Chapter Four: The Glorified Babysitter
(3rd POV)
Tiamat wakes in Jasmine's bed to see Fou licking her nose in the attempt to rouse her from slumber, blinking away the sand in her eyes, she looks out the window to find day breaks with the sun peeking over the mountains, worry sets in for Jasmine has not returned.
{Where are you, Jasmine?} She asks out loud with her usual song, not bothering to use the language of man, Fou sits on her lap with his ears low as he too, is worried for his friend, it has been hours and Jasmine hasn't come back yet.
Not that Jasmine is in danger, they have complete faith she can deal with any kind of threat against her wellbeing, but it doesn't stop either of them from being concerned to what Jasmine has been doing throughout the night.
The redhead may not show it, or admit it flat out, but the mother goddess sensed that she has inner turmoil within her heart, such is the downside of the dream cycle, reopening past scars.
Something the Primordial Sea herself can empathize with as she has her own set of scars haunting her still, if for slightly different reasons.
Thinning her lips, she thinks about her friend, Jasmine confides her of her past, one with loneliness and being hunted down by her children for the power she wields at her fingertips, a power her children yearned to have for themselves, and even using humans to capture her with promises for rewards, no matter what they may be.
All attempts fall short, it was an endless cycle, as a result, Jasmine was forced to go into isolation for decades in one of the most dangerous places at the time that even the bravest travelers and warriors would pause to go, and Fou could only provide so much because what Jasmine craved desperately was human interaction.
Tiamat can't help but think that despite Jasmine's scorn and hatred towards the gods, she has a friendship with the very mother of all the gods herself.
'Is this what she calls irony?' Tiamat thought with a tilt to her head in curiosity while petting Fou from head to tailbone tenderly with her hand.
"Fou~" The little one mewls under the ministration of his mother with sweet surrender.
They perked up when the sound of a familiar whir reaches their ears, they turn back to the window, and their eyes glow in delight and relief to see a familiar golden arc passing by briefly, but it was enough to confirm one thing.
Jasmine has returned safe and sound.
Fou jumped in fright as he was yanked in her arms, then Tiamat gets off the bed and practically rushes out the door and all the way to the front door of the mansion.
Her eyes glow in delight as she sees Jasmine standing in front of the gate with no Vimana in sight. She puts Fou down on the ground.
{Jasmine!} Tiamat calls out with a song as she teleports in front of her and wraps her in a hug.
Jasmine was ripped out of her thoughts by the unexpected jump from the adult form of her friend, who then nuzzles her cheeks with hers.
But it didn't last long as Tiamat raises her head up and stare at Jasmine with a stern look.
{Why did you have to take so long? You kept us waiting to the point of day break.} Tiamat interrogates.
Jasmine, in a rare moment of embarrassment, shows a sheepish expression, responds. "Sorry, I just had a lot to think over." Her head turns to the side, not looking her in the eye.
The answer falls flat as Tiamat's gives her the look, the kind when a child doesn't return before curfew and giving a poor excuse, she proceeds to pull and twist her left ear with impunity, making her wince a little.
'I 100% deserve this.' Jasmine thinks to herself before she yelps as an upset Tiamat leads her by the ear and back into the mansion.
Fou snickered the entire way from seeing her being reprimanded and is pretty much put in the doghouse.
Jasmine turns her eyes to him with a promise of retribution.
The reincarnated soul was forgiven by offering her friend with the best of breakfast and promises of cuddles for making her worry so much while Fou sits on the table gouging his own meal.
"Aaah~." Tiamat sings in contentment as she rubs her stomach as she sits on the chair while using a napkin to wipe her mouth, manners that Jasmine taught her with throughout the centuries they've known each other.
Speaking of Jasmine, the redhead was rubbing her ear from the pain the Primordial Sea inflicted upon her, still having a guilty look as she doesn't look at Tiamat in the eye.
She hasn't felt like this in a very long time, she may be a full-grown woman at this point, and being much older than even Tiamat, but she always finds a way to make her feel like a child in her rare moments of foolishness.
'Her motherly chastisements should be a Noble Phantasm if she could make me of all people feel like a naughty child.' She thought to herself with a shudder.
She blinks as a hand touches her cheek, forcing her to turn to the source.
Tiamat's face is not of anger and disappointment, but understanding and love, as she gently caresses her cheek.
{Don't make us worry ever again Jasmine, I know you have problems with your past, but please don't push us away, tell us what ails your heart should another dream cycle occurs, okay my dear?}
Jasmine closes her eyes, leans to her touch and nods.
"I will, and I'm sorry you have been worried because of me."
The mother goddess smiles and kisses her on the forehead as a sign of acceptance for her truly heartfelt apology.
{I forgive you Jasmine, now about those cuddles you promised me.}
Taking all her willpower not to snort at that, she nods, having enough common sense not to push her luck lest Tiamat goes further on her methods of punishment, they walk to her bed chambers.
