Chapter 1
Who are they? Who is She?

"SHIT WE'RE ENCIRCLED!" Shizuka Shouted. "Rin! Take us into that garage over there. We can hide away and I can then get out to scout!"
Rin accelerated into the garage as quick as possible before slamming on the brakes.
Shizuka then got out of her commanders hatch about to survey the area looking for the position of the enemy and escape routes.
"Shizuka-Hime!"
Shizuka turned around to see Rin standing up out of her drivers hatch.
"I think you will be needing this. You should know by now not to forget…"
Shizuka gave her a cheeky smile and turned back around and left the building.
Shizuka climbed on top of a near-by house using a ladder to look over the top. She pulled out her binoculars and started spotting.
She noticed 2 Renault R35/40s as well as an FT17 and 2 short barrelled R35's blocking all 4 of the roads out of the town centre.
'Hmm, we are really in a pickle. How the absolute hell do we get out of this one. I didn't know they changed their doctrine this much! It's like our fight against Erika-san. Let's see if we can use shock and awe, its our only way out.
Screw it, before I go I might as well have some fun and invite our guests I guess…'
She took the bow off her back and took an arrow from the quiver. She nocked her bow and aimed at her target while drawing the string back to her cheek. She noticed the white flag, flying from the back of an FT17, helping her judge wind direction.
She let the arrow fly towards her target, with a feint sound as it flew through the air.
PING
"What the hell was that!" The commander of the flag tank shouted while noticing the arrow that landed right below her on her Ft-17's turret armour. She took her binoculars out and looked in the rough direction, where the arrow came from.
She noticed a girl. She had nice shoes, black tights, a red and black chequered skirt and then she noticed the iconic pink coat, red spotted bowtie and a big red ribbon holding her hair.
The commander became furious because of this. Her face bright red in anger of her being underestimated. She had long been wanting to win with her school since becoming commander, having been defeated in every match except 1.
"MOVE TO ENCIRCLE THE TOWN SQUARE! We Will slaughter her there."
Shizuka climbed down from the roof and started making her way back through the town.
'Bingo' She thought, knowing she pissed the enemy tank commander off.
"Rin, get into the town square now… We are about to entertain our guests." She said with a evil smile.
Rin fired up the engine and drove into the square, where Team Centipede was soundly met by 5 French tanks, blocking the exits.
Shizuka had a determined smile on her face as she saw a hard challenge ahead.
"Welcome to your fate Éclair... Shall we begin?"
The French tanks advance into the square, where 1 of the R35's was met with a 37mm round to their face, knocking them out. The other tanks opened fire, narrowly scraping the sides of the Te-ke.
With an advantage in manoeuvrability, Shizuka told Rin to "make the cattle destroy themselves..."
Rin started to manoeuvre around the tanks with speed. The R35s and FT17s couldn't track them. They struggled to keep up with the amount of movements made. They all fire attempting to hit the little Te-ke but ultimately, fail.
Shizuka noticing an opportunity sees them stuck in between 2 tanks facing her direction from the side.
"Rin, Hard brakes, get ready to go as soon as I say."
She sees a R35/40 and 1 more short barrelled R35 lining up their shots.
"NOW, HARD ON THE GAS!"
The 2 tanks fire on each other as the Te-ke moves, taking each other out in the process.
Rin drives around the centre fountain, ready to suddenly decelerate and allow Shizuka to get a shot off. Behind them though, a R35 was chasing and catching up.
"You ready Hime?"
"You bet… on my count"
"3"
"2"
"1"
"BRAKE!"
The Te-Ke suddenly grinds to a halt as a R35 speeds past them and suddenly brakes too in response but way too late.
A shout of "WHAT THE FUCK!" comes out of the turret of the R35 loudly, knowing they got outplayed with a simple maneuvour and are not in control to decide what happens to them any longer.
"FIRE!"
A white flag popped up from the turret of the R35.
It has came down to a 1 on 1...
A stunned Éclair stands up from her turret and looks out over the town square, seeing her teammates tanks smoking away with white flags above them.
Another arrow stuck her tank, making her swing her attention towards the Red Te-Ke.
In a desperation move, Éclair's tank accelerates towards the Te-Ke like a Jousting match. The Te-Ke does the same.
As they were about to meet, Éclair fired her cannon.
As the 37mm of the FT17 fired towards the Te-ke, Rin did a 180, dodging the shot and simultaneously getting a perfect angle on the rear armour of the Éclair's FT.
*BANG*
A white flag popped up from her FT.
The match was over.
Maginot had lost.
Éclair got out of her tank to talk to Team Centipede while Rin pulled herself up through the drivers hatch and out to meet her.
Shizuka sat in the tank hyperventilating while breathing into a paperbag from the excitement of how cool it felt to take all those tanks out.
It was a massive display of power and dominance as a competitor in Tankathlon with the 1v5 matching Maho Nishizumi's display of the Nishizumi style in the domination of Tategogo Highschool in the Cauldron Tournament.
"How the hell did you do that! And where's that person who shot the arrow at me!" Éclair asked Rin, in an unimpressed and angry tone.
"If we let you know how we did that, you will win next time." Rin replied calmly with a smile.
"Fair enough, I guess… But what about that person with the Ribbon that shot at me with an arrow!"
"Oh, you talking about Shizuka-Hime? Well, this is Tankathlon remember. The rules in Sensha-do don't apply here Éclair-san. You did well for your first Tankathlon match though!"
As she finishes her sentence, the commanders hatch of the Te-Ke opens up with Shizuka standing up.
"You ready to go for food now Rin?"
"Yes of course Shizuka-Hime, ill be right over."
Éclair, as she looked at Shizuka, felt a nervous feeling take over her body as she admired the looks of the Te-Ke's commander.
"Who are you? Who is she?" Éclair asked while in awe of the girl in the tank.
Rin smiled. "I am your average schoolgirl, Rin Matsukaze, who found her way into tanks somehow" Rin chuckled, remembering the story of how her team was formed. She turned her hear to see Shizuka looking around, brooding.
"That girl there is Shizuka Tsuruki, descendant of the great Takeda clan and known in theworld of Sensha-do and Tankathlon as…
The Ribbon Warrior…
Hey everybody! If you are reading this, you have reached the end of the first chapter of my first fanfiction story.
I have been intending to do fanfiction for a while for GUP but never really managed to think of something completely original/ that I haven't seen before on here. Most of it was down to overall motivation + this summer is too hot to think, I'm legit doing this in the early hours of the morning around 2-4am lmao.
In other news if I continue this which I know I probably will, I intend to start making artwork for it potentially aswell or do my own renditions of other art ive seen which relate to the story. *Edit. My next drawing project after my current Mika project is Shizuka anyways so ;) Dw Joseph ill do your soon I just want to gain my confidence in my drawing ability again lmao.

The Missing Heir by Kokina Tenshi (Awsome story and I would love to make a Spinoff with Mika about it. Thinking about the spinoff and Mika's character in this made me want to start my Mika drawing :))
Always Advancing by Civilis which I also kinda want to make something on the lines of. This is an awesome story too but unfortunately it is complete after 52 chapters.
My Way by Joseph Ida. Pretty neat story too. (Hangs around the GUP discord a lot with me so be sure to send praise his way)
