Chapter 1: INTRODUCTION

"Sadness gives depth. Happiness gives height. Sadness gives roots. Happiness gives branches. Happiness is like a tree going into the sky, and sadness is like the roots going down into the womb of the earth. Both are needed, and the higher a tree goes, the deeper it goes, simultaneously. The bigger the tree, the bigger will be its roots. In fact, it is always in proportion. That's its balance."

The famous quote of Osho, who was one of the most provocative and inspiring spiritual teachers of the twentieth century, and true to his word everything in the world is balance. As you all know which just a little shift could destroy the balance and thus the whole world. That is why it has to be protected by the same being which was born by it. They are known as the Angel and the Devil. Usually, when you heard of the angel or the devil, you would think of light and darkness which continuously fighting for decades. Which is completely wrong! The angels and devils, they are just like human but with superpower and immortality.

The angels with their forgiven nature and nice personality (mostly princely type), whose special features are their beautiful pure white wings and their bright yellow halo. Their powers are mostly about healing, repairing, defending or purifying. However, there are specified angels that are known for their strictness, judgmental and punishment. The only appearance difference from others normal angels is their colorful wings (mostly bright color) but they still have the angel's signature bright yellow halo.

Next is the devils with their quick to temper, stubbornness, hot-head and mischievous nature, they carry out harsher judgments or the worst punishments and always the first line attackers of every battles. Their distinguished appearances are their dark bat like wings and two long dark horns on their head. The longer (or the curvier) the horns are, the more powerful they are.

They are the balance of the world's children whose duty is to protect their creator. Even so, there are always someone who would bite the hand that fed them. So, there are some ways to take away the power of those bad children that are by breaking the halo for the angles or the horns for the devils. Another way is use a special chain to restraint their wings which could detain their power. The more chains on their wings the more extreme their crime are and with enough chain could make the immortal being's body to shut down and loss consciousness. They could not be killed by anything not even by their own hands that is also why they always in a group of their immortal friends and rarely interact with anything mortal to maintain their sanity. Lots of angles and devils have broken that rule and given birth a forbidden magic which the human called necromancy and of course only the special beings could use it successfully without losing their life. However, there is a myth among the angles and devils, it is about the strongest being, even stronger than the king of all beings the true ruler of the world, could kill them easily. 'The being' can kill anything from normal human to angels, devils as well as the king himself like killing a helpless fly. Legend said 'the being' was the reason for the "Omega" incidence. The "Omega" incidence was the first time ever that the balance of the world was tilted by a group of beings that stupidly thought that the balance was nothing but a cowardly thinking of the older being generation. They had fought long and hard and when the balance finally tipped to their favor that was when they understood the important of it as the world was nearly destroyed. Humans, angels, devils, animals or non-living things was quickly killed and destroyed one by one, non could survived nor stop the force that killing them. Bodies were dropping and litter the grounds like pile of blood red snow, trees rocks flowers were wilting and breaking into nothingness as the sky above was dyed in deep red. When hope was lost and desperate was all they could feel, the king of all sacrificed himself to save the world and restored the balance. The one who had done the deed was non-other than 'the being'. That is also the reason why the throne has been emptied to this very moment also none could really know for sure if the rumor was true or just a made up story for the "Omega" incidence because the survivors of that incident were either too young or too terrified to re-lived the tale. So, is 'the being' true or a myth is just a myth? To this day, there is still no answer to that question.

After all that, you will wonder where are the angel and the devil come from and why they still haven't selected their king yet! To answer the first question, those beings have always come from mortality. (NANI?!) If this was your reaction, then please reread this chapter again from the beginning. "The angel and devil, they are like human but with superpower and immortality." It is mean that they are human or once was. The new born angel or devil is born into the world through human being and they are called "The New One". They are normal just like any other human being except for their ability to see those special beings by their original form (with their halo or horns and wings). "The New One" will have to live the life of the human for nearly 85 to 90 years then they will shear their human form into the most comfortable form or being of their own either angel or devil. Not to mention, there is a time between each "The New One" birth, they have to at least 100 years apart. However, "The One" (the soon to be king) is born every 1000 years, he/she will just like "The New One" they will able to see the true form of the special beings but with a special gift that is the ability to see the past and future of everyone which shown by the ownership of heterogeneous eyes. None could hide anything from him/her or lie to him/her, "the absolute eye". To be clear, not anyone could be born to be "The One" and hardly anyone can live long enough to become the King. "The One" will be watched and tested by the very beings that they will rule over when they shear their human form. If he/she doesn't meet ALL the requirement of a king, they will be killed in cold blood by those beings. Well, they cannot have a lunatic with overpower running loose now, can they? (but sadly that is what every supposed to be king's personality are born with!) That is why over millennium of years, the throne still empty without a suitable ruler. But now, at an expensive hospital room, a child is born. He has bright red hair just like his father and he doesn't cry like any other children yet he could breathe normally. When his mother holds him in her arm, the child opens his eyes which shock everyone in the room. Why?

This year, "The One" has been born, could finally this be the King they have been waiting for, could this be the one that could claim the empty throne after all these years! Only time can tell. Watch out world! Another spoiled and arrogant baby king is coming!
