A/N- Had to find a way to bring Ginny in early!

During dinner Harry received a letter from Ginny.

Dear Harry,

I do hope you are also back? Otherwise this letter will not make

Any sense and I'll look like quite a nut. Things have been weird all

day, waking up as a 10 year old girl isn't exactly pleasant…

I was reading Hogwarts, A History, (Wipe that look off your face Potter!)

I can try to come to Hogwarts early, I've already owled Professor McGonnagall

about this, I would just have to take the advanced placement exams,

I'd never heard of this before, and I'm quite positive I'll be successful.

Hopefully see you soon and then we can talk about our next steps.

Ginny

Harry passed the letter to Hermione with a grin, "I'm surprised you didn't try to start early, Hermione."

She rolled her eyes. "You're forgetting I'm a muggleborn, I didn't even know magic was real until summer before I turned eleven, and McGonagall didn't take me to get my supplies until summer before term started."

"You knew about magic for almost a year before you got any of your books?" Ron asked wide eyed. "Blimey, that must have been awful for you."

She shrugged, "I'm over it now, but it was awful when it happened. I just wanted to learn more, but I had no resources, that's not important right now! Ginny is coming early!"

Harry smiled, it had only been less than a day since he saw Ginny last, but now things were different, and he couldn't wait a second longer to see her. He wondered what their relationship would be like here now, obviously the eleven year old and ten year old couldn't be in a serious relationship publicly, the public outcry would be disastrous, but they could find ways around that.

After dinner he sat down to write his reply to Ginny.

Dear Ginny,

Things aren't the same without you here, I do hope you're

Able to come to school early, I can't go a year without you.

What does your mum say about you wanting to come early?

Bet she isn't too happy.

Only one inconsistency since we've arrived, I'll explain in person

It's not safe for letters, we need to remember that.

When will you take your exams?

Harry

He sent the letter off with Hedwig, watching her fly away into the night, then he turned to Ron and Hermione. They were practically alone in the common room, but Hermione put a silencing spell around them just in case.

"I think my Horcrux is gone, well not my Horcrux but you know." He tapped his forehead. "My scar didn't hurt this time when Quirrell was around, not even when he turned his head and Voldemort was facing me."

"What does that mean for us?" Ron asked.

"Well, the positive side being Harry doesn't have to die again." Hermione said rolling her eyes.

"I don't know if I can still talk to snakes…" Harry mumbled, "if the chamber of secrets gets opened again next year, I don't know what I'll do."

"You could always teach yourself, mate."

"What do you mean?"

"It's a language, you spoke the language for years, I'm sure you could figure it out, like muscle memory and all that." Ron said eager to be helpful.

"He's right, you might not be able to understand the snakes completely, but it's for sure worth a shot." Hermione smiled. "I mean, Ron was able to learn how to say 'open'" She took his hand in hers and smiled again.

A/N- Ginny should be making an appearance next chapter!
