Lux x Jinx - kisses (based on soapai's Instagram pfp - give it a visit if you can, it's really great art)
Author's note: Sorry y'all for being inactive for a while. I know not too many people read my stories, but if you're here, thank you. The reason for my absence is the quarantine has me down. I'm back living with my parents for now, but my brother is a pain. He's also here, so it really sucks. Also the fact that I've been feeling unmotivated.
"So, are you ready?" Lux asked, while putting her final earring on.
"I don't know, Luxxie." Jinx nervously replied. She was putting on her heels, with only her earrings left to do. Lux paced around, trying not to show her nervousness. She wore a grand blue dress, her heels were the same color, and her earrings were light blue diamonds.
"I'm surprised you agreed to dress up fancy for me." Lux stated, as she walked towards Jinx. Her light blue hair was braided into a single ponytail. A navy blue blazer and pants fitted her, and a white dress shirt was underneath.
"Anything for you, although this is kind of uncomfortable." Jinx said, raising her arms to show Lux the lack of freedom in her outfit.
"Sorry Jessie, but I kind of need you to keep it on until later." Lux apologized.
"It's 'k" Jinx muttered, still extremely nervous. Lux had taken her earrings, which were navy blue circles that matched the suit, and began putting them in. When she was finished, she pulled back to look at her work proudly with a smile. It was quickly diminished when she saw Jinx's eyes forming tears.
"What's wrong? Did I push you too far?" Lux asked. "I can stop everything right now if you're too uncomfortable with the situation."
"N-no, you're ok." Jinx sniffled, holding back tears. The two were going to the grand ball, and were indubitably going to see Lux's parents. Unfortunately they for some reason held a strong dislike for Jinx.
"What-What if they see me again?" Jinx asked, her voice cracking up.
"What do you mean?"
"What if they call me useless again?"
"They won't." Lux replied firmly. "I'll make sure they don't."
"What if they separate us?"
"It's ok, Jinx."
"What if I am useless. What if I am a sack of shit like they said? What if I'm not worthy enough for you?" Jinx cried, tears falling freely down her face. "I'm not good enough for you."
"Shhh." Lux lifted up Jinx's face and looked her in the eye. Using the other hand she shushed Jinx's mouth, and wiped away the tears. Lux held Jinx's head in her hands, and pulled in closer.
"You're more than enough for me." She kissed one cheek, leaving a red lipstick stain on it.
"You're not useless." Another kiss on the other cheek."
"You're not a sack of shit." She kissed again.
"You're amazing." She kissed her again. "You take my breath away." Another kiss.
"Most of all," Lux pulled away, still holding onto Jinx's head, "I love you." She kissed Jinx on the lips, bringing her arms around Jinx's back. She hugged Jinx, moving her hands up and down her back.
"Nothing will ever change the fact that I love you." Lux said as she pulled away. Her arms fell to her sides as she looked directly at Jinx. "Never forget that."
"Thanks, Lux." Jinx replied. She wiped away her tears, as a smile began forming on her face. "I really needed that."
"I really need you." Lux replied slyly. "I love you."
"Thanks." Jinx was left smiling as Lux exited the room.
"Meet me at the ballroom." Was the parting remark. Jinx began laughing, remembering the lipstick stains on her cheek.
"Love you too." Jinx called back, as she began wiping the lipstick off her face.
AN: I was proofreading the second chapter of 'Love Who You Love' and I erased it and began rewriting it. Sorry for the delay. I'm also going to change the title.
