The flames were all around me. The ground was scorched black. The flames were bright orange, and I couldn't tell where they were coming from. They were closing in on me, but I couldn't move, I couldn't speak. I could only watch as they grew closer. Eventually they had engulfed me. I could feel the clothes I was wearing burn off of me, but the flames didn't hurt me. They just wrapped around me. I just stared forward before a pair of glowing red eyes appeared in the flames. They just stared at me, growing larger as they grew closer. The flames split as the eyes took shape and a Charmeleon came out of the flames. "Apollon?" The Charmeleon nodded before coming closer to me. It licked my face, before looking in my eyes. There was something there in his eyes that I just couldn't place. He just stared back at me. Watching me. It was unnerving. It made me feel weird. The last thing I saw was Apollon opening his maw and unleashing a torrent of lames at me.

I shot up; my body covered in sweat. The cool air in my room a sharp contrast than the lingering heat on my skin. I looked around. Zeus was lightly snoring at the foot of the bed. Viridios' larger body barely fit in his hammock, but he was still sleeping as well, his hands were behind his head and his legs were crossed, damn he even slept cool. Sobek was also in his kiddie pool his head was barely sticking out of the water. The two weren't really hurt besides a couple of bruises and scratches. They were more tired than anything. Isis was lying to my right, she needed tons rest, her mental energy had been pushed to the max. Nurse Joy had said she'd need to rest for a least 12 hours a day for the next couple of days. Selene was asleep in a makeshift nest that she placed on top of a drawer. Her wing was fractured and wrapped in a cast, and she wouldn't be able to fly for a few weeks. Selene was pissed about it, but if she followed the treatment plan it would be healed in the next month or so. Hana was curled up next to Zeus, the two of them were getting awfully close. Hana had bandages wrapped around her torso. What I thought was a small graze ended up being a grinded cut and her right lung had been punctured. After the emergency surgery she was cleared and almost completely fixed. The Ditto cells used had merged with and replicated her own. She wouldn't be able to battle for at least four months. Yoru had been the worst off. His back was broken, and he had a concussion, his surgery while successful didn't allow for him to come home with us. He'd be at the Pokemon center in Aspertia for the next 8 weeks and wouldn't be able to battle for the next six months.

Apollon was to the right of me laying on my bed his tail flame burning softly. The flame-retardant blanket keeping us all from burning to death. His eyes were closed and the slow rise and fall of his back was my only indication that he was alive. I stared at him; the dream fresh in my mind. He was an anomaly; he was supposed to be dead. Nurse Joy had been dumbfounded when she had heard about him being buried beneath a pile of rubble. Apollon was perfectly fine. Not a single injury was on his body, and his evolution while premature and highly volatile, didn't cause any type of injury. It was strange. After looking at him for a few more minutes, I closed my eyes. The flames didn't return.

"So dear Christopher, let me ensure I understand what you're telling us. You, Emily, Emmett and Troy caught wind of an attack on our estate facilitated by the wild Pokemon from the North. You decided to bring your fresh, untrained, inexperienced little sister to the battlefield. You then decided to leave her defended by a Shiftry and a Weavile, who instead of being in the clearing with her were in the surrounding forest, focusing on stragglers and not her. You allowed what you called "weaker" Pokemon which included fully evolved Fearow, Mightyena, Beedrill, Watchog and Zebstrika to get close to her. You let my daughter defend herself with a Pseudo Dragon whose Moxie is untested, four completely untrained Pokémon, one of which is a part of the Mind Trio who imprinted on her in a high stress situation. Then you let her catch three Pokemon two are known for being highly aggressive and the last being highly intelligent. Finally, somehow, Chris got caught up fighting a pair of mated Hydreigon, Emily you had to battle a Bisharp pack, Emmett had to fight a Tyranitar, and Troy was nowhere to be seen, leaving my baby girl whose had no training to fight a FUCKING RHYDON!"

I held my head down. Me and my older siblings were sitting at our dinner table. Our dads had gotten home the next day and Nurse Joy had informed them of our little camping trip, they were not pleased to say the least. This was the first time I had ever heard my father curse and I could feel his anger rolling off in waves. "I'm not a baby…" I muttered. My dad whipped his head towards me the sharp glare he sent me paralyzed me. It was like staring at a hungry Arbok.

"I thought so." He turned to Chris.

"I'm sorry Dad. I just wanted her to get some experienced. I should've done more. I'm sorry Diana, I put your Pokemon at harm, with my recklessness."

"Same, we should have made sure you were protected. I'm sorry as well."

"Sorry sis, I should've told them to focus on you."

"Whatever, it's not like she's dead." Our heads all turned to Troy. From the old Diana's memories, I saw that her and Troy had a strained relationship. In fact, now that I realize it, ever since he came back after his league loss, he had picked up a really nasty attitude. He was rude, cold, and dismissive toward everyone but especially me. As far as I could tell the old Diana, had already known about his disdain for her and chose to ignore it, but I wasn't her and I wasn't going to be the bigger person. I glared at him with contempt, it would've made an Arbok green with envy.

"What the fuck was that shitty brother? Did the most worthless, pathetic, useless piece of hot shit say something? I didn't know league rejects had a voice at this table." His red face was my only reply. He was probably hoping his harsh expression would cause me to explode, the tension rising and the temperature falling.

"This is what I'm talking about, this spoiled fucking princess thinks she can do whatever she wants. She thinks she knows everything, news flash you don't know shit. You're lucky your baby Pokemon evolved too or else, we might've been saying this at their funeral." The way he spat out the word baby didn't sit right with me, but it was the look on his face tha really pissed me off. It was like he was gloating at our pain. I wouldn't fucking stand for it. I may not care what you say about me, but I damn sure care about what is said about my Pokemon.

"What the hell! You were willing to let my Pokemon die for what? Jealousy? A grudge? They're my fucking team! How could you be such a fucking bastard! Go to hell, you degenerate piece of fucking shit."

"Whatever. You're lucky I only let that Rhydon through and not any of the oth-" The temperature instantly dropped. The air around us felt like it was below freezing.

"You. Did. What?" We all turned to my father. There was a navy glow around him, wisps, flowing off in waves. I couldn't tell if the energy was just me projecting or if he was actually manifesting it, but it had me scared shitless.

"I-I-I-I-I I just mean she's ne-ne-ne-never had to st-st-st-st-struggle. So, I-I-I-I-I" he didn't even get to finish. If before it felt like the temperature was below freezing, now it felt like the temperature was absolute zero. The dark aura around my Father had only grown and his eyes were glowing a dark blue that could put fear in the eyes of death.

