"Wyatt!" Sam cried as she saw him lying there. She was still recovering from being thrown against the wall, but she could see him clearly way behind a group of demons surrounding Chris, Bianca and herself. She meant to run to him, but Chris stopped her. She escaped his grip again aeroporting to his side and caught Elak off guard sending her against the wall with a powerful gush of wind. "Wyatt?" he gave her the vial with a trembling hand. She cried inconsolably as she took it, unable to take her eyes off him. She uncorked the vial with a trembling hand, taking the athame she had been hiding under her clothes. She poured the liquid best she could over the blade and dropped the empty vial. She held on to Wyatt's hand as he continued to bleed out.

"Awww, such a sweet moment. I should get the camera" mocked Elak as she got back up, dusting off her clothes.

"That is your father" said Sam incorporating. Athame at hand.

"Not for very long"

"Finish it" she said menacingly to her daughter, inviting her to fight her.

"Gladly" Elak said not feeling threatened by them anymore now one of them was dying. Elak sunk Sam's feet into the ground and prepared to kick her unconscious. Sam reacted out of fear and aeroported to her right. "Learnt some stuff I see" she tried blowing her away as she had done previously, but Sam was only pushed back a few feet. "I was gonna give Kai a chance" she signaled her mother's overgrown abdomen. "But you've become too inconvenient to keep around"

"That's your whole problem…" said Sam jumping further back as Elak tried reaching her with the dagger. "…you keep underestimating us…" she hit her with icicles but Elak kept blasting them in midair. "…because you've forgotten…" Sam let her reach her and grabbed her by the wrist, trying to freeze her. Elak aeroported away from her grip.

"Spare me…" she said shooting fire balls at Sam, who kept snuffing them out. "… heard it all…" she started throwing electrical rays at her but Sam kept dodging them, popping in an out of the place. "…We both know how this ends"

"Forgotten where you get it all from" completed Sam, her voice bouncing off the walls, as if she hadn't been interrupted, forming a water bubble round Elak's head. She tried shaking it off, but Sam kept her hold on it, fighting off Elak's own water control. Desperate, Elak used her Astral projection to distract Sam, calling her name from behind her. Sam turned around and was immediately lifted by the throat by Elak, who tried to freeze her solid. Sam kept unfreezing herself while keeping a hold on her. It was a cold mano a mano that Sam wasn't gonna win if she didn't think of something fast. Her energy was low at that point and the sight of Wyatt bleeding out made her fall into despair which wasn't helping her case.

Chris and Bianca were still occupied with the demons swarming the place. Bianca was engaged with a particularly large demon, half hanging from its neck, her legs flying about; when a Golem formed behind her ready to rip off her head like a grape. "Look out!" said Chris and he blasted the Golem away into dust. Bianca then stabbed the large demon on the neck before jumping back to the ground. As the Golem reshaped from the dust, Bianca threw her dagger at the demon conjuring them up, not far behind Chris, which settled the dust back down for good.

"We need to get to them!" Chris told Bianca pointing to his brother and sister fighting across the room. She nodded and doubled her efforts trying to make a way to his loved ones on time.

Sam felt every bit of strength fading away from her. This would be over at any second.

"Let…. go" said Elak savoring the moment.

"Never" mouthed Sam, cold breath coming out her mouth. Gathering all the remaining strength in her body, she solidified the water around the original Elak struggling just behind them. As all air was cut off, her astral projection disappeared. Elak shattered the ice around her head among loud gasps for air, as if plunged out of the water which she somewhat had been. Her strength also faltered for a second as she recovered. Angry her mother had escaped her, she jumped at her again impulsively. Sam stood her ground and aeoported only as she reached her. As Elak angrily cursed the wind, she turned her head around looking for Sam, who aeroported back to the same spot the next second finally stabbing Elak with the Athame, still drenched with the potion. Sam could feel renewed tears running down her cheeks, this time not for her husband. "I'm so sorry, baby" Elak tried shimmering, orbing, aeroporting and everything else she could think off but the potion was acting fast in her system. She held on to her mother as she slid down to the ground.

"Mom…" she whispered as air itself left her. As her head hit the ground behind her, Sam knew the deed was done and her baby girl was dead. Her body disappeared in bright lights away from the cave. Demons around them saw this and started shimmering away, living to fight another day, giving Chris and Bianca a clear way to get to them.

"Wyatt…" Sam cried, cradling his head. "I'm here baby" he panted and gulped. "What do we do?"

"It's too late" he said.

"No, don't say that" she cried trying to hold him closer to her.

"It's OK" Chris heard him say as he drew nearer, holding his hand. Bianca kept her distance, looking out for any other intruder coming. "It's over"

"We gotta take him to Samuel too" said Chris.