"Fou!" The small white beast of Gaia jumps on Jasmine's shoulder when he notices the two women were leaving.
They reached Jasmine's bed, lie down and the two held each other close while Tiamat pets the redhead's hair softly as she holds close to her while whispering sweet nothings in the same ear she pulled, while her horns are not present as they disappeared at the midway point in the halls.
Fou jumps on his little bed, does a little spin before laying down to take a nap.
The host of the Sword of Rupture herself smiles softly, she grabs the blanket and pulls it over them, and then wrap her arms around Tiamat, slowly her eyes close as she was lulled to sleep to make up for lost sleep from waking up in the middle of the night, it's a good thing there is nothing to do at this time. It was decided unanimously to be a lazy day.
And this time, no nightmares of the past to haunt her.
(Next Day: 1st POV)
I am standing before one of the stalls in the busy part of the market area looking for food that ranges from fruits and vegetables to meat from boar and poultry, including milk from cattle, she skims through the items needed to resupply the mansion.
An ancient fashion for grocery shopping to put simply.
Walking among the populace, in my usual attire, but only without the armor pieces and while my hair is let loose, long, and straight right down to the back of my knees.
It's been three days since our arrival, and we have been getting themselves accustomed to civilization, word reached of our dwelling and the people are curious of us newcomers, more so for children that wanted to meet us.
Tiamat took a quick liking to them like fish to water and they her, as a mother herself, it's not surprising to be enamored by them.
"What do you plan on teaching young Gilgamesh, Jasmine?" The mentioned goddess asked me while she changed into her child form with the voice to match her appearance before we left our home, with her hair tied up in twin braids with the blue tassels at the ends keeping them together, wearing a tattered, short sleeve blue dress, arms with the skintight material reaching mid biceps, and ones reach from ankles to thighs, gold pieces that once held her feet together are now wrapped around her legs like jewelry, complete with blue sandals.
Fou meanwhile sits on her right shoulder that was nuzzling his head against her cheek which is reciprocated.
I meanwhile was putting all the required items inside my medium-sized black pouch hanging on my left side with the string around the belt, a special type of pouch that can serve to keep food fresh, it also has enough space to equal a storage truck despite its small unassuming size, paying for the merchants the right amount of coin for them to take while ignoring the stares I've been receiving from passerby's and guards and other merchants.
Or rather staring at the golden ripple next to me, but that's just minor detail.
"I have a schedule that I have on a tablet delivered to me by the messenger at Lugalbanda's behest, the arrangement is that while he and Ninsun will teach their son of how to run a kingdom from start to end of the morning for this month. The next month however, from morning to evening, I will have him learn many subjects ranging from doing exercises to strengthen his body, how to hunt for game in the Cedar Forest as well as how to skin and cook the animals he catches. Of course, there is also on how to properly fight that has no association with Sumerian wrestling that took place." I explain to my dear lifelong companion.
And wasn't that an honest surprise for us. Just yesterday in the afternoon, Gilgamesh's' parents has come to visit to see how we were doing as their child was worried, assuring them we were alright and things have worked out the little trouble in paradise, we talked a little in the kitchen as I provided lunch for them, the three of us conversed for a bit when Lugalbanda then told me of an altercation between two men that occurred at the northern plaza that he and Ninsun passed by on the way here.
He said that as king, he is obligated to take the role as arbiter between the two parties by via wrestling.
From what I have learned from asking what this entails, he told me that tradition states that should ever there be those who have a disagreement or to challenge someone in a fight to test their masculinity and strength, then by the laws of Uruk, a wrestling match is arranged to take place to settle it once and for all.
Essentially a no holds barred event that winner takes all and the loser will either die or live, but suffer from injuries they received.
Crotch kicks and punches, hair pulling, eye gouging, suffocation, crushing skulls, breaking bones, and biting. The point is, there are no boundaries in the methods of fighting in these events, except for two rules that are demanded to be followed, first being that use of weapons are expressly forbidden, and the second rule is that no one is allowed to refuse the challenge.
Granted, losing is ok because they're can only be one winner, so people will not, and shall not think less of the effort that the defeated has put their all into, and that is all anyone can ever ask for.
Turning down a challenge however is a different issue. Doing so will not only be a blow to your image and integrity, but it will also result in making you an outcast amongst the people, pray that you don't have a family to support because they will share the ostracizing alongside you.
If that is not an incentive? Then I don't know what is.
I am not surprised about this, but it doesn't mean I was less appalled, as a person from the Age of Man, this is no better than those illegal underground fights be it in real life or movies.
Uruk may be a city state that's indeed ahead of its time, regarded as the city of cities even, but it is also still regarded as the cradle of civilization. Here, law and order aren't as advanced like the modern age, so I stayed quiet on the matter as I have to remind myself that change doesn't come overnight.
