A fellow writer here on Fanfiction itachikitsune wrote the dialogue and some of the battle. I just edited a few things. I'm really sorry about the long wait for this chapter, bad writer's block, and life's been a little hectic. Also, I finally came up with a name for Madeline's dad. It's Faith.

Madeline

Master Snowy

Madeline's POV

I change back into my human form since I did have something I wanted to tell him.

"You did learn to switch forms. Good for you. Too bad it won't help you get your mother back," Julio says.

"Why's that?"

"My spell's irreversible Little Girl. Nothing can break it. And besides, do you think you are strong enough to beat me? After all, I've had your mother under my control for a long time." Julio says.

"Yes, you have. I'll give you that, but nothing can truly break a mother's love for her child, and it will prevail no matter the odds," I say confidently.

I change back into my leopard form and start fighting Julio. He is about to grab my tail. I do a backflip then close my eyes. I let out a low growl as I open my eyes and hear Juilo gasp as a second snow leopard appears next to me.

"Amazing, Madeline can call on her leopard spirit even when she is in her animal form," Dai Shi gasps.

Normal POV

Dai Shi steps in when he sees that Julio can't handle her and then tries to make her animal spirit submit to him. Then her mom starts showing signs of breaking free from the spelling because another cat is trying to make her daughter yield. She finally snaps out of it completely when Julio joins Dai Shi to make her theirs, and then she loses her temper. Both suddenly freeze in their actions as they hear an enraged screech and slowly turn to face her mother. What they see shocks them to the core. Her mother is surrounded in a white glow before she locks eyes with Julio and Dai Shi.

"How dare you try to make my daughter submit to the likes of you! She's mine, and no one touches my little girl! I'm through being used!" Master Snowy screams.

A few seconds later, The white glow suddenly disappeared as Maser Snowy Dones her animal form. There was another screech as she flew over to her daughter and landed on her back. Madeline starts to feel her form a telepathic connection with her mother.

Mom, are you really free from Julio's spell? You aren't going to attack me, are you?

Yes, it's me. I did break free because of you, Sweetie. No, I'm not going to attack you. I'm sorry I was gone for so long.

It's OK, mom, it wasn't your fault. Julio's charm just took you in.

Yes, I was, but we can talk about this later. Let's get them, Honey.

Absolutely, let's show what two Pai Zhuq masters can do.
Then another Snowy Owl suddenly landed beside Madeline, and they both looked at Dai Shi and Julio. Both let out growls of rage at seeing the mother standing beside her daughter, once again back to normal.

"No! You can't have broken free!" Julio screams.

Dai Shi smirked as he looked at the little leopard trying to masquerade as a Pai Zhua master. However, he did have to give young Madeline credit for trying. He hadn't honestly thought she'd have the guts to go toe to toe with them to get her mother back. Clearly, he'd been wrong. Regardless, there was no way this little kitten was going to win against a full-grown cat like him. He wouldn't allow that event to come to pass. Dai Shi quickly transformed, and Julio followed his lead with a snarl. Rage burned hot like molten lava in both their veins, and Maddie blinked in surprise. She hadn't known they knew how to go back and forth between forms as well.

Dai Shi transformed, and Julio followed his lead with a hiss that honestly sounded more like a shriek. Rage burned hot like molten lava through both their bodies, and they were shocked at how fast it engulfed them. It was eerily similar to that of a tidal wave. It hit you fast, hard, and mercilessly. Maddie blinked in surprise at both of them. She hadn't known that they, too, knew how to switch back and forth between their animal forms as she did. It didn't matter, though, because either way, they were going to pay and quite a steep price for daring to turn her mother into a living marionette. Julio opened his mouth, baring his fangs without hesitation. His tail slowly moved back and forth while he kept his eyes locked onto Maddie, though she had yet to move. She thought that his animal spirit being a snake, matched his personality perfectly. It was two-faced, twisted, and rotten down to the very marrow of its bones, just like he was. Maddie felt as if she were prey to the two other animals, despite being actually a predator just like they were.

