Chapter 11, enjoy! I am so sorry for the delay, life has been CRAZY with school starting back!

Monday's generally suck, it's just a fact. Something about having to return to work or school after two days off is really awful. Julie was having a terrible Monday and it was only 8 am.

She and Tim had nearly overslept this morning. Once they were finally up, Tim had to hurry off to open the shop leaving Julie to get herself and RaeLynn ready for the day. On top of that, Tami had to leave early for a meeting so she was unable to hep Julie out.

She had eventually gotten herself and RaeLynn dressed and out of the house. As she drove to RaeLynn's daycare she wondered if the jeans she was wearing were even clean, she knew her socks didn't match, but it was the best she could do with the time she had.

She hurried up the steps of the daycare, RaeLynn screaming in her carseat. She knocked on the door and waited for the sitter to answer.

"Someone isn't happy!" The sitter exclaimed.

"Yeah, we aren't having too good of a morning," Julie replied. She glance at a clock inside the building and realized she was almost late for first hour. "I've really got to be going. I'm sorry she's so upset."

"She'll settle down eventually," The sitter responded as Julie raced back down the stairs and to her car. As she buckled her seatbelt she could still hear her daughter's cries. I wish I could still just leave her with Tim, Julie thought as she let a tear of frustration slide down her cheek.

She began driving towards school, going to East Dillon her drive was somewhat time consuming. Nearly halfway there, the check engine light began to flash on the dash of her car.

"Shit," She muttered as she dug for her phone in her purse. She dialed Tim's number.

"Jules? Shouldn't you be at school by now?" He asked after answering the phone.

"I'm running behind and my check engine light just started flashing. I'm about to be late to school and-" She blurted out, her voice filled with frustration and tears streaming down her face.

"I'll come get you and drop you off at school then bring your car in, it will be alright."

Julie told him her location and dried her tears as she waited on him. Finally, his familiar black chevy appeared on the road. She climbed in and he drove her the rest of the way to school. After sensing her stress, he decided it was best to just be there for her and not ask questions. He dropped her off at the front doors of the school.

"Have a good day," He told her before she hurried out of the truck and into the school. Julie hustled into the school knowing good and well she was already tardy. She knocked on the door to the math room, her first hour.

"Come in," The teacher shouted, so Julie let herself in the classroom. She made her way to her seat and could feel everyone's eyes on her, as if having a kid didn't already draw enough attention to her.

The day drug on and finally it was lunchtime. She passed through the lunch line and took a tray of the so called food. After paying for her food at the end of the line, she searched the cafateria for her normaly lunch buddy, Landry.

She found Landry sitting in a corner of the lunch room with his chemistry book open.

"Forget to do your homework?" She playfully asked him.

"No, last minute studying," He replied. "Did you see the game Friday night, I scored the conversion."

"I had to leave early, RaeLynn was cranky," Julie responded, the happy mood she had transitioned into faded away at the reminder of Friday night's events.

"That's too bad, we played a good second half."

"Yeah, I heard you guys actually scored," She stated in a monotone voice as she ate the unappetizing school food.

"Are you okay?" Landry asked, sensing her change in demenor.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah," She insisted, Landry didn't believe her but decided to drop it.

"Have you gotten any letters from colleges?" He asked, changing the subject.

"I got accepted to UT Austin," She replied as she wore a proud smile.

"That's great! I also got into UT," He replied as the bell rang and they threw their trays away on their way to their next class.

Finally, last hour rolled around. The football boys all disappeared to the field house, the soccer girls to the field, and the non athletic kids to the weight room. A few students elected to take art last hour, but Julie decided to spend her time gaining college credits and took College Algebra last hour. She sat alone in the peaceful library and enjoyed the quiet as she solved equations

Just a few minutes into the class, the floor creaked and she heard muffled voices towards the front of the library. She looked up from her work to see her boyfriend walking towards her.

"Hey Jules," He whispered, being as they were in a library. "I've got your keys," He added, handing her car keys to her.

"Thanks," She whispered back.

"It's in the student parking lot."

"I'm sure I'll find it," She quietly giggled. "Thank you for being my night in shining armor this morning."

"No problem," He replied before giving her a kiss on the forehead and leaving.