A change that took 6,000 years down the line, a colossal pimp slap on my patience, but hey, what can you do?
Shaking my head on such things, I turn back to collect a few more items for the day, paying for them and the gate closes a second after.
The coins I have is a generous courtesy from Lugalbanda's yesterday's visit, or to put it more bluntly, I was being paid for his son's tutelage, if I were some goody to shoed idiot, I would have refused the money, but I didn't because of multiple factors, chief among them is that outright refusal will be an insult to Lugalbanda, he may be a jolly giant of a fellow, but he is still a king and will get pretty tough on a dime when he in fact, he has to.
Nothing good comes from making an enemy out of someone, especially a ruler when they are trying to meet you halfway. It is needless and stupid.
True it won't be the first time I stained my hands with the blood of a king, but it was the very first time I have ever met one who has been nothing but welcoming and courteous through all the time we interact with each other in the span of three days with no thoughts of conspiring against me whatsoever.
He has my respect for that and gotten good brownie points from the get-go.
Hell, I even baked him and Ninsun cinnamon rolls, fresh out the oven with tray in hand, and I never seen eyes glitter from the first bite like theirs did.
And Ninsun all but demands me of how to make them, so I give her the recipe and created a copy of a modern-day oven that works independently, without any source but itself.
They then proceed to take them after our talks were done, with Lugalbanda carrying the oven on his shoulder, demonstrating his muscles aren't just for show, and I ain't even mad about it, it feels nice to be appreciated for my baking skills, although I had to make more because Tia and Fou were pouting a storm at my direction, the final blow came in the form of Tia shedding tears to really sell it home.
I really am a sucker for sad cute things and Tia knows it.
Digressing aside, he gives me coins, and I undertake the job as his son's trainer in return. It boils down to being an investment, a trade off, as well as a give and take relationship between us.
Once everything is done, I move my attention to my two companions. "C'mon, we have done the last resupply run, we go home to stock up, our food isn't going to store itself." With that said, me, Fou and Tiamat walk back to the mansion.
Completely unaware of a pair of eager, innocent red eyes following us from afar.
(3rd POV: Ziggurat)
Ninsun eats a cinnamon roll with a silent moan of delight with the way the flavors slams into her mouth like a tidal wave.
'I have now seen the face of ultimate bliss.' She declares in her head as the tray with more of them sitting next to her, nice and warm.
She got to learn how to make them courtesy of Jasmine in letting her borrow her oven that is not like the ones she is familiar with, after the redhead gave her instructions on how it works and what recipe to follow, she can never get enough of it.
Neither does her husband and her son whose eyes turned to stars when first introduced to the first bite.
She watches from the sidelines as Lugalbanda deals with the usual reports on the day-by-day basis, ranging from farming for food supplies on the fertile grounds, trade agreements with other cities throughout Babylonia, distributing security for the walls interior to keep them standing guard from potential threats of invasion.
While nibbling a cinnamon roll of his own, much to the intrigue of the officials.
Other than that, its just another day in Uruk.
The cow goddess' mind wanders off, specifically when she was called back to the heavenly palace today in the early morning.
(Flashback: Hours Ago)
Ninsun walks briskly, following one of Anu's attendants inside the halls of the great palace, an elemental handmaiden is a spirit that is superior to humans, but inferior to gods, it's the same for every elemental spirit that serve whatever god they serve under, with Anu having the most servants and handmaidens out of all other deities.
As king of the gods, it's to be expected.
"We have arrived, my lady." The handmaiden bows before her, wearing a white dress reaching the ankles while having no shoes to speak of. Shoulders exposed completed with a veil to hide her lower face.
The mother of Gilgamesh nods in thanks as she opens the doors by touching them, her signature grants her passage through them, entering what comprises of a council room with chairs lavished with gold and jewels of the finest make ever built by the gods in all of Babylonia, each chair is designed for different gods of their respective domains.
And all mentioned gods are currently present, seemingly waiting for her arrival.
"Ninsun, welcome, we have much to speak of, please take your seat." Was the soft but commanding voice of Anu, the king of the gods himself.
The cow goddess bows, then took her own seat among the circular formation of other throne like chairs as she looks at him.
Appearing as an elderly man with blonde hair held by a crown, a beard, his physique in peak condition no different than her husband's own, his attire is that of a white toga with gold and jewels on his fingers, wrists and neck, eyes red and slitted as a common trait that gods and goddesses of the Sumerian pantheon carry.
"Now that Ninsun has arrived, we can now begin the meeting." He declares as the gathering of gods and goddess stand straight, all serious.
"To start off, Ninsun, what report do you have in regard to Jasmine along with her two companions?" Anu inquires the cow goddess.