Dai Shi stood next to Julio in his lion form, stalk still. They all seemed to be eyeing each other. Nobody wants to be the first one to make a move. That rapidly changed in the next three seconds. Dai Shi suddenly shifted, looking as if he was getting into the same play bow position that dogs usually imitated when they wanted to mess around with each other. He suddenly lunged forward with a snarl, and Maddie dropped to the ground, quickly curling up into a ball on her side while tucking her tail. Dai Shi sailed overhead, smacking into the wall. He slid down, hitting the ground with a thud. Once he had, Maddie straightened herself out and was instantly on her feet, turning her attention to Julio, who was suddenly gone. Maddie's eyes darted around the room, frantically trying to locate the elusive reptile without moving anything but her head. When that didn't work, she tried another tactic. Maddie closed her eyes and suddenly went limp without falling to the ground. She slowed her breathing down to almost nothing and stopped trying to see where Julio was. It was time to put those dormant hunting instincts into play and rely on her other four senses. She was a feline, after all. Dai Shi's head spun, and he desperately tried to make it stop by shaking his whole body while getting up onto wobbly legs. It didn't work. If anything, it made the dizziness he already felt skyrocket up to an utterly unbearable level. He fell to the ground, mewling in pain before he suddenly transformed back. Thankfully there were no broken bones, just very heavy bruising, but Dai Shi knew he wouldn't rejoin the fight. He was out for the count, and he knew it. He just hoped Julio could handle her. Maddie tensed, her eyes snapping open as she was finally able to pinpoint just where Julio had gone by the faint hissing she was suddenly able to hear as if it was mere inches away from her ears. Maddie tilted her head back, easily spotting Julio on the ceiling. His tail was crammed into a small indentation, which obviously kept him from falling to the ground before he was ready. Julio may have been an evil, manipulative, sweet-talking, psychopathic nutcase, but even Maddie had to admit that what he'd done had been nothing short of pure genius.

He'd have to be one heck of a sweet talker to get her mother to go out with him, let alone become engaged since it was a well-known fact that Master Snowy was no pushover. Julio was looking right at her, and Maddie knew that if she'd been standing directly underneath him, that she'd be getting absolutely soaked with venom. Maddie suddenly dashed towards the wall and started hearing a broken-up hissing as she did. Shock coursed through her body in waves as she realized he was laughing at her, and she wondered how on earth he could express his mirth while being in snake form. Julio eyed her, amusement clear in his eyes.

If he weren't already in snake form, he'd be pointing his finger at her like a child. He knew there was no way she could reach him no matter what she tried. Or so he thought. The amusement suddenly drained from his face as she climbed the stone wall, her claws easily finding purchase in the little nooks and crannies. They almost seemed to be specially made just for her claws, and she couldn't help but grin at the stunned look on his face. He was a snake, so she couldn't really read him, but somehow she just knew what he was thinking. She rapidly closed the distance between them, transitioning smoothly from running up the wall to being upside down and running across the ceiling. She made it to him and snapped her teeth, just missing his scales by mere inches. He yanked his tail free and fell towards the ground, Maddie following suit.

She twisted around, so she landed on her feet, and Julio landed on his own tail, rearing up with a hiss. He suddenly bolted forward, poised to strike. He ducked low, clearly aiming to bite her legs, but she saw it coming. She jumped over him and twisted around mid-air to face him. She hit the ground, digging her claws in as she did so she didn't slide. Julio whirled around in response and slithered towards her at a lightning-fast pace. Maddie roared, more than done with this little game of cat and mouse they were indulging in. She suddenly ran forward, keeping low to the ground, and went to grab him with her teeth once again. He suddenly shrunk down seconds before she had him and swung his tail like a whip. She went flying into the air and hit the wall stomach first. Julio wasted no time in utilizing the small gift he was given and lunged at her. She let herself slide down the wall, waiting until the last second to right her legs underneath her and push off the wall. She did a backflip over him, and because of the speed he'd built up, Julio couldn't stop. She twisted herself around mid-air, and it was the first time Julio truly began to fear Fiona's daughter. The feeling of his scales sliding between her teeth made her mentally smile, and she clamped down, making sure he couldn't wriggle free. Julio felt like he was in the middle of vice and really wondered whether it'd been worth all this to have Fiona at their mercy. She landed on the ground and finally gave in to the fury that had been simmering underneath her skin. She shook him like the filthy vermin he was and finally let him go when she could no longer stand the taste of deceit in her mouth. Julio felt like a ragdoll by the time she was done, and Maddie didn't feel an ounce of guilt when he smacked into the wall and fell into a crumpled heap right next to Dai Shi. He reverted to his human form with a groan, and Maddie looked up when she heard several inhales of breath. There the masters stood, staring at her as they'd never seen her before. Master Lep suddenly snapped out of his shock and grinned at his daughter.

"Well done, Sweetie," Master Lep says.

Maddie changed back and returned the grin tenfold right before her eyes rolled back, and she headed face-first towards the floor. Master Lep ran across the floor to catch her and landed on his knees. He caught her in his arms, and a small smile came to his face as he saw the tension finally bleed from her body.

"That's my fierce little cub. You've more than earned your strips," Master Lep says.

"She shook him, she actually shook him like a dog toy, and there isn't one mark on him," Rose says.

"Yes, it's truly incredible, the amount of restraint she used, despite being mad enough to tear him apart," Master Lep says as he places Madeline on Rose's back.

"He did hurt her mother. After all, he deserves to wake up sore and bruised in the morning," Rose says

" No argument here on that," Master Lep says.

"Faith, how are you alive," Fiona asks as she places her hand on his cheek.

"Let's talk about this back at Rose's house, my love," Master Lep says.

"Yes, it's a much better place for Madeline to rest instead of on my back," Rose says.
