Power of Three

16. Author's Note 2

Okay, forget what I said in my last note. Right now I am really having troubling focusing on writing Power of Three, and I do not have as much free time as before I posted the last note because I finally got transferred over to a new location for my job right around the time it got posted. Thank Lord for that! I am much happier there than I was at the old place, and while I am working more days now, I work less hours during the day. I have also finished school for the year so I won't have to do homework for a while, which should allow me to regain some free time.

Unfortunately, I am getting really distracted by EVERYTHING. Reading other writers' works, playing Xbox, watching YouTube, etc. I just can't seem to focus on writing PoT, and I am getting a lot of plot bunnies in my head, especially a very prominent and recurring one. It's frustrating and I can't figure out why this is happening. Which is why I want to try something new.

Effective immediately, Firebreather: Evolution and all my stories that are listed as "being worked on" will be put on hiatus, including PoT. I don't know when I get back to them, but I'll try to do so within a reasonable time.

I have really gotten into a new fandom and had a passion for an old fandom that I liked reemerge. And I am planning to write a story crossing over these two fandoms that is inspired by another crossover that has the new fandom in it. I want to get permission from the original writer of the story to write one a little similar to his but with my old fandom favorite and my own twists instead. I hope to see if he will give me the go-ahead to write it and if he wants to help me with writing it or at least review it as a beta or supervisor of sorts to make sure I'm being original and not ripping him off. I recently discovered his story and it is very good. Though I will need to create some new OCs and do some research (aka playing For Honor, which is the old fandom I like, I need to level up the fighters of the Knights to earn legendary gear so I can get visual inspiration for the OCs) for the story. The For Honor wiki does not have all the gear visuals for every character on the site so I will have to continue playing the game so I can get some pictures. My goal is to complete the story before I go back to writing on others.

I know I have been starting on multiple projects and seem to not be able to finish them before starting on new ones, and I am so sorry that I have possibly been stringing you guys along like this (at least that's what it feels like to me). Undoubtedly, some of you will get pissed at me for doing this to you and starting on new stories without finishing old ones, and I apologize for it and for being so unreliable right now. I really don't know what's going with my brain. Hopefully, I can achieve my set goal without making you guys wait for a very long time.

I have been working on Power of Three for over a year, so maybe I was due for a hiatus anyways. Maybe that's one of the good things I can take away from this.
