Chapter 460

"The World Is Yours"

With tears in her eyes, Eva bolted from Darkwater Lake and into the night.

Prince wanted to chase after her. Prince also wanted to pretend she had never come there. She'd chosen which side she was on.

Rihanna seemed unbothered by Eva's discovery. She simply stared at Eva, daring her to make a move.

Eva decided to leave with no confrontation. She disappeared into the night.

Rihanna didn't try to sway Prince back to her. She watched, and waited. And then, he turned to her, rebelliously kissed her lips as a swift wind brushed their skin. "So," breaking the ice.

"I know a place where we can stay the night." Rihanna rolled out of his embrace and began collecting her clothes.

"This city just came back into existence." Prince thought aloud as he found his trousers. "How can you know 'a place'?"

It was a good question. Had Rihanna just occupied an empty or abandoned house or did she actually know a place?

"This land once belonged to us." Rihanna explained. "Us, the Nephillim, this was our home where we reigned. Then, love happened. The Nephillim Captain, of that time, fell in love, and in his death, his wives jealousy destroyed eachother leaving the throne to his only heir. That heir gave birth to a daughter who then gave birth to a son here in this city, Tamen."

Prince tried his best to follow the story Rihanna was telling. For him, the different names and cultures made it difficult to track. As he pulled his shirt on, Rihanna continued.

"As time went on, we slowly lost control of Atlantis. Tamen, our own, was so deeply in love with Ezra that he wanted to hear only her voice. So we were banished from Atlantis. We still maintained colonies throughout the Promised Lands but our base, our foothold was gone. And as the pharaohs rose, our power died day-by-day. At least, power in the eyes of those that never looked beneath the surface of things."

Prince took her hand and she led him through Regole. The pyrefly-lit city was painted neon under the starlight. As they passed what appeared to be a shopping district, Prince's eyes saw a variety of ancient tunics, the old fashions that had been lost to the modern world. There was no Gucci or Louis Vuitton in Atlantis. The rejuvenated city still displayed ancient fashions.

Rihanna led Prince past a mall, a few outdoor benches of what looked like restaurants and to a large high-rise. Holding hands, they climbed the stairs until they reached a door midway to the top and entered a small living space.

"Here we are." Rihanna muttered as she slid the door shut.

They stayed the night together in each other's arms, holding eachother in the darkness. Rihanna stared up at Prince, "I just wish you could see what you'll be. You will be the light of the world, Prince."

"The light?" Prince scoffed.

"The darkness that Sithis spreads, you'll be the light, Prince. I know you don't like your destiny but the swords were always meant to be the light. You are the light, Prince. The son of the gods. You'll light the way."

In the darkness, Prince shut his eyes. "Why-"

Rihanna cut him off, "Why not you? Who better than you to be the light of the world?"

Before Prince could speak, Rihanna placed a kiss on the back of his hand, "Atlantis will be your base. The start of your new world, this world is yours, Prince. Take it."

Prince gently held her, "The world is mine? Really?"

"Really." Rihanna squeezed his hand, "Soon, you'll be the one to revive this world into what it needs to be."

"What if I don't want that?" Prince iterated. "What if I just want to be at peace?"

"There can be no peace if you leave the world as it is." Rihanna stated. "If you could change anything about this world, what would it be?"

"I don't know." Prince admitted. "I mean, I guess we've all thought about it but never really thought it was possible."

"The pokemon are the way forward. A clean state for you to write the rules of a new world, Prince." Rihanna explained. "What would you change?"

"Racism would end." Prince began. "I'd punish it. I don't mind people not liking eachother but all that Aryan talk or even for the pro-blacks that takes it too far. Anyone with that mindset, they'd have to go if I ran the world."

"If?" Rihanna blinked. "You have the power to make it happen. Are you afraid to be powerful?"

"All powerful black men don't last too long. Look at X, Malcolm-"

"Look at Obama." Rihanna countered. "You'll do it your way and set the new world the way it needs to be. All you have to do is want to do it."

(Pokemon?) Prince patted the pokeball around his neck. The black dragon, Melbu. Could he really change the world with the power of pokemon? Could he really do it?

"The world can be yours, Prince." Rihanna kissed his hand, "All you have to do is want it and take it."
