Hello, Everyone! It's ya boi, BlazingFiend! A Lot has happened with my life since the last time I actually made a chapter for a story I had high hopes for! I had a family member a few months before I made the prologue pass away. My mom had a divorce, & overall just had a stressful time overall. Things might start looking up though, so I figured I should come back & address quite a few things.
First things first, I'd like to apologize to everyone that has begged me to continue uploading chapters for this story. Don't get me wrong, I still intend to go through this story as I had wanted to. But for the longest time, I've just had a hard time getting the motivation to even bother with my story. & to be completely honest with you all, some of the comments that were critical of my work, while it did give me insight on what to fix for my stories, it also kinda demotivated myself to continue with the story. But, that is beside the point.
Second point, like I said it did demotivate me. However, to keep the honesty on point; I'm not a very good writer/storyteller. I often have a hard time thinking of good details & such to put within a story. I also have a bit of a one-track mind when it comes to writing, so if by chance I make a character seem less powerful than they are canonically (or the opposite as with The Demon Prince from Dark Souls) or I make the story incredibly quicker than it should be, it would be because of that.
Third point, now I have read a lot of fanfiction even before I made this story, & I still have after I went on hiatus. So I do know that a lot of the time when you see a chapter dedicated to the type of content that I am currently typing up as we speak, usually people will say it is going on an indefinite hiatus or they are giving up on the story or passing on their idea to another more talented writer. I won't be doing any of those… (except maybe a hiatus, but that will be to do what I'll get to in a bit.) I do urge anyone to make far better content so that the communities of Re:Zero & Dark Souls do not stagnate into no return. But I am not giving up on this series, not by a long shot.
Fourth & final point, I will be continuing the series. But before I can do that, I must rework Chapter 1. So while this is not the updated chapter that some of you may have wanted, just know that I am working on it. Closing thoughts: I know a lot of what I typed is probably a jumbled mess; but I'm trying my best to show that I am serious about this. Anyways, it's kind of late; I have a job interview tomorrow, so I need some rest. To the harsher critics. I still appreciate the critique that you all have given me, it's more or less my fault for letting it get me down & out of it with the story. Thank you for the advice you all have given me so far; I intend to incorporate all advice you all have given! Also to everyone that has enjoyed this mess of a story, I thank you for giving it time out of your day to read!