"Go upstairs get your things and get out."

"Fa-"

"Get. Out" Troy just stood there shocked, before heading up the steps and disappearing from view, but not before giving me one last hateful look. I felt sorry for him.

"Chris, Twins, stay out of my sight for the next few weeks unless you wanna get kicked out too." The three of them instantly left looking to do anything other incur more of his wrath.

"Father… I'm sorry."

"It wasn't your fault." His sigh was long and exasperated as if he didn't believe what he said, at least not entirely. "I'm sorry for scaring you. Let's go see a movie, okay?"

"Yeah, sure… I think I need that."

I would never look at my father the same way after that.

6 Months Later

Walking, down the hallways of Aspertia High, Hana sitting on my shoulder while Yoru and Zeus were walking next to me, as we went toward my English class. Our school allows us to have three approved non-aggressive Pokemon with us during the day, as long as they behaved, and we could control them. They were super well behaved and didn't mind the noise or mass of bodies surrounding them. Noting I forgot my writing journal I stopped at my locker, opened it and pulled out two Basculin fillet for Yoru and Zeus who ate them eagerly. Hana didn't like the taste of Basculin, so I made sure to grab her berry bowl before I grabbed the notebook and shut the door. Yoru and Zeus made short work of the meat before we continued to class, the red liquid around their lips making my non trainer classmates a little wary.

I chuckled, if this scared them then it made sense why Apollon, Viridios, Sobek and Selene got denied. As we entered class, I noticed a new student sitting in my unassigned assigned seat. Who the fuck did he think he was? I walked over to him. "Hey, excuse me, I'm Diana, do you mind moving that's kind of my seat." He turned to me and just stared. He was big, his muscles threatened to rip right out of his black shirt and his blue jeans looked just as tight. His spikey black hair was messy in an artistic way. His eyes landed on mine, they were a golden amber and were incredible bright, matching his necklace and watch. His gaze was smoldering, he unnerved me greatly. He was so unnervingly bright. His eyes bore into my own as if trying to convey something to me. He felt… similar.

"A009/A006" our ids coming out the others mouth simultaneously. We were both shocked. He got out of the seat and moved to the one behind me

Sitting in my seat I made sure to not even glance at him, focusing solely on the board in front of me. As my teacher started the lesson, I couldn't get the black-haired boy out of my head. Where had he come from? Why was he here? What did he want from me? I was broken out of my thoughts by the sound of snarling. I looked down to see Yoru snarling and hissing aggressively at the man. His Woobat was peering down at my crocodilian with venom in its eyes.

"Young lady, control that mon or return it your choice" came the stern voice of my teacher, his gaze directly on my Yoru.

"Yoru stop it." I chastised quietly. Yoru didn't stop though, so I pointed his pokeball at him and returned him. My teacher nodded at me before continuing the lesson. I decided to actually pay attention to the lesson. As I took down my notes, I began to feel a pressure in my head. I've felt this before. It's the same feeling I get when Isis is trying to enter my mind. Something was trying to invade my inner thoughts. Whatever it was, was in for a nasty surprise. I sent Yoru back out, instantly I felt his territory in my mind become filled and he once again started hissing and snarling.

A006 must've not have had two of the Mind Trio types, so he probably didn't even know how they worked. Dark, Ghost, and Psychic, also known as the Mind Trio. Psychics dealt with the logical, and manipulate the things that were tangible, and real. They were often known for their immense intelligence and ability to shape the forces around. If Psychics dealt with the logical than Ghost dealt with the illogical. Ghost dealt with the ability to distort reality and bend it in ways that shouldn't be possible. Their energy conflicted with everything around them giving them the ability to simply exist within two different spaces at the same time. Their energy if left unchecked would corrode everything around them. It was why all ghost specialists were said to have some fatal flaw, some part of their mind having been eroded. They were super effective against Psychics for this very reason. They literally corrode their core energy killing them. Finally, the most powerful of the three, Dark types. Dark types were unlike Psychics and Ghost because they manipulated the absence of reality. They shaped the void and used it to empower themselves. Their energy devoured the other two without bias. They shrouded themselves in the unknown. Their energy turn positivity into negativity which is why they fared so well against the two. For trainers the phenomenon of the Mind Trio affected us differently.

Psychic types gained access to the portion of our minds that dealt in logic and focused on mental ability. They occupied and enhanced are logical connection. This is why most Psychic trainers were considered genius or preternatural. Their knowledge being enhanced to the point that they are able to calculate variables and predict the future or communicate by manipulating their own brain waves. However, it came with a few risks. The first is that the stronger ones Psychic talents, the more detached the person became from their emotions, instincts, and and imagination. It's why most Psychic types and their trainers are referred to as emotionless. The second is the more dangerous, Psychics valued strategical thinking, amount of knowledge, mental fortitude, and the ability to detach emotion during battle. Any trainer worth their salt knew that if they captured a Psychic type and opened their mind to it then that they had to hold these principals in some extent, and that if their Psychic felt they could not they would take over and destroy their trainers mind in an attempt to rebuild them. Luckily this only happened in very few species such as, Alakazam, Metagross, Zen Darmanitan, Delphox, Malamar, and Orangurus. These were some of the most powerful Psychic types around and they ensured they were only to be trained by the best. They were the most abundant of Mind Trio specialists though as most of them knew to stay away from the most powerful of Psychics. Even Emily a renown psychic trainer described as a prodigy knew not to take these Pokemon lightly. Her Alakazam and Delphox having challenged her multiple times. For me I didn't think I would capture anymore Psychics, Isis was currently bonded to my logical mind and had set up barriers so that others could not enter.

Ghost types gained access to the space in our mind devoted to imagination. They enhanced our creativity and enhanced it as well. Many of the greatest artist, writers, musicians and dancers could be seen with at least three ghost types in their party. This boon in creativity was great except ghost were naturally made of the distortion. They distort their trainers mind and corrode it until the lose all sanity. Ghost types stay with their trainers so that they can corrupt them enough so that they too become ghost after death or until they absorbed their souls. Most Ghost trainers either somehow find a way to deal with the corrosion, develop some extreme character flaw that the League calls a Madness Trait or kill themselves. Most kill themselves. Decidueye, Dusknoir, Aegislash, Spiritomb, Cofagrigus, Froslass, and Sableye were known for corrupting a trainer's mind to the point of death. Only few could handle them and while I was interested in training one, I wasn't in any rush.