Ninsun replies dutifully. "She has been treated with open arms amongst the citizens of Uruk, no incidents have been made thus far, as for Mother and the white beast of Gaia, they are calm and have shown no signs of hostile intentions towards us, based on how they interact with each other, it's as if they are friends."
A scoff reaches everyone's ears.
"So, the weapon has made them docile, instead of behaving like a master to her pets, she treats them as if they are friends? How the mighty have fallen, another thing that should be addressed as to why we aren't down there and bringing Mother Tiamat back to her prison where she belongs?"
That was the voice of Ishtar, the goddess of love and war. Appearing to have a veil covering the lower part of her face, wearing a rather scanty outfit that leaves little to the imagination. (1)
"You mistake their docile demeanor with weakness Ishtar, and If Tiamat managed to escape by herself, we would have done just that, but Jasmine was the one who freed our mother when she was found by sheer accident. What do you think will happen should we go with this idea of yours now that she is under Jasmine's protection? Simple, any attempts on her will not go unpunished, let alone unnoticed because somehow, someway she always finds out in the end."
A male voice stated who has garnered attention of all deities continues with his rebukes.
"And more to the point, whether you deny it or not, she has not lost her touch when it comes to butchering gods and demons that try to challenge her for her power with her own bare hands, in fact, I heard Ninsun here would have been eaten by mother, if Jasmine hadn't stopped her, and not counting the death of the demon Zazu, who has had attempted to take her for himself."
This person who is speaking is none other than Ea, the god of water and wisdom.
Many of the gods nod with a grimace, Ninsun and Anu included, the former informed of the latter of what would've happened if she didn't, the image in all their minds is not pleasant to look at.
Not taking this lying down, Ishtar retaliates with a sneer underneath. "You would know all about that wouldn't you, Ea? Considering you almost died by her hand when the gathering of gods tried to have her surrender the sword named after you."
"The sole wielder for the sword has existed far longer than us gods, nay, longer than the stars themselves, and even far back to the time when the Heavens and the Earth were one. So going by that logic, it is us who plagiarized her weapons name she has picked herself, not the other way around, and I didn't choose my mine either, your word basically holds no substance of the matter." He quickly debunks.
Ishtar scowls at that. "And what about the Bull of Heaven? Why not just use him to stall our mother long enough to deal with the impudent sword that walks, and what if they decide to attack us anyway?
Many blanched at this possibility, but Ea was quick with a counter argument before fear could take over their rationality.
"Its because it took everything we had to defeat mother, and that was when we were at the height of our power, but ever since the White Titan's invasion, our hold and influence in this world wanes with everyday, render us weak in turn, mankind's faith and worship in us is all that we have left, but even that is becoming a scarce resource."
Many gods and goddesses winced both internally and openly at this.
"And let's also remember that unlike us, Jasmine's power does not come from faith of mankind, and neither does mother's, they will not be sent to the reverse side of the world should the age where gods walk amongst men were to ever reach its final conclusion, and I was also sent to make a deal with her to watch over the keystone to keep us bound to this world, if we go with your idea, and in turn involving the greatest of phantasmal beasts we have at our disposal, there is no guarantee it will work, and I personally doubt that even you would not come out of it unscathed if you decide to go and fight them, Ishtar." Ninsun adds her input on the matter as she needs to point this out there.
Anu raised a hand to silence any arguments.
"Ea and Ninsun has speaks true, any attempts of conspiring against Jasmine and her two companions, is nothing short of foolhardy and suicidal, not only that, any death of a god would just speed up the process of the decline even further, we are in a delicate position, so you will stay your hand daughter mine."
Ishtar's face holds an ugly scowl, but she reluctantly obeys her fathers command when he looks at her sternly as he makes it clear that disobedience will not be tolerated.
Anu then changes the subject. "There is more to add however, word has it that her stay has caught the sight of both the world and the counterforce, do you all desire to know of what this entails?" He questioned that is more of a statement to the obvious.
And they know it too, Gaia and Alaya have been awfully silent, it all links to Jasmine's dwelling in Uruk, to cease their constant battle against one another would always involve Jasmine.
It's no secret that she is not one who stays in a place for longer periods of time, an hour or two at most, especially when inside cities or kingdoms, but three days? That is a cause for attention.
Ninsun could only hope that nothing bad comes out of this.
The meeting continues on for an hour or two before they must return back to their duties.
(Flashback: End)
Shaking her head from those thoughts, she turns back to her husband dealing with the last report that involves a man needing some time for his wife that had fallen ill.
When that was done, she moves to Lugalbanda's side who slumps slightly as he rolls his shoulders to ease the muscle aches.
"All done, I can finally take a break now, by the gods this was tiring."
Ninsun smiles as she the tray down next to him to take a roll, which he did with relish. "I know it's a difficult thing to deal with dear, but for let's go for a walk to help you clear your mind."