"No…mom" he told his brother. As good and well intentioned as Samuel could be he couldn't treat them both at the same time.

"Wyatt, please" he held on to his beloved tightly for just a second, before his arms fell limply from her. "Baby? No, no, no…" she cried brokenheartedly. His body started vanishing between her arms, into white lights just as Future Meghan's had a moment ago. "No" Sam said dropping to the ground crying her eyes out.

"We need to get out of here. More are on their way here" said Bianca listening to the faint echoes of war in near corridors.

"Come on" said Chris feeling his own eyes burning, trying to get Sam off the ground as gently as he could with imminent danger just around the corner. "Gotta get you outta here". He put her arm around his neck and prepared to orb straight to the hospital. He could barely breathe as he looked down to where his brother had died. The air seemed thicker all of a sudden, heavier to take in. He orbed them all into Samuel's office, to catch up with Wyatt and Leo.

"Let's wait till mom's out of danger to tell them what happened. OK?" pleaded Chris after a moment of silence. Sam nodded vacantly as tears sneaked down her face. Chris gave her a hug; Sam could barely lift her arm to sort of reciprocate. She could hardly swallow and her legs felt like they would surely give in at any moment. Chris took her hand and led her out of the office.

As she was dragged down the hall in search for their family, she could barely feel the floor beneath her feet, her mind and heart in total disarray. How on Earth was she gonna explain what she had just done to everybody? What if the present Wyatt didn't understand after all? How could she have killed their baby girl? Had they changed anything or did they just delay the inevitable? Was her baby lost forever, either to evil or because she had taken her life away?

Leo came over and meet them as they got closer to the surgical waiting room area. Chris gave him a hug and asked about Piper. Leo, hands slightly trembling, explained how Samuel and his brother were working on her still, giving them in a nutshell how things had played out.

"Aunt Phoebe and Paige?"

"They were called back in an SOS"

"We should go help them" Chris said immediately; Bianca nodded, ready to go with him. "Not you though. You need to take it easy" Chris told Sam. She tried to respond with a thankful smile but was sure hadn't been successful, as Leo asked her.

"Everything alright?" Sam meant to answer, but as she opened her mouth words just didn't come out.

"She's just overwhelmed, dad" Chris answered giving her shoulder an appreciative squeeze. She managed to put a hand over his in all thankfulness; still feeling like every limb in her body had doubled in weight in the last hour.

"You need to get that stitched up before you go anywhere else" said Leo to his son, staring at his blood-soaked towel. "Cooper sent me an OK message a while ago, which means that whatever it is, they're handling it well enough without you and your brother" Chris turned to Bianca yet again. They had a pretty good guess what it was already; Demons celebrating putting Piper down. If at all, Elak's death would very likely make most of whatever was keeping all the clan busy retreat into the shadows to their advantage, as they saw some do down in the underworld. Chris knew only in a real big emergency they would have called Phoebe and Paige back given the circumstances. So, apparently, everybody had been where they needed to be.

On second thought, it also dawned on him that he wouldn't be able to be much use in battle anyway, if his arm felt weakened by pain again like it had, so he ended up agreeing with his father. He had Bianca to thank he had come out unscathed from that last close call, the chances of that happening again were slim and he didn't wanna push his luck.

Leo and Chris went over to the desk and asked for help. There was a different nurse than when they'd arrived, since the last one had been dragged into surgery with Samuel and Wyatt.

Bianca eyed Sam, standing still next to her, still very much unresponding.

"Let's sit down" Bianca took her by the shoulder and steered her towards the chairs, meaning to sit her down. "Do you want water or something?" she asked hesitantly, staring at the water cooler just beyond. Sam's eyes were staring vacantly into space, making her wanna do something for her, but really not knowing what she could do.

"I need to go to the ER" said Chris.

"I'll go with you" said Bianca, patting Sam on the shoulder as she turned to leave with Chris.

Chris bent down to kiss her head. He could only imagine how she was feeling at the moment. She meant to thank them, but nothing but a sigh came out her mouth.

"Elevator's this way" Leo guided them. "Be right back" said Leo, leaving Sam sitting on the chairs, throwing one last glance at the hall leading to the ORs. She managed to nod slightly as he walked away with the rest.

Every fiber of her being was exhausted. She wasn't sure she would be able to live with herself after today. So very tired… she slowly dropped onto the row of chairs, placing her arm under her head. I'll just stay down for a second she thought, as her breathing slowed down a little more than convenient, falling seemingly asleep.

When Leo came back, her breathing was slow but steady. He tried curling her legs up onto the chairs as well, sitting on the next available chair himself.