Dark types gained access to a section in our mind devoid of thoughts. They dealt solely on emotions and instinct. They enhanced our instinct, anger, jealous, lust, desire, battle lust, fear, sadness, loneliness and pain and turned that into power. Dark Types thrive in negativity. Most of the dark type specialist were people who embraced the negativity in their hearts. They used it as a weapon, and they didn't care who they used it on as long as they won. The only downside to this was that they made you a void if you lack enough negativity. Dark types only followed those who accepted and understood darkness. Yoru occupied the space in my mind that dealt with my negativity and instincts. Battling with him was easy, I wasn't a cheery person in this life or my past, so he had plenty of negativity to work with. Unlike Isis his dark manipulation wasn't to the point where he could shield that space of my mind, which is why when that Swoobat started shifting around his territory he got angry.

"YOUNG LADY RETURN THAT POKEMON NOW OR GET THE HELL OUT MY CLASS!" yelled my teacher. I smirked at the man; oh, class was in for a show.

"Oh, I would, Prof asshole, however the other asshole in the class, the one behind me well his Woobat is trying to enter my mind, such a fucking invasion of privacy. Unfortunately, it must've not had been trained for shit because the little shit stain couldn't get into my psychic Pokémon's territory, so in an attempt to invade my privacy he started poking around Yoru's home. Now I would recall the little shit, but this fucker is just gonna try and read my mind and frankly Yoru and I aren't comfortable with that shit. Right, Yo-ru?" Yoru's increased snarling did wonders for my performance.

"Hmph. Sorry sweetheart, Woobat isn't completely understanding of the idea of privacy, and he likes to read the minds of girls with nice asses" I jumped out of my seat, ready to beat the hell out of this asshole. Nathan just looked up at me never breaking eye contact and sporting a smug smirk, while he returned his Pokemon. I sat back down and patted Yoru's head calming him down, however his gaze never left the trainer. "Also, I don't know about the other asshole, but my name isn't asshole, it's Nathan, gorgeous. Don't worry about remembering it now, I'll have you screaming it out loud in a few nights." He finished with a wink. I got ready to swing before my idiot teacher coughed loudly.

"Well, Nathan and Diana, since the two of you seemed to have resolved your issues with each other, and I'm such an asshole. I'm letting the both of you get out of my class in fact both of you can go to the office." Oh fuck. I didn't even get to punch him.

"You called your teacher an asshole." My father despite his busy work schedule was somehow able to come pick me up. After getting a 1-day suspension and having Yoru's walking permission revoked for a month. They had written me up and told my father the whole story and let's just say he wasn't happy…

"Yes."

"Good." Huh "How dare that incompetent fool allow my daughter's mind to be invaded like such, and then to be sexually harassed. These idiots. I should sue them." I did not expect that. We continued on, walking out the building before we stopped when we saw Nathan and who I assumed was his father standing outside. His father looked at me with creepy and disgustingly leery eyes. He was shorter than his son by about half a foot. He was also very stocky his beer gut threatening to pop out his shirt at a moment's notice. His shit beard was unkempt and looked horrendous. He also had a beer can in his hand. Great a fucking hillbilly.

"What do you want asshole?" Cue the return of his fucking shit smirk.

"Aww don't be like that sweetheart." The temperature in the air dropped, I could feel my father's anger growing. By the looks of it, Nathan could feel it too. His dad just stood there eyeing my father intensely. "Look I really think you and I got off on the wrong foot, I think we can get past this little incident. If you got to know me, you'd see I'm not that bad, in fact a date would probably change your opinion of me, especially with what I got planned at the end, though your dad's opinion of me would probably plummet. Whaddya say beautiful" I can't believe him he really had the nerve to fucking ask me out in front of my father. Giving him the harshest glare, I could I realized something wasn't right. Looking in his eyes I saw, fear, rejection, loneliness, pleading.

"My daughter will have nothing to do with a scound-"

"Watch it fag." We all turned to Nathan's father, his gruff voice sounding exactly how'd you expect. "Yeah, I know who you are faggot, opened all those damn stores, ran my family outta business. Bet you don't remember me though. Too bad I could never forget the asshole who ended my trainer career."

"THE HELL DID YOU SAY!" No one, and I mean no one was gonna discriminate against my father in front of me.

"You heard me bitch. Why don't you just shut the fuck up and go make a sandwich for my nephew or something. As for you faggot, teach yer daughter how to act like a proper woman and not interrupt when men are talking."

"YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE! I'LL SHOW YOU A PROPER FUCKING WOMAN!" I started reaching for my Pokeball before my dad calmly gripped my shoulder and stepped in front of me.

"Pierce Rayleigh. You and I battled in Kanto during my last year of active training. You challenged me during the battle festival of St Kyuma Island. You used a Hydreigon, Excadrill, Zebstrika, Haxorus, Druddigon and Conkledurr. You were Unova's rising star at the time and thought that in my age I would be slightly weaker and if you defeated me, you'd move on to the global scene." Suddenly it felt as if gravity increased and I could barely breathe, Nathan seemed to be affected as well as I saw him dropped to his knees, Pierce just stood there sweating profusely. My father's voice then took on a coldness I never knew it could. "I used my Aggron, Brutus and he ended up killing the Excadrill, Hydreigon, Haxorus, Druddigon and Conkledurr, only leaving you the Zebstrika to flee right?"

"How dare you talk about their deaths so casually you fa-"

"I killed them because you attacked me, but I digress it doesn't matter. You insulted me; I didn't care. You insulted my daughter, and well now, I must show you your place. Leave now or Brutus finishes the job."

"You want a battle faggot; I'll give you a ba-"

"Shut up." Everyone's heads turned to Nathan. "I'm sorry about my uncle he shouldn't have said anything to you. Fat bastard's just upset he can't beat you or see past his gut." His uncle scowled at him but shut his trap... weird. "Look, Diana I've never been the guy who knew how to talk to women. As you can see my family isn't the best at talking to women who aren't raised by hicks. I do want to take you out, but I was so intimidated by you I resorted to be an ass cause it's all I know. Can we truly actually start over?" That same begging look was in his eyes, it was like looking at someone who need to be saved, like looking at me in the past.

"No" my father answered, well tried to answer for me. Before taking my hand and almost basically dragging me to our car. The entire time we were walking I looked into Nathan's eyes. I was searching for something in them, whether it be the truth, his feelings or his soul I didn't know. As we got pass them and to our car, I stopped at the door to look in his eyes one last time. His amber eyes stared at mine pleading with me, begging to show me the real him. I found what I was looking for.

"When two trainer's paths cross, something new is born. Whether it's good or bad is to be determined but it can only be found on the battlefield. It is there where intentions, truths, and and the soul are bare and open for both trainers see. It is there in which we reveal who we are and what we can become" Everyone was looking at me.

