Chapter 8
The next day Jack, Miko and Raf where walking to a party.
"Where's Ahsoka?" asked Miko.
"Mom's teaching her more about the way things are done on earth" Jack answered although his mind was lingering on his discovery last night.
They soon arrived at the party only to find a singular dark room.
"Something's not right" Jack muttered feeling a dark disturbance in the force.
"Greetings" a rather predatory voice whispered, and they all spun around to see a Red skinned alien whose face looked like it had been branded with a tattoo and had a crown of horn's instead of a mane of hair and in his hand he held a black lightsaber.
"WH…who are you?" said Rafael as Jack stood protectively in front of him.
"I am Darth Maul rightful lord of the Sith" Maul introduced himself.
'Ahsoka mentioned him' Jack remembered reaching into his back pocket as Maul continued
"You three have much potential in the force and I have need of that, it's your choice but know if you are not with me you are against me" Maul finished and then heard a familiar sound and he, Miko and Raf all saw Jack had drawn a blue bladed Lightsaber.
"You have made your choice as for you two…watch closely" Maul grinned and lunged at Jack who blocked with his saber.
"I take it you never had proper training or more likely, you are in fact not a Jedi" Maul deduced as he swiped at Jack who easily parried and delivered a kick at Maul's leg "but you are quite good at learning on the job" Maul admitted.
"I'm just a kid from Jasper" said Jack as he brought his blade at Maul's shoulder and nearly scored a blow "but that's all it takes to take down some Sith wash-out like you".
Sparks flew as their saber's clashed.
"I must admit I had my doubt on your people's warrior capabilities, but I am surprised that you are skilled enough…to amuse me" said Maul before speaking again,
"You are trained to handle the Force but not in the Jedi way and so there is another path, a stronger path for you to take: the Dark Side".
"Never heard of it" Jack grunted before sending the air vent down on top of the Sith with the force and used the force to break the door down.
"WHERE did you get that?" asked Miko as they ran starring at the blue blade in Jack's hand.
"Yeah I thought you said you wouldn't build your own" Raf joined in.
"I didn't build this it's…part of the family" replied Jack vaguely.
"What do you mean?" asked Miko confused.
"I'll explain later let's just get out of here" Jack told her until they ran into a squad of Maul's death watch troopers, but before they could attack a ground bridge opened right beneath their feet and transported them to safety.
