Their eyes sad and their heads lowered in a condolence bow. Weary he walked as his men parted to the sides and each step felt heavier and heavier. His heart was getting painfully fast. Then, he saw what had made them pause in silence. As he too paused … span style="mso-spacerun: yes;" /spanAs he saw Kira lay in the middle of the hallway, a splattered bloody path towards her and her blood pooled around her. He stared and his feet pulled him towards her. His heart and mind unable to figure out what he was seeing. This couldn't happen. There was no way this could have happened. But the closer he got the weaker he became, finally he fell to his knees before her. He picked her up and saw the blasts through her chest. Agony tore at him along with a scream he couldn't contain./embr /br /"lord Gorrath! Lord Gorrath! Calm down! It's okay!" his doctor attempted to calm him as Gorrath woke with screams so frightening that the Commander rushed in from the hallway. "My lord!" Gorrath sat up and gasped. He shook in terror and looked about him as he gripped the bed. It was only when his eyes fell on the Commander that he felt uncertain fear in his delirium fever. The Commander however had seen such an agonising stare and that dreadful scream, one too many times before with his king. He felt hopelessness pull at him. Uncertain and unsure he chased away the doctors and waited for Gorrath to speak. It was quiet before Gorrath began to talk. "Am I cursed? Commander?" He started softly as he held his head. The Commander tipped his "What do you mean, warmaster?" He asked carefully. "You know strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"exactly/strong what I mean!" he shouted before he sighed "Every women I ever loved… die. Horribly. If …" he couldn't continue. "Are you thinking about Saria and…?" Gorrath nodded "That wasn't your fault my Lord" Gorrath looked at him "Isn't it?" he rasped "She was kidnapped because of me. She and my unborn daughter died because of me!" The roar made him tremble but the Commander continued "If it weren't for her sacrifice we wouldn't have gotten a foothold-" Gorrath cut hm off "Don't use that crap on me! All the women I was with died. Murdered by em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"my/em em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"enemies/em…." He huffed and the Commander looked at him "Did you have another… vision?" he asked and Gorrath held his head "Kira can't be here when the war starts… start planning on ways to keep her from battle. Safe from danger" the Commander nodded "Right away my Lord" he started making his way out before he looked back at his king "Get more rest Lord Gorrath. We need you strong" Gorrath waved him off "Go to your duties as my second" br /br /Sen and Kaman approached the Commander as he signed a form and pointed the man in a direction "Commander, we heard Lord Gorrath is awake, is he any better?" Sen asked and the Commander looked at him before he looked at Kaman "He is still fevered and so are his thoughts. He appears to be recovering" Kaman knew something was up with the way he looked at him. "Lady Kira wants to see him, is she permitted to?" Kaman looked at him before the Commander Continued "It is best that she stays confound to her room. I don't think it wise to allow her to see him while his temper is now uncontrolled." Kaman scoffed "Or his thoughts and emotions" Sen looked at him with a frown "What's with that attitude?" Kaman ignored him "She's not allowed to leave. Besides, You two can help repair the ship. Kira is safe and we need to get as much of the ship repaired before Lord Gorrath starts walking about again." Kaman nodded "You must be relieved" Commander nodded "I do not wish to replace Lord Gorrath permanently. I do not have what he has on the men I am less of an inspiration than he." Kaman scoffed at that "You were the leader of the oceans before you became a mere second in command. Take some credit, half of your men still slither about" Commander didn't take to his humour or positive reinforcement. "Either way, Kaman. I am not Lord Gorrath. Even my men would rather serve him than I. They only listen to me because they all fear the loss of our leader. You know how lost we would be." br /br /Sen stopped listening as he looked down the hallway where Lord Gorrath still lay. Suffering from a weakened immune system and other damages from the poison he and Kira had suffered. He frowned.