"Cynthia Shirona, the Champion with the longest reign, the queen of trainers, the Pinnacle." I was shocked, Nathan knew of Lady Shirona.

"Friday. After school, you and I will battle. 6 on 6. Show me who you are Nathan and show me who you want to become. If you can win, I'll let you take me on a date, if you cannot then whatever I decide for us will be what will happen."

My father was silent the entire way home. When we pulled into the driveway, he locked the door, and stared at me intently. I lowered my head, shit I really fucked this up. "You disappointed me Diana… However, I understand this is your choice. You have four days until your battle, you will spend them training your six. I will be attending, and I hope to see whatever it is you caught a glimpse of. Now get out so your dad can scream at you, he's pissed." Great.

After getting yelled at by my dad for about an hour, I went outside where I met my entire team. Ever since our camping trip they had gotten more mature in a sense. Apollon was still the stoic, always guarding me whenever I was near him. He also became more vicious and savage, his battle style becoming more aggressive. I wasn't worried though, unlike most trainers with a Charmeleon, mine hadn't developed the adolescent teenage rage, he's completely normal which is weird in and of itself. He was the leader of my team without a doubt. Viridios his lieutenant was also basically the same. He was somehow always cool, calm, and collected. He tended to be my little speed demon and was quick to mow through the weaker opponents so that he could reach the second strongest, always challenging Apollon the strongest (As you can guess Apollon never minded). Sobek was still a little goofy but became deadly serious during battles. He was the tank of the team launching and receiving powerful attacks. They were considered as the Big Three of my team. They were easily my best battlers and they've never let me down when it comes to battle.

Isis became my spoiled little princess, she hated going anywhere incredibly packed and had to be damn near professionally groomed every two days. My little shit was an excellent battler though, her technical prowess exceeded even Viridios. Zeus and Yoru were almost the exact same mons both excelling in quick smaller attacks and devastating large scale attacks. When not battling the two could always be seen together either pranking my family members or lounging around just relaxing. Ironhide hated them and made it his job to intercept any and all of their pranks which he never seemed to be able to do. Probably because Yoru was always out of his Psychic Vision. Selene was a pretty normal mon. She trained and got along pretty well with everyone she met. Her battle style was a long series of quick hits and one decisive strike. She was good at it too. Her calm demeanor was nice for me. I loved it when she perched on my shoulder, and we could just relax. Finally, there was Hana, my other princess. She was my playful darling girl and I loved her with all of my heart. Hana was also able to adapt to battle. She loved mimicking the others and switching between their styles and it seemed to fit her.

After battling Rhydon we had trained and participated in amateur battles before I could get my license. All of my team had performed admirably and learned a few new moves in the process. We were ready to at least challenge the first three gyms in Kanto at this point. Snapping out of my thoughts I looked at my team they were each staring back intently.

"Alright y'all for the few days were gonna be training I have to battle this guy on Friday and it's important that we fight full force. Big Three you're already in rotation, Isis and Yoru you two are also battling. I haven't decided between Hana or Selene yet but that's why we're training. Isis, I want you to spar with Sobek. Sobek do what you do best tank and destroy. Isis stop him. Whatever you gotta do, do it. I want you to increase your power output and by constantly draining and expelling more energy you'll be forced to grow your reserves. Go, I'll check on you later." The two quickly went to my left to begin training. Hana looked a little jealous seeing as Sobek was her bestie and training partner, but Isis needed him more at the moment.

"Viridios, take Yoru and stay in close. Yoru were gonna practice proper countering. You can dodge decently and take a solid hit so were gonna be combining Viridios' style with Sobek's. I want you to either take the hit and clamp on to opponents or hit em right before they hit you. Viridios, I want you to battle at close distances. You've mastered hit and run, now I want you to start pressing your advantage, you'll be a beast. Go I'll check on y'all later." The two left quickly, eager to start.

"Zeus, Selene you guys are gonna work exclusively on landing meaningful blows. You guys tend to just attack until you hit. Well now I want you to work on timing. Selene, you go in fast, hard, and/or reckless you get shocked. Zeus you are launching indiscriminately gets you tired, and you become easy pickings. I want to rectify that. If I see you start to regress, I'll force you to run laps. Go." I could tell by the dirty looks they were sending me that they weren't happy they were the only ones getting a punishment, but I didn't care.

"Hana, you get the pleasure of battling Apollon. Apollon go nuts. Hana survive." Hana looked at me with pleading eyes before Apollon roughly grabbed her by her scruff and took her to where they'd be training.

I never thought my first big battle with screaming fans watching would occur while I was in high school and against another player of the reincarnation game but here, we are. At my high school's makeshift battleground, surrounded by over 300 screaming people each calling for an exciting battle. After my suspension on Monday, rumors about the event had spread and somehow grown way out of proportion. Apparently, a simple bet for a date turned into a bet where if I lost, I had to have sex with Nathan all night & if I won, he'd become my slave and walk around with a leash. Ridiculous.

As I stood across from Nathan, I couldn't see the boy begging for help, but a man prepared for battle. It was kinda hot to be honest. The thud in my head from Hide quickly shut that notion down. My dads were on the sideline both looking at me intently, this was my first real battle and I had to prove myself.

"Trainers here are the rules, this will be a six-on-six match with two substitutions each, held items are not permitted either. Understood?" We nodded both wanting to start the battle. "BEGIN!"

"Selene your up first!" Whatever he sends out Selene would easily out speed. Across the field is a small weasel like mon with jet black fur, sharp white claws, and a not so menacingly looking feather. "Selene it's a Sneasel an ice/dark type, create distance now!"

"Ice Shard" A high speed shot of ice shot at the ascending Selene just barely missing. "Wait it out, Tranquill are weak at long range you can outrun it & out match it."

Oh yeah, we'll see about that. "Selene, Quick Attack then switch to Blade Mode" My little pheasant took of in a blinding streak of white directly at the little imp, before Sneasel could counter though she changed her attack into Steel Wing & knocked the ice rat back several yards. "FUCK YEAH! Alright keep it up Selene!" She did so a few more times each one dealing damage but she was getting slower, after one particular hit where Sneasel was able to clip her with a nasty Slash, I noticed it. Ice was on her wings. Time to do something about it.

"Shadow, she's to slow to dodge it use, Icy Wind" A powerful gust of cold icy wind hit Selene directly causing her to shriek in pain, but we weren't done yet.

"Heat Wave" Those two simple words changed everything as a massive heat wave melted not only the Icy Wind but also the ice on her wings. The Sneasel, couldn't withstand it and went down for good.