The king gives a big smile as he finishes treat, stands up and hold his wife around her waist. "How could I say no to you love?"
"Simple, you can't, you love me too much." Her husband laughs at this, knowing it to be true. As they walk out of the palace, a thought suddenly came to Ninsun.
'I wonder what Gilgamesh is doing right now?' She thought but shrugged to herself, its his day off, she is confidant he won't get into trouble.
But she won't be surprised if her son used this time to get to know Jasmine, the two get along rather well.
(With Jasmine: 1st POV)
When we return home, I had taken out all the food from the pouch and into the fridge, Tia, while still in her child form helping me out while Fou sits on the kitchen table, grooming himself.
When I was about to put the last of the meat in, only to move my head to the side as the sound of loud knocking reaches my ears for a moment, before humming in curiosity. "Hm, wonder who that could be?" I asked out loud while putting the meat in the fridge and then walk out to the kitchen to get to the front door.
Tiamat and Fou stayed behind, hearing the knocking as well, and they too wonder who could be here.
Standing at the door, and I peer into the door viewer, only to become pleasantly surprised as to who is there.
Without wasting time, I unlock my door and open it to see a familiar face, who's smiles brightly at seeing me.
"Hello Jasmine!" He greets with his hands behind his back.
"It is nice to see you, Gilgamesh." I greeted back with a smile as I move to the side and gestured to let him in.
The boy beams as he walks in with a little jump in his step, I close the doors with a click as I followed behind him.
"Where's Tia and Fou, Jasmine?" Gilgamesh inquires as he looks around the place, eyes bright with wonder and curiosity.
I hum a little bit before responding. "They are currently in the kitchen waiting, follow me, I will give you a look around my home a little later, okay?"
I know he wants to see my entire home, because it is nothing like the buildings found in Uruk, and its his first time being inside.
(3rd POV)
When they regrouped with Jasmines two friends, Fou tilts his head, Tiamat's face of surprise turns into a curious expression as she levitates next to him with her hands behind her back, head tilted in synchronized mimicry with Fou, and with me standing in front of him with the redhead having her right hand on her hip as she smiles down at the young lad.
Having the decency to feel nervous, he smiles sheepishly. "Uhm, hello?" The boy lamely spoke.
The host to the Sword of Rupture raised an amused eyebrow.
Tia wraps her arms around his neck with a big smile on her face.
And Jasmine's amusement freezes then and there.
Snapping out of it, Jasmine sees Gilgamesh blushing a little as Tia lets him go with a pleased smile.
Shaking to clear her head, Jasmine gets near them. "Gilgamesh, would you like a tour of our home since it's your first time here?" She asks the young man.
The boy nods in glee, Jasmine nods back as she leads him by the hand.
(3rd POV: Black Cedar Forest)
The forest that is often used to go to other small kingdoms of Babylonia, animals scurry about and birds chirping can be heard.
But there is one sole occupant walking away from the main road, a human woman whose beauty is unmatched amongst mortals, having long brown hair, wearing a crown of leaves on her head, her attire is that of a white dress with three sets of red sash's that wrapped around her body, from the hips that dangle on the front, the second around her stomach, and the last underneath her ample bust, openings that show her thighs, some gold rings on her biceps, and completed with sandals.
A week ago, she was sent here by her queen Ninsun with a mission involving what is deemed as of outmost importance.
And they wait for her just around this part of the forest, it was something she grew quite attached to it in the weeklong timeframe, and it her.
She smiles as the object of her mission bounces around her and then nuzzles her side.
It is a massive beast with swirl green circles all over its body, which is entirely made from clay, antlers above its head, standing on all fours as it was excited to see her again.
"I am happy to see you too, sorry that I had to leave, but I had to notify queen Ninsun of our progress, please forgive me?" She pleads with a voice that will make any man to swoon, showing her brown doe eyes that worked on the giant creature as it nuzzles some more as a yes.
"My thanks. Now, shall we continue on with our lessons Enkidu?" She asks before blinking as the beast whines pitifully at the thought of doing more of those boring lessons.
She doesn't have it easy with this childish being, but then again, this is new for her as well, a fresh change of pace outside of her usual occupation, but is she were to be honest with herself?
The Divine Harlot Shamhat wouldn't have it in any other way.
(To Be Continued)
At last, it's done, a curse of writer's block floats above my head, but I beat the bitch till it turned black and blue, then threw it to the coldest parts of Antarctica, and left it to suffer of a severe case of freezing its nuts off!
And I hope you all had a good Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
(1): It's basically Ishtar's stage 1 outfit when you first manage to summon her.
At any case, onto the reviews since I am in such a good mood to cut straight to the point!
Love-to-Peace: You are most welcome for the Christmas Gift, and Jasmine punishing dear Gilgi boy here is part of the job as caretaker and glorified babysitter, so it would a lot more sense for her to instill the fear in him.
