The next time Shin saw Beerus was when he turned up with the Grand Supreme Kai, having picked Buu up when the saiyans were taken home. No longer was this a planet with only the wind rustling the leaves, instead it was proof that the current Supreme Kai was successfully improving the universe, one creature at a time.

Beerus nodded with approval as he took in all the sights. There wasn't anything intelligent enough to communicate with, but that would come with time. He placed a hand on Shin's shoulder, smiling down at him.

"You've come a long way in a short time."

"I should thank you. If it wasn't for you forcing Buu to allow the Grand Supreme Kai to teach me… Well, it might have taken a little longer with only the Grand Kai."

A cat skipped over to them, stopping by Shin to rub against his leg. Beerus stared down at it, willing it to leave, but Shin crouched down to pet it.

"What's that look for? This is one of the cats I made personally, not a second generation creation."

Beerus huffed and scooped Shin up in his arms. "Cats are rather territorial. And you're mine."

The cat stared up at him for a moment before turning away with a swish of its tail.

"You're cute too sometimes," Shin said.

Balance in the seventh universe was closer to equilibrium than it had been for millions of years, and although the destroyer would never let it tip in the Supreme Kai's favour, he was very pleased to see the gap closing. The other universes had better watch out, because this pair of gods were improving in leaps and bounds.
