Yes! Finally! Another wonderful love story from our beloved SyaoranxSakura couple. I have been meaning to write this plot for two years, but I didn't get the luxury to do so. But now that I do, I'm so excited! My long wait is over! I hope you will love this fanfic work, just like how you loved Topsy Turvy. Oh, expect an update next week from Topsy Turvy too. I will upload a new chapter no matter what it takes. I have given up so much time already, so it's finally time to do what I love. Cheers!

I'm also planning to look for a beta-reader, since I don't have one for this story. If you're interested, please let me know. I will be pleased to work with you. Thank you!

Sapphira-hime signing out! Hihihi. Enjoy reading!

CHAPTER ONE: The Beginning After the End

"Can love conquer death?"

I believe everything in this universe started from love, after all,

The Almighty is love Himself.

LI SYAORAN

I knew cliché writers used this description too often to my liking. However, I couldn't find a better narration for my present situation. Why did I call it cliché?

Well, as soon as I opened my brown amber eyes, everything was literally white, as you would find in a monotonous cubed-like room of a health facility. The usual scene you would see in a movie: A character slowly wakes up after a seemingly prolonged sleep in an unknown room without recollection of why he was here in the first place.

In order not to make me sound banal, I chose this first satisfying line from my lips.

"Please don't tell me I'm in a damn hospital."

"My, for a young child like yourself, you tend to assume," a soft gentle voice amusedly commented beside me. "And a little too calm for his situation, if I might add."

My head suddenly turned to where the voice came from and met the gentlest and kindest gray eyes that I thought could have never existed in this dirty, corrupt, and manipulating world.

"Who the hell are you?" I asked cautiously, wondering if this was one of those men who never get tired of trying to take my life. The man seemed entertained at my question. "Who sent you here to kill me? Another traitor from my clan? How much do you want?"

Despite the accusations I made against this man, he only gave me a glimpse of fascination. I could feel my stomach stirred in the wrong way. My reliable gut told me that I mistook him for someone else. He didn't have the slightest murderous intent. The atmosphere that this man exuded was out of this world. I could not find the right words to describe it.

The hell? Why do I feel like the bad guy between the two of us?

My prideful ego refused to show any kindness to this man. So what if there was a huge possibility that he saved my life? I could simply pay him handsomely or give him a generous reward.

"Hmn? I wonder who I am to you?" The man pondered, resting his chin on one of his hands. I couldn't help but give this stranger one of my iciest glares. It was as if he had mocked me with his question. Then he straightened his posture and said, "It seems useless for me to introduce myself to you, my child."

What is this son of a bitch spouting now? I thought annoyingly to myself while trying to keep my emotions intact. This was a huge progress from the same old script that I kept hearing from my pursuers, who repeat the usual lines "I am here to take your life," "I was sent to kill you," "This is the end for you."

"Just name your price. Don't bother telling me who sent you. I can care less about the asshole," I ordered and began to be impatient. I had to leave this place as quickly as possible. I didn't want to give the bastard who wanted me dead a chance to celebrate my supposed demise. "Then tell me where I am. If you can arrange for my transport, I would give you more. Don't even consider refusing my offer. I'm Li Syaoran. No one else in this world can offer you a bountiful reward, as I do. I will also sign a contract to not report you to the authority or send you to prison.

I smirked when the calm expression of the man turned into a delightful one. Tsk. I thought so. This guy was waiting for a high prize from me. Another gold digger at my sight.

"Hurry up, don't waste my time."

"Well, if you insist, my child…" The man began with an enthusiastic tone. If I hadn't known his true motive, I would have fallen for his friendly act. "I was worried you'd be ruder to me, to be honest."

Sorry, old man, Li Syaoran only trusts himself. No one can fool me.

I almost let out a sneer and already guess the reward he would ask me. Dealing with this type of self-serving people was a child's game to me.

"You know me by many names, my child, because I am the Creator of this universe." I could feel chills running down my spine when I heard the most comical, preposterous, absurd line a writer could ever write. If I had previously found it difficult to describe this man, it was now impossible to give him a description. "And although it may not seem like it, we are currently outside the gates of My Kingdom."