And Servants with divine attributes fear for good reason, it is instinctual fear in every regard, and Altera learned her lesson the hard way. Jasmine been known by some of the Biblical Saints is because she met some of them before, Noah and his family being the first for Jasmine to have ever met.
The Loud Person: Tiamat being an Alter Ego is something I squealed over, but pissed that she is Japanese Arcade access only, but I can't do anything about it.
And dude, the half mongrel joke by Sippy Va was hilarious the first time, and its hilarious a hundred more times because it has a point of the greatest irony.
There's a story involving with the Faeries that which I won't say until I reach that point of my story. And if Merlin was around, he be having a hard time in doing his womanizing ways with her because Fou will be onto him like a pissed off wolverine.
Hatred and Love: I have seen the trailer of Alter Ego Tiamat, I am both happy and pissed at the same time because its Japanese Arcade use only, and your right, Gilgamesh deserved whatever was coming to him.
Dxhologram: Sorry that Ishtar is not with Chaldea, there's a reason for this, Chaldea just finished the London Singularity, so it won't be for a long while before they reached Babylonia Singularity to meet Ishtar. And have a merry belated Christmas and Happy new Year.
Kaleidoscope's Beauty: It will be way to story breaking for Jasmine to be at her full power, and any attempts to have her as a Servant while at said full power will kill the Master right then and there.
Journey to the End: The Saints regard Jasmine with respect, and Gilgamesh did has gotten what he deserved. And have a merry belated Christmas and a belated Happy New year!
Dreamer: Thank you very much for the positive review, and a belated merry Christmas with your family as well!
Sengoku: Many who knew and heard Jasmine have every reason to fear her, and I did the best I could with how I interpretate the Sword of Rupture, and I like the sword so much, and I am sad that it doesn't have much as screen time compared to other weapons like the ones in the Arturians legends, especially the Rhongomyniad and Excalibur, both weapons are fine and good, but Ea, the Sword of Rupture is pretty much the boss.
Also, Ea in this story is actually called a Primordial Construct, not a Divine Construct, because the sword is much older than any divine weapon and item ever built by the gods of other pantheons, that and Primordial Construct sounds much more powerful to my ears.
But thank you for the positive feedback on my story.
AkosiMarie: Have a belated Merry Christmas too! And thank you for good reviews.
Tenma Kirin: Don't worry, I will make more.
Blu3b3rryT3a: Shenanigans will continue with Jasmine involved in Grand Order.
Yisuslol23: She doesn't hate Gilgamesh, just hates his arrogance that comes out of every pore of his body, while it's the same with Caster Gil, but it is down to tolerable levels, and Jasmine is gonna live all the way to the modern age because her soul is fused with a seemingly eternal weapon that dates back in the time of the Big Bang. So, just like Scatchach, Jasmine too is immortal.
And this Buddha and Jesus bit, where did that come from? Is it from an anime I haven't seen?
Runelt99: HA! Sounds about right.
Stand Up Be Strong: Archer EMIYA has seen Jasmine a couple times in his Counter Guardians days and let's remember his younger self did try to copy Ea, so that's a yes to both your questions.
And Artoria is feeling shame because of what the Faeries tried to do, I won't say what it might be, spoiler territory and such.
Jasmine has not been to every Era, for that would imply that she has been everywhere at the same time, and adding that Jasmine is no history wizard in her first life, she has read a few stories and myths, but that's it, no hero is born in the same Era, let alone in the same place, Jasmine could be dwelling in the Scandinavian regions while the battle of Troy takes place right now and she wont be aware of it.
I'm no history nut either for that matter.
So yeah, I'm not gonna have her converse with EVERY Servant, she may talk with some out of courtesy if they come to her out of curiosity, but other than that, she is more comfortable with those she is most familiar with, Kid Gilgamesh and Fou being at the top of the list.
Seeking the Miraculous Dream: Trust me, Jasmines has centuries on how to use Ea in ways not even Gilgamesh would have thought of, most likely because of his pride that he will never use Ea on those unworthy of the sword to being used on.
And have a late Merry Christmas and a late Happy New Year as well. And thank you for the positive feedback!
Pride of the Quincy: your question about EMIYA will be the same as I have given for Stand Up Be Strong. And I wish you a late Merry Christmas as well as a late Happy New Year!
Kensei-1058: Trust me, there won't be lacking the number of Jasmine having challengers among the most battle-drunk of Servants. And a late Merry Christmas to you too!
Fenton: While Jasmine is not mentioned in the Holy Bible, does not mean that there are stories and sources that haven't been told of her.
Dei: Its hard to hate Artemis in the Nasuverse, while I won't deny she might do some things that would paint her in a bad light.
And for how Jasmine has a personal shit list for Olympians that try to wrong her? I have something in mind for that.