"Thank you for your service." Was all I heard as he returned his Sneasel, the spectators were going crazy but to me they had might as well not had been there. His next mon was a legitimate threat an Electabuzz. Bipedal, yellow & black furred beast. It stared at me menacingly before releasing a Shock Wave that knocked Selene clear out before I even issued a command.

"Claim victory, Viridios!" Viridios wasted no time boosting his speed with Agility and then dodging a Thunderbolt. "Stick to close range, unless you notice a widespread attack." Viridios shot off using Fury Cutter to increase attack power while simultaneously dodging Ice & Fire Punch.

"Clear it away" Electabuzz & Nathan must have gotten sick of close combat because the Discharge it released pushed Viridios back far enough to give them time for a Light Screen set up effectively stopping us in our tracks. The yellow barrier of light surrounding the lightning troll was going to be a major problem. We couldn't use long range attacks to maximum effect, and I doubt that they were letting us close the gap. Viridios was patiently waiting, while Electabuzz was panting, Discharge, Light Screen and their close combat exchange must have worn it out. Hmph, if it's a war of attrition he wants then he'll get it.

"Blast it away." Viridios didn't have to wait for my command, immediately dodging the beam of electricity, launched by the overgrown generator. Fuck. Charge Beam boosts the calcium generation in the body to increase special attacks. The longer it used that move, the stronger it would get, and since it wasn't a taxing move, we would be here for a while. Viridios let loose a painful screech, he'd been hit. Falling to one knee, I knew we couldn't take another hit.

"Agility, then Quick Attack, then multi Power-Up Punch, break through that barrier!" I knew it was a long shot, but this combo got us 6 hits on average in training, time to put it too the test. The Electabuzz launched Charge Beams at the green gecko, but with its speed enhanced three stages, & a temporary Quick Attack boost it was just too slow. Suddenly it stopped though, and just stood there charging its energy. Right when Viridios was about to punch the barrier, with a war cry, the yellow bastard released a massive Thunderbolt. The amber lightning bolt charging at my partner at point blank range. "GET THE FUCK OUT OF THERE!" Even though I thought it was futile, I could only pray he'd listen & somehow dodge the attack, however what happened next surprised everyone. He punched it… With a blazing fist of orange aura, Viridios punched the Thunderbolt forcing it to stop in it's tracks as the two moves attempted to overcome one another. Viridios was sweating though he couldn't keep it up much longer at this point. "BARRAGE!" The ensuing barrage of orange fist started, slowly becoming faster than most people could see. Each hit made him stronger while also holding back the Thunderbolt. Electabuzz however wasn't fazed and just up the voltage increasing its power output.

"A PASSIONATE STALEMATE FOLKS! BOTH POKÉMON GIVING LAYING IT ALL ON THE LINE. WHO WILL GIVE OUT FIRST, GROVYLE'S BODY OR ELECTABUZZ STAMINA!?" For the first time during the whole battle, the commentator's words reached my ears, unfortunately I already knew the answer, Viridios' body. Constantly using moves outside it's typing, hasn't been helping and I had a feeling he was taking a minimal amount of damage with each punch.

"Sideste-" What happened next would be talked about for weeks, green electricity began coating Viridios hands, mixing with the orange energy of Power-Up Punch.

Viridios has learned Thunder Punch

"What the fuck" with one charged up punch Viridios broke through the Thunderbolt & Light Screen forcing Electabuzz back several. The crowd was going wild. Taking off Viridios slammed an Energy Ball into the yellow nuisance face before jumping back to my side having KO'd the opposing mon.

"INCREDIBLE DID THAT GROOVY GROVLYE JUST CUT THROUGH THUNDERBOLT WITH A THUNDER PUNCH!?" The crowd was going wild, but my concern was on my green baby, he was on one knee, panting, he didn't have much more left in him. Recalling, him I stared at his ball, I knew he'd be pissed but the last thing he needed was to overexert himself.

"Lairon, battle stance" the six-legged, steel plated, monstrosity took the field. It made a low gritting sound, the deep vibration issuing a challenge.

"Yoru, rip the fucking bastard to shreds" my little sand crocodile, burst on the field, growling menacingly fangs bare to the world. The quadrupedal menace of the desert was always eager to get a match.

"Lairon, Flash Cannon" The steel covered beast, charged up and launch a silver beam of metallic energy at my little menace. I didn't even need to issue the command as my croc barely dodged, burrowing quickly underground. This was our element. With three taps of my foot and a swipe a giant pitfall of sand started to form around Lairon and drag him into the center. Ant Lion. A move I'd read about, originating from a trainer from Kanto, I forgot his name, but he was the strongest challenger of the time and said technique had come in handy during his Indigo League tournament. Lairon however didn't even seem bothered, even as it got closer to the now exposed and flaming jaws of Yoru. "Counter strike" The fuck did he say?

Lairon's front leg rose into the air before taking on an orange glow. Rock Smash. The super effective attack made a loud cracking sound as it was slammed into my desert croc. Yoru was pissed, its maw lit alight with an even stronger flame as it regained its bearings and clamped down on the side of Lairon puncturing its steel armor and burning its side. The resulting screech was deafening & horrifying, the sound of grating metal and pain rang out across the field. Lairon eventually began to regain its bearings and began slamming Rock Smashes on Yoru's head using its bulky tail. Yoru wouldn't be able to take much more of this. "Disengage now!"

Yoru released the six-legged monstrosity, now sporting a bleeding and melted side, and crawled back over to my side. He had a large gash on his head going from just left to his left eye all the way down to his lower jaw, that looked pretty bad, I had to end this soon. The two were glaring at each other, Lairon clearly more wary of Yoru this time. Yoru however seemed more annoyed than usual. Yoru didn't have any long range moves that would be effective enough to put this thing down, but another close-range battle wouldn't end in our favor. Suddenly the little asshole, probably tired of waiting opened its maw, flames burning in its jaws before launching a small torrent of flames at the iron beast. To say I was shocked was an understatement… This asshole just used Incinerate, out of fucking annoyance…

When the flames died down Lairon, was clearly in the danger zone. Its steel skin was glowing red in certain areas, and it looked awful. "Recall your Pokemon or it'll die." Nathan didn't even acknowledge me with a response instead he just stared at his Lairon. Everyone was quiet. Pokemon have died in official battles before it's really more common than you'd think. Some die because they are too stubborn to listen to their trainers, and others because their trainer was too stubborn to listen to them. I was hoping to avoid that today.

