Chapter 410

"The Pimp Chronicles"

"Damn." Eva hissed through the iron bars of the dungeon. She'd been thrown into jail with the typical riff raff of the night. Vagrants, pick pockets and a few harlots that had gotten too aggressive were her roommates for the time being.

(That bitch really double-crossed me.) Eva thought. (Prince.) Eva was salivating for the moment he returned. However, the more-and-more she thought about it, the more grim her chances seemed.

If the deal with the Promised Lands was really as important as she believed it was, Eva likely wouldn't be there when Prince returned.

Would they kill her? Maybe, well, maybe not; there was no telling what Carmella would do while on her power trip.

Sell Eva? That was a huge possibility given the situation. Regardless of how the chips fell, Eva silently made a promise to herself. (Carmella will pay for this. She'll pay.)

Suddenly, an extra guard entered the dungeon and after a quick short discussion with the sentry, he approached the shared iron cell, "Ladies, you're free to go."

The harlots breathed sighs of relief and hurried out of the cell.

(Wait.) Eva thought. She cleared her throat. (He said ladies.) "Yes." Eva acted, following the women out of the cell.

The sentry seemed oblivious to the situation. In his eyes, they were all inmates. Their crimes? He didn't care. His only task was guarding them. Eva slipped by without any resistance.

She followed the women out of the dungeon and through the stone passageway until they reached another guard who stood beside a man wearing lime-green pants, an ornamented vest and strange hat that she'd never seen before.

"Hold up?" The head sentry shook his head, counting the ladies. "I thought there were only four of them."

The man wearing the strange hat chuckled, "Ya know, I'ma pimp, ain't no hiding it, pimping ain't easy but I'ma pimp. A big pimp so maybe you lost count of how many hoes I have." He smiled.

The head-guard didn't seem amused by the comment.

"I'll tell you what," The man wearing the strange hat leaned over, "If one of your guys took one of my girls off the books and mistreated her, then, I think we'll have a problem."

"We already have a problem, Godfather." The head-guard exhaled, "You only paid enough gold for four."

The Godfather shrugged, "My man, how long have we known eachother. Can't you cut a pimp a break?"

The ladies all held their hands together in prayer and support.

Eva, nearly shrieked, but clapped her hands together. (I have to stay in character.) She thought.

The head-sentry took a deep breath. "Ehh, because it's you. Just this one time."

"My man." The Godfather smiled.

(Yes.) Eva thought. (Wait? Does that mean I have to be one of his hoes now?) She wondered.

The ladies all wrapped their arms around the Godfather.

"Red Lobster," The Godfather called, "Ladies," he smiled, "let's go home."

(Red Lobster?) Eva gawked. She then pursed her lips together and linked her arms with one of the ladies and followed The Godfather out of the cell.