Fisher: Planetary devastation is bad civilization. Teasing Altera? Good civilization.
Cassandra: Ereshgikal, Buddha, Hades, Hestia, Chiron and Artemis are the few deities Jasmine ever tolerates.
Geller: Despite being in what amounts to a fate fans dream come true, she has learned to be realistic towards people, not go complete fangirl over them, and most certainly will be pissed about the deeds done by specific Servants.
Sakurhita: Here's the next chapter you were waiting for.
Shen: Jasmine is not someone you would want to piss off, even when she is in a weakened state for being a Servant.
SaLaX: The Sword of Rupture is redacted on her stat sheet, but don't get me wrong, it's not meant to be a secret for you boys and girls, but rather a secret for the Master and is not permitted to know unless Jasmine, Kid Gilgamesh, Artemis are forthcoming with why that is.
Runelt99: Ok what?
Nearsighted: You misunderstand, Jasmine is not a deity, but a Primordial Construct and the one who stands at the pinnacle of all Noble Phantasms that come after, and divinity attributes or a divine core would imply that Jasmine is a goddess, but she is not, I never claimed her to be one, nor does she think herself like one either, Sword of Rupture or not, she was human first, and that's how she wants to keep it that way. I don't say this to be mean, but just to remind you and everyone that Jasmine is no goddess.
Love-to-Peace: Yeah, Jasmines Truth Origin is an oversight on my part, I was trying to give Jasmine the ability to know truth from lies and vice versa, I guess I only half-explained it I suppose.
Enuma Elish that's redacted is not meant to be a secret for my readers, but for the Master who Jasmine doesn't have complete trust in him, at least not quite yet.
And while Jasmine Can go and use Ea to Anti-Universe Enuma Elish, but that is only when its Jasmine herself and not the cheap copy of her that is her Servant form, and using Ea is not something she would do, not out of some misplaced pride or egotism like her ward Gilgamesh is known for, but rather for practical reasons, example being that should she ever bring forth Ea right off the bat, people on her side will feel fear and terror the moment they look at it, irreversibly so for the Master and that is something Jasmine wont afford, for being unfocused on the battlefield is a dangerous thing to do.
So, to combat this problem, she has the Gate of Babylon to fall on, to summon a sword that isn't Ea, I have one in mind, but I'm not telling what it will be.
Sinner and Redeemer: She has slumbered throughout billions of years; she hasn't woken up until after the dinosaurs went extinct some time ago.
Afterwards she learned and trained on how to use Ea in the span of countless centuries before Adam and Eve arrived, and thirty-thousand years to master the sword.
And her title as Glorified Babysitter is a gag joke I couldn't let go of even if I try.
The Loud Person: A primordial force that is the Star of Creation goes way above and beyond Divinity my friend.
And as to why her mana is rank B? Correct me if I am wrong because I might forget what Mana is for, but isn't Mana used for practicing Magecraft, Witchraft, Runes, seals, or any other practice? If so, then why does Jasmine need to use them when she has the Origin Creation to basically do anything she wants without need for her Mana rank to be so high?
But if that's not the case of the how or why Mana is there for, do let me know and I will fix it immediately.
Yorozuya Forever: I won't be surprised if I was Literally the only person in the entire Fanfiction website to ever thought of an OC-Insert story involving the Sword of Rupture in the same sentence.
I love the Sword of Rupture and all its destructive abilities, if it isn't pointed at my direction that is, and not many, if not any at all, would ever do this, and I like to say I am happy about it because I want to share my thoughts and ideas for those who read my stories.
The fact Excalibur, and even Rhongomyniad get more attention than Ea/Sword of Rupture is pretty sad when you think about it, so I decided to give it the love it deserves, and I am very happy with the results thus far, and I hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Dreamer: Very much so my friend.
Fisher: That depends on the Beast in question, but if there is one Beast that Jasmine will learn to despise outright?
It'll be the none other than the Beast of Revelation, and I don't need to explain why this is so, now do I?
Pride of the Quincy: The redacted Enuma Elish is not meant to be a secret for my readers, but for the Master, but the other Redact is a secret to both.
And having Gilgamesh without Enkidu? What kind of world is that? Of course, I will have Enkidu involved, one way or another.
Jared: That time will come one day, just not today.
Sakurhita: Here's the next chapter in question.
Guest(1): Ea Chops, Ea Chops everywhere!
Guest(2): Bruh! I don't do harems; I can't make even a harem fic to save my own life, that and I am more of the monogamous type of guy anyway.
Kenza: I hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as well, and you assume correctly, and more Omakes will be made.
Garrick: The wonders of PowerPoint and pre-existing art from other artists to help me put the pieces together.
Raid: She does, but I forgot to add it into the stat sheet.
Herald of Chaos: They will be having words, in private of course.
