Chapter 442
"Regole"
Bloodstone Tower did not challenge Sasha or Sonya. They entered the tower, were faced with simple puzzle. Using her memories, Sasha unveiling the solution before destroying the tower's Captain and Vice-Captain with Frahma. Even two-on-one there wasn't enough strength to damage Frahma. After Bloodstone Tower fell under the Swords control, Sasha and Sonya flew back. They didn't bring the defeated Captain and Vice-Captain. Sasha coldly told them, "You'll never touch the back of my dragon. If you want to walk among the Swords, then you'll find your own way to us." Before departing for the camp on the back of her Dragonite.
As they glided over Atlantis, they watched as clusters of emerald-green pyreflies gathered and in a bright glow of light, Regole, one of the eleven cities of Atlantis bloomed before her eyes.
"Regole?" Sonya mouthed. "If I remember it correctly. That city is Regole."
Sasha pulled her long aqua-blue hair into a ponytail to combat the wind resistance, "It is Regole. Which means soon more souls should be returning to the city once they bypass the Spiritomb?"
The wind scratched tears out of the open eyes of Sonya. She was inclined to close her eyes to counter the wind, but she couldn't take her eyes off the magic that was occurring beneath them.
Right before her eyes, she was witnessing a city be reborn.
Then, moments later, the city brimmed with silver light as more life and energy poured into it.
"Another tower must have fallen." Sasha stated. "Prince and Mandy maybe." Sasha patted the throat of Frahma, signaling for more speed before tightening her grip on the scales of the Dragonite.
Moments later, a ray of golden light erupted from the city. And then, a beacon of violet blossomed in the south. "Two more towers." Sonya called. "So that makes four, we've already knocked out four towers."
"Five," Sasha added, "including your and Mandy's tower. Regole should be fully powered. All that remains is the lost souls returning and making sure they're not brainwashed by Sithis."
"How are you going to do that?" Sonya asked.
"Hopefully," Sasha shouted over the wind, "The Spiritomb will handle it. If not, we have electric pokemon that can purge the links from their bodies."
"So electricity frees people from Sithis' control?" Sonya asked.
"Right now it's the only way we know to free people." Sasha explained. "A Zap Cannon is just enough juice to get the parasite, or whatever it is Sithis puts into them, out of their body."
Sonya nodded. "Should I get an electric type to assist with that?"
"If you want." Sasha turned to Sonya, "Have you thought about what we talked about earlier?"
"Yes," Sonya nodded, "And I accept. After seeing your strength, I think you could be the one that fixes this world. I'll be your Medjai."
Sasha smiled, "Perfect. I'll have the pharaoh bleed you in tonight."
"Bleed me in?" Sonya closed her eyes, hoping her lashes would bat the windswept tears away.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine." Sasha said as their speed slowed and they began to descend.
