Chapter 454
"Give Into Me"
For Prince, Rihanna's lips were a conduit to her entire body.
When Prince felt the soft lushness of her lips against his, it was like he'd connected with her entire body and soul. Everything felt softer and lusher as their lips stroked against eachother.
Rihanna's hands peeled the leather jacket off his shoulders, discarding it into the grass. Then, her hands found their way to his waist, grabbing the bottom of his shirt and deadlifting it over his shoulders.
Prince's neck-length dreadlocks danced under the starlight as he looked down at her petite frame. Rihanna's hand traced up his sternum, neck and then around the back of his head as she pulled him into another kiss.
"Let yourself go," Rihanna whispered. She pulled his body closer to the warmth of her own.
Then, she felt his hands coil around her body, the soft tug of her dress squeezing her body, then, it fell, cascading into the grass and exposing her body to the elements. He'd undressed her a lot faster than she expected, but she didn't mind. In her culture, the body was an art form. One she was never shy to express and share with the world.
With only the crickets of the Darkwater Lake as their audience, Prince unbuckled his pants, nearly tripping over them and drawing a giggle from Rihanna's lips as he laid her body into the grass. Working together, they peeled his jeans off and kicked them into the nearby water doused blades of grass and soil.
Was anyone coming? What if someone saw them?
Those thoughts orbited Prince's mind as he lay in the grass with the Nephillim Vice-Captain.
What if Sasha sees us?
Then, what if Eva sees us?
"Wait," Prince tore his lips away from hers and sat in the grass.
Rihanna, offended by his sudden withdrawal sat up, "What is it?" Checking for insects that may be itching his skin, but she felt nothing on her own skin. Seeking any logical reason that would cause him to stop. In the darkness, it was impossible to find anything. She rubbed his shoulder and asked, "What's wrong? Don't you want to?"
Prince turned to her, under the starlight she was an erotic chocolate bunny just waiting to be taken by the lone wolf of the Swords. She stared at him, beckoning him to take her. Her body calling to him and praying for him to make a move. Her eyes taunting him and daring him to move.
Rihanna said nothing; she stared at him, her body exposed and ripe as a peach under the spring sun.
Prince sighed, "I-"
"You've never fucked outside of a bedroom before?" Rihanna guessed. "Never outside?"
Although Eva clapped her hands together in sync with the others, she couldn't help but feel disconnected from all of them.
She'd agreed with The Swords that using Zap Cannons and interrogating the resurrected Atlantians was not the answer. It was just too brutal of a practice and there was no way to account for who had already been tested. It would eventually lead to a rebellion if they continued.
(Prince?) Eva placed her hand over her heart. (Are you okay?) She wondered, sitting her glass of water down.
After being shot down, Prince had wandered off by himself. He said nothing to no one. He retreated into a forest of solitude while the rest of the Swords ventured deeper into Regole.
(Where are you?) She wondered, staring at the reflection of the tavern's lights in the water of her cup. (Are you still mad at us? At me?)
(We're at war. We know that but we can't treat people wrong. We have to try our best to be fair. I hope you understand.) Eva thought. (I'll talk to him. I'll make him understand that I wasn't against him, I was just trying to be fair to the people of Atlantis.) Eva abandoned her glass of water and stood.
"Hey," Seth called, "You okay?"
"Yeah," Eva admitted, "I'm just going to explore the city a bit."
Seth glanced around the tavern, noting that Eva was alone, "By yourself?"
"Yeah." Eva nodded. "I'm just going to stretch my legs."
Seth turned to the celebration of Sonya's indoctrination into the Order of the Medjai. The group seemed very invested and absorbed with it. "You're gonna be okay by yourself?"
"Yeah," Eva assured him. "Why? Is there something I should be worried about?"
"Well," Seth scratched his head, "We kinda are at war with Sithis and all."
Eva stared at Seth, "So you agree with Prince? That we should interrogate and test everyone?"
"All I'll say," Seth sighed, "Is that no one was entirely wrong. Prince's reasons made sense but so did you guys."
(You guys?) Eva meditated on his words for a moment. (I'm with them and against Prince? Is that how he sees it? Is that how he sees me now?) Eva hadn't realized it at the time but it now made more sense to her. "But you didn't really say anything back then?"
"I couldn't," Seth admitted, "I was torn. Like I said, both sides had a point that made sense to me. I was in the middle. I still am."
Eva exhaled; she wished she had done the same. Now Prince felt alone. By himself against the group that he'd journeyed with and fought together alongside.
(I've gotta find him. I've gotta make him understand.) Eva decided. "I'm gonna go." Eva stated.
"Where to?" Seth asked.
"Just out." Eva said, "Why do you care so much?"
"We haven't set a meetup point. No one knows where we'll sleep tonight." Seth explained. "I'm just trying to make sure we stay together as a group."
"But you're not worried about Prince?" Eva highlighted.
Seth exhaled, "Well, he needs his space right about now. I was thinking about going to look for him in a minute."
"I'll find him." Eva volunteered. "I'll look for him while I'm exploring the city."
"Well," Seth watched the group continue its celebration, "Everyone knows this place, right? I guess we'll meet up here in the morning and plan our next move."
"Okay," Eva nodded. "I'll see you tomorrow." She waved, heading out of the tavern.