Hope: They do speak about Tiamat; they both miss her terribly.
Sentient Glasses: Exactly! Divinity is like gold, and Primordial is Platinum, sure they're both materials made of gold, but one is more valuable than the other. White being the new yellow as it were.
Guest(3): Indeed.
Shinta: True that, but I was thinking along the lines that has to do with cost of Jasmine being 16 in this case. But hey, I am not against changing the star rarity.
Fantasia: the people working at Type-Moon give too much attention for the Arthurian Legends, nothing against it, but I like the Sword of Rupture better, so I am just giving it some love, and Fate/Extella and Link? Something to think on, and a belated Happy New Year to you too!
Vern: Asura's Wrath is still one of my favorite games to this very day, its OST's are something I enjoyed and while it may not have much in game battle mechanics, but I love it with all my heart and playing it is enough to make me happy.
Fang: Just imagine Jasmine stumbling onto Kimetsu no Yaiba, poor demons that have caused people harm.
Gen2324: The relationship between Jasmine and Tiamat is the most wholesome thing I have ever written hands down and I love it.
G271102: Don't worry, Siduri will appear, hell she was first mentioned back in chapter 2 when the trio arrived in the Ziggurat as the next upcoming priestess of Ishtar.
Protector for all: Happy New Year to you as well.
Josh: Writers block on my other stories made things painfully slow, its not an excuse, but it is what it is.
N0rtOm: I think that's the idea, nobody knows how powerful God truly is, be honest, who can really fathom his power? And for a little Tiamat? You mean like a little Tiamat that you fit inside your pocket? Adorable on all counts.
Genji: Even the likes of Da Vinci cannot hope to understand Ea's existence, genius or otherwise.
Guest(4): I'm not sure if he was being sarcastic or not, but don't forget about Noah, he was mentioned before back in Chapter 1.
Man oh man, that was a lot of reviews to go over, and I hope you all will like this next Omake, fair warning, its not the FGO continuations this time however, but the next Omake will be the continuation of FGO upon the next chapter.
(Omake: Non-Canon)
And Jasmine's amusement dies then and there.
(3rd POV: Jasmine's mindscape)
"TIA IS MINE TO CUDDLE YA PLEBS!"
[That was completely out of left field, you know that right?]
Ea made his presence known, and if she had to imagine him having a face, he would be deadpanning right now.
"I don't care." The reincarnate replied petulantly as she has her arms crossed and sits cross-legged in her mindscape, the same three swirling galaxies underneath her with the top small one used as a platform.
[Are you…getting jealous over a ten-year-old kid receiving Tiamat's affection?]
"I'm not jealous, just protective considering who Gilgamesh will be like in the future, if he ever finds out her true nature, he might do something to her." She responds with denial to Ea's sword form floating in front of her.
[For Tiamat's well-being, or for her cuddles?]
"Yes~." Jasmine dragged the word with a scary amount of longing, not even lying about her answer, and if one were to pay attention, her eyes were covered in shadow as they turned a dull gold, and her hair threatened to shift a rusty dull red.
[You watch way too much anime in your first life than it should be healthy.]
"You fool! There is no such thing as watching too much anime! In fact, leave my anime out of this! Hell, I haven't watched anime ever since after my death, and I suffer the worse billion-year withdrawal even now, so don't open those old scars on me!" Jasmine rebutted heatedly and zealously while pointing at Ea, her inner Otaku feels affronted for him to even say such blasphemy.
[But you slumbered throughout that billion-year timeframe.]
"Semantics!" Jasmine swiftly replies.
[…]
SMACK!
"Ow~! Ea why?" The older woman whines with indignation, rubbing her head at her alter ego that used his red sigil drilled blade to whack her at the top of her head, not even noticing that her eyes turned back to the Emerald green, and her hair returned to its beautiful vibrant shade of red.
[For being an idiot, and leave this place, you still got Gilgamesh to watch over, also Jasmine?]
The Sword of Rupture leans menacingly to his host, who leans back in trepidation.
[Control yourself and act your age.]
"Bu-"
[Pecking order.]
"OH GOD NO!" The redhead Screams in terror and exits her mindscape quick, fast and in a hurry as Ea poised his blade up in the air to signify that he's about ready to whack her again if she didn't comply.
Ea huffs in satisfaction as he flips the blade down, floats to the center point his host once occupied a moment ago.
[Good grief that girl, 13.8 billion years old and she still acts like a child.]
"I'll say."
A man whose skin that is as dark as the blackest void appears beside Ea out of nowhere while speaking sinisterly.
[OH GOD NO!]
"AH HA HA HA HA!" The round genie like man laughs slowly and evilly with his red lips formed in a smile and round eyes staring deep in Ea's core who screams in horror and despair.
(Omake: Non-Canon = End)
I hope you enjoyed the Omake! Wrath of Vajra signing off!