"Lairon, is forfeiting. Return buddy you did great." I sighed, releasing a breath I didn't realize I was holding. It was such a respectable choice, even the once boisterous crowd started respectfully clapping as the red beam hit the Lairon. As much as I disliked him before I had to admit this was a true testament to his character.

"Shall we continue?" His eyes were steeled, the mark of a true battler. To show compassion during the moment but also have the will and strength to continue. I nodded; the only action needed to convey my respect. "Drogon, it's your time to battle." A small black Garchomp took the field. The Garchomp was young and didn't look like it was used to it's taller and more muscled body. A recent evolution.

"Yoru is forfeiting. Sobek take the stage." Sobek appeared on the field his fangs bared and ready for battle. The ref signaled for us to start, and it was on. "3-2-3-1-4" Sobek, shot off in an Aqua Jet our code being understood perfectly.

"Stone Wall" Garchomp stomped its foot, and multiple spires of earth rose from the ground forming a wall between the two. Unfortunately, it was too late as Sobek had bypassed the wall and shifted into Ice Fang taking large chunk into Garchomp's side. The Garchomp proceeded to slam a brick break into Sobek's skull, knocking it to the ground. Sobek growled taking off with Aqua Jet and slapping the Garchomp with a devastating Aqua Tail to the chest. Garchomp, only grew more furious, covering its arms in green energy and slashing Sobek's chest. My little alligator released a loud roar of pain as blood splattered in the air, but unfortunately, Garchomp wasn't one for mercy covering its tail in the same energy before knocking Sobek away across the field. Sending him skidding across the field back to me.

I wanted to run out and comfort my water-type as Sobek shakily stood back up. This wasn't looking good at all. That Garchomp had everything he did and then some. Time to flip the script. "Halt!" Sobek looked perplexed but his confusion didn't last as it entered a defensive stance, claws sharp and ready. The lumbering Garchomp didn't seem to mind that, taking the time to catch its breath. The Ice Fang having done more damage than I thought. "Rain Dance." A blue aura surrounded Sobek before condensing into a small bright ball and flying into the air. Not a second later rain began to pour. Soon the entire battlefield was being drowned by the rain, it almost made it impossible to see. Too bad for Nathan, I was used to this.

"Morning flood." Though hard to see Sobek, was grinning. Sobek gathered the water into his fist before launching a multitude of glowing blue orbs. Garchomp was bewildered as it was soon pelted with multiple high speed water bullets. Take that you fucking assholes! Oh man I wish I could see Nathan's dumbass face; he must be confused as fuck. The asshole probably knew and counted on the fact that the Totodile line were fierce but relied on their dense muscles and scales to do most of their damage. Their frames were built to tank hits and then counter with devastating slashes and bites. He probably figured it be an issue for us though since our opponent was bigger, stronger and more durable than us.

"Midday impact." Sobek's grin was contagious, influencing my own. He shot off and barreled into the dazed and confused Garchomp. The streak of blue water was hard to keep up for those unused to it.

"INCREDIBLE FOLKS, FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DIDN'T KNOW THE FERALIGATR LINE REALLY STRUGGLES WITH WATER MANIPULATION ABILITIES. YET THIS BEAST IS DOMINATING THE OPPONENT WITH PRECISE AND POWERFUL WATER ATTACKS." The smirk on my face." The smirk on my face must have been infuriating to Nathan. The announcer wasn't entirely wrong. The Feraligatr line were no Kingdra or Starmie. They wouldn't be manipulating water with just their precision. However, it was more so an issue of quantity of water instead of actual ability. Most land dwelling or hybrid dwelling water types developed water glands to retain their water and manipulate the outside sources of water. Unless trained to specifically overcome their limited quantity, even a Hydro Pumps would be considered a last resort to them. It was the generation of water that caused the most of the Feraligatr line to rely on their physical power first. However, Sobek wasn't like most of his brethren, he had a Kingdra for a parent.

A mutation. Sobek had inherited his parent's ability to manipulate and generate water much better than the average member of his species. His water sacs had been confirmed to be much larger and more developed than most Feraligatr as a Totodile. Taking all that into account, I developed a series of moves to capitalize on said ability. While my opponent waited for him to run out of water, we would launch the ultimate offensive.

"Evening wave/Sand World" It seemed Nathan wasn't going to wait for us to continue. His Garchomp taking on a yellow hue before releasing a massive cloud of sand and manipulating it to create a sand hurricane around it. Such a manipulation of sand was astounding but not something it could do with ease. I couldn't see it, but I could tell it required a whole new level of focus. Sobek was put off by the sand defense but still fruitlessly attempting to blast through with large wave of water gathered by the rain. Unfortunately, it did absolutely nothing. We could do nothing but watch and wait. "Standby until the sand dies down." Sobek retreated to the edge of the field where I could see him and leered at the sand cloud.

"LOOKS LIKE WE GOT OURSELVES A GOOD OLD FASHION STANDOFF FOLKS! GARCHOMP'S SAND WORLD IS IMPENETRABLE." Let it be known that I'm not the most patient person and this waiting shit wasn't for me. 5 minutes had passed, and I started to reach for my belt.

"Let it down." The sand hurricane immediately fell, causing a massive wave of sand to flood the field. Sobek got buried but immediately dug his way out, and then passed out. What the hell!? I ran toward my mon; safety precautions be damned to see what took him out when I finally noticed it. While slower than before, he was still bleeding, and he must've reached his limit with said blood loss. I couldn't believe it. I had gotten so caught up in pressing my advantage that I didn't even notice. Gritting my teeth, I returned him. I'd make it up to him later, this loss was on me.

Walking back to my section, I had to figure out something. So far, he'd used a Sneasel, Electabuzz, Lairon and Garchomp. Three of which were defeated and one who had taken some damage but how much I couldn't tell. It was panting from the side bite, but that sand world didn't look like it took much more out of it. Viridios was fast and could maybe keep up but would be taken out with one hit. Hana and Zeus wouldn't be able to do much of anything either. Apollon was my ace and using him with two other unknowns might not be the smartest idea. That left, the princess. Shit, she's gonna be pissed.

"Isis, let's go." My small, bipedal, grey and pink feline took the field. Her displeasure at being in sand was made known immediately. I do not enjoy this master. Win this battle and I'll take you on a spa day. Make it two mistress. Spoiled bitch.

Isis' eyes began glowing, her psychic power starting to focus. What can you tell me about its stamina? It is hurt but not tired it will take power to defeat it. The fire drake would have been a better opponent but would have still fallen as the water drake. Good to know. I needed to keep it away from you then. Barrier: Rho Ais.

