Chapter 1: A Dark Welcome
"How is my subject doing?" A tall man, wearing a purple suit, asks his workers.
"DK-TWD is responding, he is in healthy condition. Boss, this could be our first breakthrough!" One of the workers chimed in, excited about what they had just accomplished.
"Excellent... soon enough, our subject will..."
The Tall Man speaks to his workers and they kept the subject in check for another 9 months... or was supposed to...
"ALERT ALERT!" The alarms went off.
"What is happening, stabilize the reactors!"
"HURRY!" The Tall Man commanded.
Unfortunately for the lab, everything was going to implode.
"EVACUATE NOW!" The Workers and their boss escaped the lab just in time, and the entire underground lab was destroyed.
The lab was abandoned and the team moved on, moving away from the subject they created... alone underground...
3 months later...
The Heartland Security breaks in the lab door.
"Freeze, hands in the air!" The Heartland Security searches the lab for any traces of the subject.
"Keep your eyes out!" The Tall Chubby Chief commanded his privates.
"Hey boss, I found the room!" Immediately, the Security blasts the door down and finds an empty room where a giant test-tube vial, big enough for a Human to fit inside, was completely shattered and the liquid seemingly flowing out of it.
"He must have escaped just recently..." The Chief observes.
They find another room, a room that is full of patient suits, for the old team's created subjects.
Suddenly, a vent opens up and someone is on the run.
With an instant reaction, Heartland Security quickly exits out of the lab. "Get the subject!"
The Subject appears out of a vent wearing the patient suits and is on top of the building, while the Security was on the ground level.
"Subject is on the top, requesting backup!" The Chief talking through a radio.
Helicopters were flying over the building and had their light set on the subject.
"Chief we got the Target!"
"Enable, Heartland Barrier." The Chief speaks to his radio and immediately the subject was trapped within the barrier.
The subject was trapped and a Helicopter grabs the Chief and flies over to him.
"DK-TWD!" The Chief yells as he jumps off the Helicopter and lands right in front of the subject.
"You weren't supposed to be awake at this hour." He tells the subject.
"I was abandoned..." DK-TWD tells him.
The Chief Grunts. "So what, feeling lonely huh?"
"Kind of weird for an artificial creation to have emotion... just what exactly did they do to you?" The Chief Wonders.
"You are such a pain..."
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" The Chief barked at him.
". . ." The subject looks at the chief and immediately, from out of the shadows, a Hollow Duel Disk appears and the subject attaches it to his arm.
The Chief bursts in laughter. "You really think you can beat me in a duel, you have only just awakened to the real world, you don't know a thing about dueling!"
". . ." DK-TWD remains silent, agitating the chief quite a little.
"Alright you little punk, you asked for this... Get the braces!" He commands his privates and immediately electrical braces were attached to the chief and the subject.
"Duel..." The subject spoke creating an eerie sound.
"Heh, lets see what you are made of, DK-TWD!"
The Chief grabs his Duel Gazer and equips it onto his left eye.
DUEL START!
DK-TWD: 4000 LP VS CHIEF: 4000 LP
"Does this thing even know how to duel?" The Chief thought to himself as he cheats and redraws some cards in his hand.
"Draw." DK-TWD whispers as he looks at his cards.
"I summon, The Phantom Knights of Frayed Scythe." DK-TWD spoke as a spectral scythe like weapon is summoned onto the field.
THE PHANTOM KNIGHTS OF FRAYED SCYTHE: LEVEL 3, ATK/DEF: 1000/200
"Frayed Scythe's effect... I can destroy itself to add a Phantom Knights monster from my deck or graveyard to the hand, since I don't have anything in my graveyard I will add a Phantom Knights monster... I add the Phantom Knights of Torn Scales."
The Chief examined carefully. "Phantom Knights... he reminds me of that one kid that won some tournament a while back." He thought.
DK-TWD observes his next moves. "Next I activate a trap card from my hand, The Phantom Knights of Expedition."
"What, a trap from the hand!" The Chief screamed in concern.
"This Trap can only be activated from the hand if I have no cards on the field and I have no trap cards in my graveyard, now with Expedition, I select a Phantom Knights monster and reveal it." DK-TWD reveals his Phantom Knights of Torn Scales.
"Now Expedition is summoned onto the field in Attack mode and its level is equal to the monster I selected, so Level 3 and Expedition counts as a Phantom Knights monster card."
"And now, since I control a Phantom Knights monster, I special summon The Phantom Knights of Silent Boots."
THE PHANTOM KNIGHTS OF SILENT BOOTS: LEVEL 3, ATK/DEF: 200/1200
"Two level 3 monsters on the field... what is he planning?" The Chief wonders.
"Overlay!" DK-TWD expressing anger as he shouts.
The Barrier breaks due to the force created from the summon being too powerful.
"What is this?!" The Chief yes as a more powerful monster is summoned.
"Sword of the Darkness, muster your power!" DK-TWD radiates a purple aura.
"XYZ Summon, Be summoned the Knight of the everlasting darkness, The Phantom Knight of Break Sword!"
THE PHANTOM KNIGHTS OF BREAK SWORD: RANK 3, ATK/DEF: 2000/1000
"XYZ Summon?!" The entire Security force was shocked
"How does this guy know what XYZ summoning is!" The Chief asked.
DK-TWD looks at his body that he has control over. "I set a card and end my turn."
The Chief was a bit intimidated but then quickly regained focus.
"Doesn't matter, you are just some punk from a lab. I can deal with you!"
"Alright I draw, and effectively immediately I activate the Field spell card Area Lockdown!"
The surrounding area transformed into a caged part of the city, surrounded by caution tapes.
"With this field spell active, I can select one monster on the field and it can no longer attack and activate its monster effect as long as it is face up on the field!"
