Amity Blight was indeed broken. How could she have been so gullible? And that kiss… Although it felt so meaningful.. It must have been nothing to Luz. It was a 2-hour ride, and one spent staring out that window. Now what? The greenette will go back to her everyday life. She'll have to. Forget all about her again, no different from before. Except it was… it was so much more different from before. Did she even care? Did she enjoy hurting Amity like this? Why would she steal the witches first kiss only to abandon her? Amity hated her. She hated her all over again, because she couldn't help but get love sick….

"Jerk" she said to herself, the train finally stopping.

Amity wanted to cry, she wanted to cradle herself, curled up in a ball under a rock and bawl. Though she wouldn't. she promised herself she wouldn't lose sleep over her, cry, pine, or try to get him back. She's stronger than that. The Blight watched as passengers stood and cleared out, but the business woman made no attempt to go anywhere. Maybe this train won't notice her, and take the woman far far away…

"Amity!" exclaimed a familiar voice. She looked up to see five faces peeking in the door; Emira, Edric, Willow, Gus and Viney. She stood stunned, then grabbed her bag above.

"Hey… Why are you guys here?" Amity asked, her hurting masked by a smile.

"Someone told us you'd be here." Said Viney

"Oh.. Well here I am." She said looking at her feet. She must have appeared awful. She had lost a substantial amount of weight, her outfit tattered from the Victor run in, and a gloomy cloud sat over her head.

"We were on a mission to find you, and tooth face said you'd be here. We were hesitant to believe him but- what happened Amity?" Her sister cut her brother off, worried and upset. Should she tell them?

"Nothing, it doesn't matter anymore… All that matters is that I'm here…" She said, unable to hold eye contact with either of them.

"let's just get home" Emira said wrapping her arm around her sister as Edric grabbed Amitys bag.

With that they were off. Nothing quite memorable.. Amity hadn't really said anything to anybody the whole walk back, nor did they ask anything. One might say it was an 'awkward silence', but amity had been glad no one said anything to her in particular. Her mind wasn't quite present; she was lost in the depths of her mind. They hadn't changed any, Edric was still loud and hyper, but the youngest Blight blocked out anything he said really. Viney was still crazy in love with her sister, quiet and assertive. Emira only talked when necessary, staring at the clouds. Willow and Gus was, well Willow and Gus. Had Amity expected any different? It had only been a month. Though the life before that month was a million miles away. It continued like that the whole way there.

"We're home!" shouted Edric, racing to the gates of the Boiling Isles. Though Amity only stared, taking one paced step at a time. Her home town was timeless. Every crack, every nook, building, child, untouched by time. So why had it seemed so different then before?

Amity had barley passed the gates when a police officer came up to her. "Mr Blight would like to talk to you" she nodded, stepping away from everyone to follow the police officer back to Blight manor.

She was soon in front of her father's office a little nervous. She struggled a moment, gripping the door knob, wondering if she should enter now or later.

"Amity, come in" stated a stern tone from behind the door. Too late. Amity pushed the door open and stood there, watching her father overlooking all the papers on his desk; the man's fingers laced together level to her face.

"take a seat."

She did as command. She closed the door behind her and walked across the room, sitting now the opposing side of the office table.

"Yes father?"

"As you are aware, we are going to withdraw the business plans with Magnolia, the council governing our nations has found a treaty of sorts to prevent this. They said since it had been you who started the mess, it will be you who fixes it. I tried to talk them out of it, but it can't be helped. I'm sorry amity but it's inevitable." Amity's face twisted in confusion, and her father continued "You vowed to protect this company when I chose you as the successor, it's an unfortunate turn of events." Her father clearly showing discomfort in his face.

"What is it father?"