Isis erected 7 invisible barriers around herself. Her psychic energy being used to hold them together. I do not believe our standard barrier formation will be effective, mistress. Agreed, it knows brick break. However, I wasn't doing that for defense.

"Sand Burial." Suddenly the sand came to life, Garchomp somehow manipulating it to try and capture Isis. Fortunately, her barriers gave her enough time to evade said sand. Trying to bury me, in such filth. Mistress he shall perish. Relax, drama queen, use Shadow Ball.

Isis shot multiple orbs of ghastly energy at the large dragon. Having gotten much better at them under my tutelage, she had become a force to be reckoned with using the distorted energy. Unfortunately for us Garchomp's sand defense automatically rose to block our attack. You did not say I'd be fighting Gaara. Shut up. The sand control exhibited was astonishing to say the least. Isis wasn't wrong though fighting a Gaara like opponent required speed to outrun their defense's reaction time. We can sacrifice SB's offensive capabilities, to use teleport and Psyshock to strike. My teleportation speed is faster than the sand and I wouldn't have to switch between energies. Do it.

Isis proceeded to commence her strategy, taking off in flurry of teleports and launching blasts of psionic lightning at a confused and aggravated dragon who couldn't hit her with sand or claw. After about two minutes of this, Nathan must've gotten annoyed because he returned Garchomp a scowl on his face.

"Abra, combat stance." Shit/Shit. Is it a better tele-? Of course, it is mistress. Let it come at you sense its movements and then blast it. Shadow balls only. It doesn't look like it can take a hit like you. No more words were said as the two psychics began duking it out. Neither of us making a command a sign we had bonded enough with our mons to psychically command them. Watching two psychics battle was always something incredible, and this time was no different. Isis and her opponent were popping in and out of existence all around the battlefield. The Abra was using the elemental punches or hidden power to try and land a hit while Isis responded Psybeam and Psyshock blasting at the Abra. The two were duking it out without instruction from us. Their instincts taking over as two warring psychics.

"THIS IS INCREDIBLE FOLKS. THESE TWO TRAINERS HAVE SUCH A STRONG BOND WITH THEIR POKEMON THEY'VE LET THEM IN THEIR MENTAL SPACE! EVIDENT BY THE FACT NEITHER HAS ISSUED A SINGLE COMMAND VERBALLY. LOOKS LIKE ABRA IS THE BETTER TELEPORTER BUT ISIS HAS MORE POWER AND BETTER REFLEXES. I WONDER WHO'LL SLIP UP FIRST."

After a few minutes of them exchange attacks, I got more annoyed. This is getting us nowhere. Let him land a punch and blast him with the strongest Shadow Ball you can. I wasn't surprised to not get a response she seemed entirely focused on the battle in fact I honestly didn't know if she heard me, but I prayed she did. The field continued to be littered with flashes as the two kept battling it out, but I could tell Isis was getting slower as time went on. There had been a few to many close calls where a punch almost landed. The fight continued on with the two attempting to hit each for a few more rounds until Isis got sloppy and miscalculated where the Abra would teleport. She ended up receiving a Thunder Punch to the face and getting knocked to the ground. Watch this. The Abra let its guard down stopping to take a breath. Isis took advantage of that by blasting it with a larger than normal Shadow Ball. The Abra was knocked back in the resulting explosion. Finish it. The Abra tried teleporting away, but the distorted energy attached to it prevented it from gathering the necessary psychic energy to complete the teleportation. Isis launched two more Shadow Balls finishing the job.

"WHAT AN EXCELLENT DISPLAY OF PSYCHIC PROWESS FOLKS! ABRA FOUGHT VALIANTLY BUT IT LET ITS GUARD DOWN JUST A LITTLE TOO SOON!"

"Garchomp, I need you." The draconian sand shark took to the field again. Its arm clutched its side immediately, the Ice Fang must've done more damaged than I thought, but it was still a long way from defeated. "Destroy." Garchomp let loose a deafening roar before flying at Isis and knocking her out with a devastating Brick Break. I returned Isis and made a mental note to get her a spa day. She'd done excellent.

Looking at the board I compared our standings, so we each took down 4 of the others mons, and we had two tired mons. The winner of this battle would be in better standings. It'd most likely come down to Apollon versus Garchomp, but it was a matter of when…

"Viridios, I need your help." My grass type gecko was out next immediately taking a knee and panting. His next mon would be at full strength. Even if Apollon had to fight Garchomp, it'd be better if he was as fresh as possible, or at least that was how I tried to rationalize it. "Agility." Viridios took off the adrenaline pumping move increasing his speed. Garchomp just stood there watching as Viridios darted around him.

"Flamethrower, catch it off guard." Garchomp, began launching flamethrowers but something was off. Each one was either smaller than the last or slower. It was like it couldn't gather the oxygen needed to properly execute the attack. As I watch Garchomp continue to fail and hit Viridios, that's when I realized it. A deep purple bruise, on the left side of its chest. No wonder they took Isis out so quickly. They didn't want me to notice. Sobek must've hit the same spot with Aqua Jet and Water Pulse to severely weaken the Garchomp and give us a weak point.

"SWITCH BETWEEN AGILITY, LEAF BLADE AND DRAGON BREATH AND HIT IT'S SIDE, SOBEK OPENED UP A WEAK SPOT FOR US!"I was definitely getting the blue asshole a nice big steak for this. I smirked, Viridios took full advantage of the opening Sobek left and darted in and out of Garchomp's personal space, using quick and devastating slashes to its chest and ribs, whenever Garchomp got to close or seemed to regain its bearings, Viridios shot a Dragon Breath to inflict massive damage and create space. Garchomp was getting annoyed, it couldn't stop Viridios from getting faster and dealing damage.

"Sand World." Garchomp resummoned the sand hurricane around itself and forced Viridios back. Damnit! Viridios didn't have anything powerful enough to break through this impenetrable defense.

The denseness of the sand would reduce the force of the impact and power of any of Viridios' more powerful attacks. Bullet Seed could probably get through if it had more power. Its speed combined with the rotation we learned would normally be able drill through something like this, however the rotation of the sand combined with the denseness would cancel out the rotation and weaken the piercing power of Bullet Seed. Energy Ball could break through the rotation but not the denseness.

"Viridios, charge up your Energy Ball and compress it but don't launch it." Viridios, didn't hesitate it began charging the energy ball to it's maximum power limit and then started to compress it. I could see him struggling to truly hold and compress the energy. "Add rotation, slowly." Viridios then started to rotate said energy, the spinning motion would add a devastating effect and cut through the rotation allowing the attack to smash through the denseness and blow through Garchomp. "Launch it!"