Break Sword was bound down by the field spell.
"And now, with a monster that has its effect negated is on the field, I can special summon from my hand my Wicked Predator!"
WICKED PREDATOR: LEVEL 6, ATK/DEF: 2300/1500
"And with Wicked Predator's effect, I can target one monster that has its effect negated and destroy it!" The monster bit the ghostly knight and destroyed it.
"Break Sword's effect..." DK-TWD quickly replies.
"How, Area should have negate-" With a sudden realization, the Chief remembers what his field spell did specifically. "As long as it is face up on the field!"
"My Break Sword when it is destroyed, I can target two Phantom Knights monster in my graveyard and special summon them on the field with an extra level added!"
Frayed Scythe and Silent Boots were summoned onto the field with an extra level.
"Alright then, with that, I summon Alien Calf!"
ALIEN CALF: LEVEL 3, ATK/DEF: 0/0
"Calf's special effect, allows me to target one monster on my field and it can attack directly but Calf is destroyed! I target my Predator!"
The Alien jumps on top of the Predator and is destroyed, giving Predator a much needed boost.
"Alright then, my Wicked predator will attack you directly!" The Chief thrusts his chunky arm to let his monster attack.
DK-TWD: 1700 LP VS 4000 LP
An electric shock came from the braces.
"Interesting." DK-TWD spoke as if he wasn't just hurt.
"What the hell!" The Chief was, no pun intended, shocked at the device not working.
"I thought we fixed those things!" He yelled over to his privates.
"S-sir, we tested it 5 hours before this and I don't know what is going on!"
The Chief shakes his head in disappointment. "Whatever!"
"Next I set two cards facedown and my turn is over!"
DK-TWD draws his card in silence, looking at what he can do.
"He is so weird looking... What exactly did the team do to him?" The Chief wonders.
"I summon The Phantom Knights of Torn Scales."
THE PHANTOM KNIGHTS OF TORN SCALES: LEVEL 3, ATK/DEF: 600/1600
"Torn Scales effect, I discard 1 card to send a Phantom Knights card from my deck to the graveyard."
"Perfect, now I send The Phantom Knights of Stained Greaves from my deck to graveyard and then I activate its effect, I banish itself to special summon The Phantom Knights of Ragged Gloves!"
THE PHANTOM KNIGHTS OF RAGGED GLOVES: LEVEL 3, ATK/DEF: 1000/500
"Two level 4s... and Two Level 3s... what exactly is he planning... a Number card perhaps? Wait no... The Number Cards are long gone... unless this guy somehow managed to get it ba-"
The ground began to shake, as if there was a tremor.
"What is this!" Everyone else wondered as a large dark cloud began to form.
"Overlay... Torn Scales and Ragged Gloves!"
"XYZ Summon, Phantom Knights of Break Sword!"
"HUH, Again?" The Chief was confused.
The Ground began to shake more ferociously.
"WHAT IS HAPPENING!" The Chief almost lost his balance.
"Crying out in despair in the chaos that is silence..." DK-TWD chanted creating an eerie silence.
"Come and take vengeance upon the fallen, XYZ Summon!" DK-TWD's eyes began to radiate a purple energy and forms a Duel Tattoo in the shape of a Dragon.
"Come and lend me your power, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"
DARK REBELLION XYZ DRAGON: RANK 4, ATK/DEF: 2500/2000
With the summon of the Dragon, it cries out.
"Oh Dear..." The Chief told himself, knowing that he will have to let DK-TWD loose.
"I am not finished there, Ragged Gloves gives my Break Sword 1000 more attack power. Then, next I activate my Dark Rebellion's effect, by detaching my materials I can target your Wicked Predator and it loses half of its attack and my dragon will gain that half!"
"Uh oh..." The Chief was getting nervous.
"And I am not yet done, I activate my Break Sword's effect, I detach a material and I can target a card on your field and my field and they are to be destroyed."
"I destroy your Predator and my Facedown card."
"Fine, but don't get cocky you artificial bastard!" The Chief remarks, hoping to make DK-TWD upset.
"Pathetic." DK-TWD replies. "My facedown trap card activates, Phantom Knights' Pierce!"
"What, No!" The Chief yells
"My trap can only be activated when destroyed by a card effect, and now Pierce allows me to target Facedown cards up to the number of XYZ monsters I have on the field and negate it until the end of this turn, since I control two, your two facedowns are negated!"
"N-NO!" The Chief realizing, he is doomed.
"Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, muster your power and strike him down!" DK-TWD commands his Dragon to attack.
"NO!" The Chief yells in defeat.
DK-TWD: 1700 LP VS CHIEF: 0 LP
GAME OVER
WINNER: DK-TWD!
The electric braces activate, shocking the Chief from the bottom to top.
"AHHHHHH!" He screams in agony.
DK-TWD quickly flees the scene as the Heartland Security faces a severe loss
"I can't believe it... 15 years on the force... and I lose an important duel..." The Chief falls to the floor and 10 Security Guards had to help lift him on the Helicopter...
In the shadows of Heartland City... DK-TWD hides... and is not seen much after...
"Impressive... I didn't expect him to be awoken this early... looks like the Project worked after all." The Tall man whispered to himself as he observed all that had happened.
"Soon, he will be known as... The Black Vortex." The Tall Man disappears into the night.
NEXT TIME ON ENTER THE BLACK VORTEX!
"Come here punk!"
"No way, I am not getting my ass kicked again, go my strongest monster!"
"...Interruption..." The Black Vortex enters the fray.
"Nani, it is the guy who is wanted, get him!"
"Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, attack."
Code: DK-TWD has escaped the Heartland Lab facilities and is on the loose. But are his intentions really that bad? Who is this DK-TWD and how did he appear into this Dimension, This world? And what really happened in that lab that was destroyed?
