Marinette went to school right away. She didn't even bother to say goodbye to her parents as she rushed out holding her lunch bag in her mouth. She then tripped over a crack in the sidewalk.

"Hi." Félix said.

"Uhhh... heh heh. Hi. How'd you get...?" Marinette's face turned red.

"You dropped something." Félix showed her the lunchbox.

"You can really hit the ground when you're in a hurry. If ya know what I mean!" Marinette chuckled nervously.

Félix laughed happily like he didn't have a care in the world, but deep down, he was hiding the pain he felt from yesterday.

"Can't land on all fours like a cat! But in all seriousness thank you!" Marinette grabbed her lunchbox.

"You're welcome. You have a nice lunchbox by the way. Reminds me of a forest of cherry blossoms." Félix said.

"Oh! Heh heh! Thank you, I designed it myself!" Marinette smiled.

"That's amazing!" Félix's eyes beamed. They were kind of mesmerizing to her.

"By the way, did you see that superhero yesterday? Called herself Ladybug. The way she ran away from that cat guy was crazy! And she like suddenly made the cars turn back to normal! Not to mention this random girl helped her!" Félix said.

"I know right?! But I gotta go. I know I'm not late for school but there's been a lot on my mind and I wanna get there nice and early." Marinette said, trying to dodge the conversation. The boy was way too friendly.

She quickly turned around and walked, holding her lunchbox.

"Wait, why is your back slightly red?" Félix asked.

"Oh no..." Tikki thought.

"It's uhh... The paint! Yeaaah! The paint I used on this new dress design I made! I'll show you after school!" Marinette lied.

"Sounds neat! See you then!" Félix waved.

Once she walked off, Félix sighed in contempt. He knew gaining her trust would take time, but his mother was more impatient than a fast food customer. He hoped not to fall in love with the girl, ruining the plan all together.