Viridios shot off the attack and watched as it broke through the sand hurricane, however it didn't reach the Garchomp as expected. Just before it could reach him however the attack was caught in the middle of the storm and exploded. The explosion forced opened a hole in the storm giving us a clear view of the Garchomp however the sand reformed, and the hole closed up.

Damnit. Viridios was looking back at me sweat pouring down his face. He was definitely annoyed, I figured that he must've thought that it would've worked just as much as myself. We had to come up with something. Power, speed, rotation. Bullet Seed or Energy Ball. I had to go with something. Wait. 70 years ago, the Kanto Champion at the time had battled a Rhyperior with impeccable defense, his Meganium at the time couldn't break through his armor even with its super effective attacks, he needed to boost its power, so he had it eat an Energy Ball. The result was astounding, all of its grass attacks were boosted, and its physical capabilities were also enhanced. That power came at a cost though. The Meganium may have defeated the Rhyperior, but it immediately fainted afterwards and never returned to the battlefield. The energy collected if unproperly handled would lead to devastating repercussions on the body.

"Viridios, we're going to do something a little different pal. Use Energy Ball, compress it, and then eat it. Let the power flow through you and enhance your natural energy. Don't force the power out or try to control it just let it sink into your cells and empower you." Viridios looked back at me in shock. We had tried this technique before in training and while we didn't face any long-term repercussions, Viridios had been unable to train for a month afterwards.

After a few seconds Viridios summoned up the Energy Ball before compressing it as much as possible and eating it. The result was instantaneous, the leaves on its head and arms glowed bright with green energy. Last time we had done this we tried to force the energy and control it. I think forcing the control was our problem last time. So, this time we were just going to let it be. "Go nuts."

Viridios took off, the speed boosting properties of Agility combined with the physically boosted abilities granted from energy ball made him a jet. He activated Leaf Blade and slashed through the sand hurricane like a hot knife through butter. Next thing I knew Garchomp was being assaulted by Viridios and the sand hurricane had died down immediately.

"WELL FOLKS THIS IS JUST INCREDIBLE GARCHOMP IS BEING ASSAULTED BY A BARRAGE OF LEAF BLADES CUTTING THROUGH ITS DRAGON SCALE ARMOR AND ULTIMATE DEFENSE! THIS DANGEROUS TECHNIQUE MAYBE WHAT SAVES THIS BATTLE FOR DIANA BUT IS IT WORTH IT?" Garchomp was being barraged with attacks and was unsuccessfully trying to defend itself. Each time it tried to counter all that resulted from it was a dodged Brick Break or Dragon Claw. Viridios switched to Power Up Punch, landing blow after blow on his opponent and increasing its power. To the crowd it looked like we we're just bullying the great beast however, Viridios and I both knew he was burning through that power and if he didn't end this soon it would be over for him. Still the combos he was landing were just brutal.

I could tell Garchomp was getting tired of getting pummeled. Every attempt it made to control the sand around it was futile, I'm guessing concentration was a key factor of the technique. Eventually after a well-placed Double Kick to the face the Garchomp was finally put down. Crashing hard into the sand below. Nathan quietly returned his beast a formidable opponent taking out half of my team.

"Here's my starter, I hope he doesn't disappoint." Then Nathan proceeded to do the one thing I'd hope he wouldn't. He sent out a Frogadier. Frogadier were fast, intuitive, precise and intelligent. Hit and run style battlers that depended on confusion, manipulation, and deceptive tactics to win. For Viridios a mon who had mastered that style of fighting this would be an easy battle, however…

"OH, WOW AND WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT! AS SOON AS FROGADIER TOOK HE FIELD VIRIDIOS FELL FACE FIRST INTO THE DIRT HIS RESERVES MUST'VE RUN OUT!" I knew this would happen. Damnit out of all the mons he had a technique oriented one wasn't who I was expecting. I sent out Apollon who appeared with a glorious roar. Frogadier wasn't even fazed instead staring down my fire drake with the steel gaze of an assassin.

"Apollon, burn everything in your path." My crimson lizard took a deep breath and release a wave of flames. The blast swept through the field and bathed it in flames. Frogadier took to the sky to dodge and then activated Aerial Ace creating two white kunai of wind. It was God damn fast.

"Don't let it get too close, if it does make it pay/Use your speed and close the distance." We both ordered. Nathan was good but I had to be better. Frogadier charged at my drake, but he had battled Viridios and was somewhat adept at countering this style of combat. Frogadier closed the distance and slashed at Apollon, who looked like he could care less before smashing a Thunder Punch into its chest.

Frogadier flew back, damn near crashing into the wall. The blue frog struggled to get back electricity coursing around its body. Paralysis. Holy shit we got fucking lucky. Unfortunately, for Frogadier, Apollon was like a shark and once he smelled blood, it was over. Apollon rushed toward the Frogadier wrapped in flames before crashing into him. Frogadier tried to channel a Water Pulse to counter but the Flame Charge only increased Apollon's speed cutting off Frogadier's attempted attack. It didn't end there. Apollon's claws took on a bright white hue before slashing into the Frogadier. It was brutal to say the least.

After about 30 seconds of the brutality, I couldn't stand it any longer. "Apollon, fall back." My fire drake looked at me incredulously, before jumping back and staring down at our opponent. Frogadier looked bad. It was red all over probably from its own blood. I felt really bad.

"I forfeit. There's no reason for me to risk Frogadier's health any longer." I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. We won.

"AFTER A BRUTAL ONSLAUGHT AND APOLLON HAS EMERGED VICTORIOUS, AND AS SUCH DIANA IS THE VICTOR." This wasn't an earned victory. Frogadier didn't even get a chance to battle with its full potential. I looked across at Nathan, he was walking towards me and his face unreadable. I met him in the middle of the field. Staring into his eyes I didn't know, what to say or even how to feel.

"Congratulations."

"Thank you."

We both were silent. Staring into his eyes I think I understood exactly who he was. He wasn't anything like I thought he was originally.

"You won."

"I did."

"So, how do we proceed."

"Kiss me."

"What?" His shocked expression was perfect.

"Kiss me you fucking idiot." So, he did. His lips felt nice and warm, but it was too short. He pulled away before smirking and turning around. Oh, hell nah, I grabbed his arm and turned him around. Grabbing the back of his head I pulled him into a deep kiss this time. It was amazing to say the least. His mouth was warm, and his tongue was nice. I don't know how long we kissed but I know the only reason we separated was for air.

"That was…"

"Yeah."

"DIANA PRESCILA KINGSLEY!" Oh shit. My dads.
