Chapter 10, enjoy! Someone said they liked Mindy and RaeLynn's moments, so ya get some more:)

"There's my favorite niece!" Mindy Riggins squealed as Julie sat down next to her at the football game.

"Do you want to hold her?" Julie asked.

"I'd love to hold her!" She replied taking the child from Julie's arms.

"Great, she's going to have baby fever now," Billy retorted.

"Is Tim excited about his new gig?" Mindy asked.

"I think so, he was a little nervous today before the game. I think it helps that he played with most of these boys though. But I think it's also made him realize he's officially a has been."

"He's gonna do great," Mindy replied. "Are you ready to see your daddy coach?" She asked the baby in a childish voice. "And you guys found daycare for her?"

"Yeah, my mom has a friend that had an open spot in her daycare. I've been dropping her off every day before school, it's a lot harder than leaving her with Tim."

"Yeah, I bet. How's school going?"

"It's school. I'm taking a lot of college classes to hopefully get several of my hours in before I graduate that way I won't have to take so many classes in actual college," Julie answered. "That part is kind of stressful."

"Sounds like it, oh look, the game is starting!" Mindy exclaimed as the teams took the field. "Look Rae, there is your daddy!" The game began uneventful for the East Dillon Lions, the opposing team scored a quick and easy touchdown but it was obvious the Lions had improved from last week's season opener.

Around halftime, RaeLynn began to get fussy. Mindy handed the baby back to her mother in hopes that she could settle the upset infant. Julie had no success calming down her agitated daughter. This past week, RaeLynn had been rather fussy, Julie figured it was the change in schedule, or the fact that she was beginning to teeth.

"Mom, I can't get her to calm down. I think I may just head home," Julie told Tami.

"Do you want me to go with you?" Tami questioned. Julie didn't want her mom to miss the game, so she shook her head no as she gathered their things. They began making their way out of the rugged East Dillon stadium and on their way out they passed Buddy Garrity getting food from the concession stand.

"Leaving already?" He asked Julie.

"Yeah, she's getting fussy," She replied as her daughter cried in her car seat.

"Well that's too bad you can't watch Tim assist."

"Yeah," Julie replied beginning to feel awkward in the conversation and saddened by the fact that she couldn't stay and watch the game. "I should be going," She added before exiting the stadium and climbing in her car.

The car ride home was filled with unending cries. Julie was on the verge of pulling her hair out, the drive back home had never seemed so long. They finally arrived to the comfort of their home and RaeLynn settled down a bit. She rocked the baby in Eric's recliner until she was fast asleep. She gently laid the baby in her crib and prayed she stayed asleep, and she did.

Julie ventured out into the garage and retrieved the dusty radio that hadn't been used in quite a while. She channel surfed in search of a station broadcasting the East Dillon game. Sammy Mead was covering the West Dillon game, another sportscaster was covering the Arnet-Mead game, and another was covering the Westerby game, but none were commentating the East Dillon game.

Disappointed, she turned off the radio and returned it to the garage. She ended up turning Friends reruns as she sifted through a stack of mail in search for letters from colleges. Acceptance letters would be coming in the mail any day, and Julie was anxious to see if she was accepted to any colleges.

In the stack of mail, she found bill after bill. She was beginning to feel thankful she wasn't off on her own just yet. Under a stack of bills and advertisements she found a letter from UT Austin. She squealed in excitement and started to rip it open but stopped herself, she wanted to find out if she was accepted with her mom, dad, and Tim.

She took a seat in front of the TV anxiously fidgeting with the enveloped as she waited for the rest of her family to arrive home. Finally, the front door swung open and Tami entered the house.

"Did you get her settled down?" She whispered.

"Yeah, she's asleep. But guess what?"

"What?" Tami asked, confused.

"I got a letter from UT Austin!" Julie exclaimed.

"How exciting! What did it say?"

"I haven't opened it yet, I wanted to wait for you, dad, and Tim to get home."

"Tim and your dad had a big night, the boys scored a touchdown. Sure they still got blown out of the water, but they're making some real progress." Tami's words, though they weren't meant to hurt, stung. She had missed Tim's coaching debut, something she would never get to experience again.

A little while later, the door opened again and Tim and Eric let themselves in the house.

No one was able to get a word in before Tami revealed Julie's news. "Julie got a letter from UT Austin."

"What'd it say?" Tim excitedly questioned as he moved to stand beside her.

"I haven't opened it yet," She replied showing Tim the unopened envelope. She tore it opened and pulled out an official looking letter. Tim peered over her shoulder and they each skimmed the letter for information. They stopped reading at the first word: "Congratulations."

"You got in!" Tim exclaimed.

"I got in!" She squealed as Tim wrapped his arms around her

"Congratulations honey!" Coach Taylor told her.

"That's awesome hun," Tami replied.
