The whole world didn't have to adjust to Sakura's blindness. She had to adjust to it and find her way; in a world that seemed so small. People towered like giants.
When she was still learning to grasp her sensory skills and refused to use a cane or a ninken, she tripped over steps, rocks, roots, and bullies would trip her every moment they could get in the beginning.
Sakura found solace in mother nature and animals, they would always be her companion before she met her first friend Ino. She would find comfort in smells, textures, and gentle babbling brooks. During summers, the young petal would sneak out and wade in the Naka River. She felt like she was floating on air and nothing mattered in the moment.
There were no other blind kids in Konoha..Not that she knew of, and so she felt out of place. The odd one out. To top it of, her appearance was strange. She had pink hair and green hairs as she had learned. No one in the Konoha looked like her, not even her parents..That was always in the back Sakura's mind. Were Kizashi and Mebuki really her parents?
Sakura scowered around the house as she got older. Feeling around for her baby book, birth announcements, birth certificate, or even old baby toys. Sakura had studied at the library that old objects left traces of chakra and that's how she could figure out for sure. But she never found anything.
