This is a rewrite of the old Carnivores hunting games from the 90's and 2000's. The dinosaurs will have more unusual appearances to reflect the fact that they're aliens, and some new creatures will appear here and there as well. I had a lot of fun writing this, so I hope you enjoy!

Monday, July 2100

It was a busy afternoon for DinoHunt Corp. The waiting room was full of people, all waiting for their turn at reception to be accepted into DinoHunt's new dinosaur hunting program.

One person, a young and slightly tanned man wearing large goggles, checked the time on his watch. This man's name was Andrey Nechay.

Andrey's story was similar to that of most of the people there. A trophy hunter from the Ukraine, hunting deer, wolves and bears no longer thrilled him after all these years. Then, DinoHunt Corp. offered an exciting new prospect, hunting dinosaurs, which many (Andrey included) happily accepted. Well, not exactly dinosaurs - more alien facsimiles of them.

It was about a decade since the so-called "Dinosaur Planet", FMM UV-32, was discovered by the scientific research vessel FMM UV. Upon landing on the planet, FMM UV Captain Turan Choks noted how the flora resembled that of Earth, but the animals were much more unusual - they resembled Earth's dinosaurs. News of the "Dinosaur Planet" quickly became trending news, which caught the attention of DinoHunt Corp., at the time a failing trophy hunting company on Earth named TrophyWizard Inc. Deciding to pool their money, TrophyWizard's executives bought the planet and rebranded themselves as DinoHunt Corp., spending most of the decade acquiring the necessary assets and preparing their first dinosaur hunting tour.

Suddenly, Andrey heard an automated voice say "Nechay, Andrey". "That's me," he thought. He walked over to the door and opened it before sitting in a chair in front of the receptionist's desk.

A blond man with fair skin and glasses was typing away at a computer behind the desk. He looked up and suddenly noticed Andrey sitting in front of him.

"Oh! Good afternoon, sir. Before you go on your prehistoric hunting experience, there's a few things I need you to fill out," said the receptionist.

The receptionist asked Andrey for several things that were to be expected for a hunting program. He asked him for his full name, his phone number, address, country of origin and weapon license.

At the end, however, the receptionist handed him a liability waiver.

Andrey read the waiver.

"The risks that I may face while hunting on DinoHunt Corp. property have been fully explained to me, and I understand that all risks are mine alone, as DinoHunt Corp. holds no control over the animals on their property. In the event of harm including death or dismemberment incurred while visiting DinoHunt Corp. property, I fully release DinoHunt Corp. from any responsibility, financially or otherwise, and hold only myself accountable."

Andrey looked at the waiver for a minute. He reluctantly signed it, since he wouldn't be able to hunt if he declined anyway.

"Thank you, sir," said the receptionist. "Come with me."

The man walked away from his desk and Andrey followed him to a dark room. The receptionist flicked a switch on the wall, causing several bright screens and holograms to power on.

"You are now using the DinoHunt Corp. Hunt Selector," an automated female voice said. "Please select a dinosaur, location, weapon and equipment."

"Oh! I almost forgot to give you this," the receptionist said, handing Andrey a small radio-like device. "This is a DHC Communicator. Use it to request relocation, exit from a hunt or call us if something goes wrong."

"Thanks," said Andrey.

The receptionist said "That's all for now, I'll leave you be," before exiting the room. Andrey walked over to a terminal. The sign overhead read "DINOSAURS". Pressing a button on the terminal, a blue hologram zapped into view. It was a hunched-over bipedal creature with a thick tail, three large claws on each foot, two arms with three curved claws on each hand and large eyes with small vertical slit pupils. On the back of its head was a long crest that bent at a 120-degree angle halfway. A thin membrane stretched between the bend of its crest and the base of its neck.

"Parasaurolophus", the screen read.