"The hell are you saying, old man? Don't act moronic on me now."

"The reason you are here, my child, is that you are dead." What a huge turn of events. It was not a dull story, contrary to what I expected. I was even impressed with the man's creativity. I was no longer of this world? Yeah. An enjoyable one. "To answer your last question, the payment I want for not sending your soul straight to hell is to obediently do what I will ask you to."

My eyes widened for a few seconds as I suddenly watched the ground turn into a clear view of hell. Feel free to imagine what I have just experienced. Fire everywhere, painful horror screams, souls swimming in the lava without dying, and much more. All the horrible dreadful things you could ever imagine.

Great. Just great, Li Syaoran. You are freaking dead. Worse, you have the Almighty telling you that your soul should burn in hell. I told myself sarcastically and tried to find a way to escape this awful situation, which I never failed to do. You can't lose now. Not until you make the scums pay for what they did to you.

"Pardon?" I heard myself ask in a more respectful tone than before. The fate of my poor soul was now at the palm of His hands. "Don't You think hell's a bit too harsh for me as punishment?"

This was unfair. I have never committed a single crime in my entire life, especially not one that will justify my eternal damnation. The Almighty stared at me sadly, and for some reason I couldn't help but feel guilty about it.

"Even after you saw me in person, you still refused to acknowledge me, my child." His words made me confused. What did He mean by that? Who wouldn't know the Creator? Even the agnostics and atheists used the non-existence of the Almighty as an argument to entertain whatever unorthodoxy they were so proud of. "Do you not believe in Me?"

It was not as if I did not believe in the existence of the Almighty. I simply did not have the time to think about His role in my life. How could I not know Him? His many names were everywhere. I could not have mistaken His identity, even if He was described and viewed from different perspectives by humanity. Unfortunately, people tend to believe and impose on others what was convenient for them.

"I don't know what you're talking about." For the first time in my life, I felt ashamed after observing the hurtful expression of the indescribable face of the Almighty. "You told me that you're the Creator of this universe. You showed me hell. What's not to believe?

"For your misdeeds in the mortal world, you should be sent to hell the moment you died," the Almighty explained in a melancholy tone. "But because of my faithful promise to a precious child who loves me dearly, I had to make an exception for your case.

What was He implying? Was He mocking my death? Who in this goddamn world would pray for the salvation of my soul? I couldn't help but laugh at the grotesque idea. Someone who asked to spare my life was more unbelievable than being told I was dead, and I was supposed to suffer forever in hell. I could bet my life on it. If I attempted to give someone my whole fortune out of desperation, he would rather throw it all back at me and burn my soul for eternity.

People who knew the name Li Syaoran would probably wonder why this was the case for an individual as powerful and influential as me.

They didn't know a damn thing.

"Are you making a fool of me, Almighty?" I knew I was speaking to the most powerful being in the universe, but so what? I was dead, and my soul was about to be sent to the lake of fire anytime soon. Why bother giving respect? My life was doomed. "Who the hell would pray for me?"

"You can't judge everyone as wicked people just because you've treated them wrongly." The Almighty smiled sincerely at me as He answered my questions. Did that mean someone prayed for my safety? That was too surreal to take in. "My child, do you know you're the worst person you can be with?" You only bring pain and suffering to the people who knew you."

"Not the first time I heard it."

"Since I know you don't like to wait, I'll not waste any more time, my child."

Was the Almighty giving me a second chance in life? I wondered curiously to myself. Do I have to be a virtuous person after that? Just thinking about it made me sick.

"What do You want me to do? Give my fortune to charity? Fight for world peace? Spread Your Holy Word?"

"I think the proposal I have for you will be easier than giving up your wealth." An image suddenly appeared in front of us, and before my brilliant mind could process anything, the Almighty continued. Trust me, of all the madness I heard after waking up, this was probably the strangest of all. "I will give you your normal life back and a guaranteed ticket to heaven under this simple condition..."

I felt I was holding my breath and anticipating His command 'Go and do good under my name.' My mouth fell open when I heard the words of the Almighty say to me.

"…make this girl's life miserable, and I will grant you a second chance to live."

My salvation from eternal damnation.
