Chapter 6, enjoy!

At precisely 6:15 Monday morning, Julie's alarm echoed though the room.

"Turn it off before you wake her up," Tim said covering his ears with a pillow. Julie turned off the alarm and slid out of bed turning on the bedroom light. "Jules..." He groaned.

"I have to get up and go to school," She told him.

"But I can't sleep with the lights on," He replied.

"You're going to be up in like 15 minutes with her anyways."

"But you're already up, why can't you get her when she wakes up?"

"Because I'm going to take my shower, dummy. It won't hurt you to get up. And I took care of her in the night," She replied, grabbing her clothes and making her way to the shower. Tim heard the show start running, but before long was back to sleep. Until cries blasted through the baby monitor.

Tim slowly climbed out of bed and groggily ran his hands over his face. He ventured into the nursery to tend to the crying infant. He lifted her out of the crib and heated up her bottle.

"Your mama takes long showers," He told her as he fed her the bottle, Julie still being in the shower.

RaeLynn finished her bottled and he burped her as Julie finished up her shower. The door to the bathroom opened, but Julie was still inside putting on her makeup.

"I was wonderin' if I was gonna going to have to break in the door to make sure you didn't drown," Tim joked as he stood in the doorway with RaeLynn on his hip.

"Haha, real funny," Julie fake laughed. Tim just watched as Julie applied her makeup.

"When you get older, you'll want to wear this stuff called makeup. Your mom swears it makes her pretty, but I think she looks pretty without it. You will look pretty without it too," He told her. Julie wore a smile as she finished applying said makeup.

"You almost ready Jules?" Tami asked as she walked past the bathroom and into the kitchen.

"Yep," She answered leaving the bathroom.

"Ok, get in front of the fire place," Tami instructed digging around the living room for her camera.

"Really mom?" Julie whined.

"I have a picture of you on the first day of school ever since you were in pre-K, you don't get out of it because you are a senior."

"Okay, fine," Julie finally agreed standing before the fire place as Tami snapped her picture.

"Now hold RaeLynn for another picture," Tami instructed. Tim handed Julie their daughter and she once again stood while Tami took her picture. "I need to be leaving right now," She added, looking down at her watch. "Have fun at school," She told Julie. "Rae, have fun with your daddy," She told her granddaughter. "Eric, have a good day," She told her husband giving him a kiss on the lips. "Have a good day Tim," She added as she hurried out the door.

"Jules, I'll see you at school," Eric told his daughter as he placed his coffee cup in the sink and left.

"Bye Tim, bye RaeLynn," She told her boyfriend and daughter.

"Have a good day at school," Tim replied.

"I'll try, but I'm going to miss you two," She responded. "If you need anything, call," She told him in a serious tone.

"We will be fine, won't we Rae Rae?"

"I need to be going, bye you two," She stated with a somewhat sad smile before she walked out the door.

"It's just you and I now, Rae Rae," Tim said as he wondered what he was going to do with himself all day.

Julie drove to the newly reopened East Dillon High, the blaring red school building a stark contrast to the calm blue colored school building she had attended the past three years. She parked her car among the other student vehicles in the student parking lot. She killed the engine and grabbed her bag from the passenger seat. She took a deep breath and walked into the school building, butterflies in her stomach.

She looked at her schedule and maneuvered herself through the unfamiliar school building and to her first hour class. She entered the classroom and was disappointed to see that she knew no one.

First hour drug on, and Julie had to fight the urge to shoot Tim a text to see how his day was going. Finally, third hour rolled around and she had a class with Landry which put her anxiety about being away from her daughter at ease, and cured the loneliness she had been feeling since walking in the unfamiliar building.

Later in the school day, Julie was once again alone. The seconds felt like hours and the hours felt like years. She fumbled with her phone, telling herself Tim and RaeLynn were fine and that she didn't need to check on them. She caved and send a quick text in between classes. How's it going? She typed. Fine :), Tim replied, not going into much detail, per his usual self.

Finally, the bell rang signaling the end of the school day. Julie anxiously drove home, in a hurry to see her daughter and boyfriend.

She turned the doorknob which squeaked and entered the house. She was greeted by a living room that looked as if a tornado had gone through it, baby toys were strewn all through the room. The floorboards down the hallway creaked as Tim quietly crept inti the living room.

"She's taking her nap," He whispered.

"Looks like you two had fun," She responded with a quiet chuckle as she reached down to pick up a few toys.

"Yeah, we did," He replied with a smile. "How was your day?"

"It wasn't that bad," She answered. "But I missed you and Rae," She added as she wrapped her arms around Tim.

"We missed you too," He responded before placing a passionate kiss on her lips.
