T-minus two hours until the bad thing happens. Until Hallelujah has to face Adria alone. Right now, she and Genevieve were getting ready and preparing for the battle that would ensue once Hallelujah was face to face with Adria.
Hallelujah also had to tell Genevieve about what she would have to do.
Genevieve had a part to play in all this too. And her part was just as important.
The battle would take place on Adria's ship which was in orbit above the Earth.
"So...I stay on Earth and you go up to the ship?" Genevieve clarified
Hallelujah nodded, "Yeah. Until the end."
"And then I come up?"
Hallelujah shook her head, "No. I'll come down."
"Okay."
The next two hours passed by quickly. Everyone was saying goodbye to Hallelujah and wishing her good luck. Charlie hugged her the longest, not wanting to let go of her daughter.
"Mummy, I gotta go." Hallelujah uttered
But Charlie didn't release her daughter from the hug.
"Come on, honey." David coaxed, trying to pry his wife away from their daughter, "Charlie, Halle has to go."
Charlie sniffled as she finally let her daughter go, "I love you, baby."
"I love you too, Mummy. I promise you'll see me again real soon."
With the teleport that was built and given to them by Cisco, in just a few seconds Hallelujah found herself standing face to face with Adria.
"Hello my mercy, truth and legacy."
"I am the Truth." Hallelujah told Adria, "But I am not your truth. I am the Truth of God. IAUA."
Adria laughed, "So...you are here about the prophecy? You're here to destroy me?"
"Yes. And no."
Adria stared at the little girl, "What do you mean?"
Hallelujah just smiled as she opened her mouth, letting out a powerful and overwhelming, yet harmless scream.
Adria winced as she covered her ears. The whole ship shook.
On Earth, about thirty minutes earlier, Genevieve was at the DEO with Brainy. He'd hacked into the televised news station and Genevieve was doing a broadcast news announcement. She was talking to the people of National City, telling them everything she had learned about David, the Branch Davidians, and the seven seals within the last week.
During her 'segment', Genevieve had felt the room start to shake. As she glanced up, she noticed that everything was shaking.
Hallelujah's scream had been felt on Earth too. The Earth shook as if there was an earthquake, but the shaking wasn't just in one location. It happened all over the whole Earth. It felt like a giant had grabbed the Earth and shook it like a snow globe.
All the other news stations were no longer talking about Genevieve and what she was saying. There were talking about the 'earthquake'.
Back up on Adria's ship, after a few minutes, Hallelujah stopped screaming.
Adria was curled up on the ground with her hands clasped firmly over her ears.
"I'm done." Hallelujah gloated
"What was that for?" Adria asked
Hallelujah smirked, "For fun."
Adria shoots an energy blast at Hallelujah.
The blasts hits the seven year old. She feels a burning sensation for a brief moment and then she heals.
"Accelerated healing." Adria utters, "Impressive."
"Thank you." Hallelujah replied. She stretched her arms out to the sides, "Do your worst."
Suddenly she didn't feel afraid anymore. Maybe it was because she knew what would happen. Or maybe it was just because she knew that she was in God's hands, and that what was going to happen was His will. Everything she's done all her life has been ordained by God.
As Adria stood up, she thought carefully about her next move. With healing powers, it would be hard for her to even injure Hallelujah. Much less to kill her.
After a few intense moments of the two of them just staring at each other, Adria grew a ball of fire in her hand, creating it with her mind. She let the ball grow bigger and bigger all while keeping a close eye on Hallelujah.
Hallelujah was just bouncing up and down on one leg, switching between the right and the left.
"Why aren't you scared?" Adria wondered
Hallelujah didn't say anything she just smiled, like she knew something that Adria didn't.
Adria threw the large ball of fire at Hallelujah, watching as it engulfed the little girl's whole body.
Down on Earth at Mount Carmel, David and Charlie were sitting in the living room with a few kids seating on either side of them. The now 8 year old Batya Sylvia, who was sitting on David's side and the now 15 year old Crystal Barrios and 9 year old Sage Summers, who were seating on Charlie's side. Suddenly Charlie started to cry, and she wasn't just crying. She was full on sobbing.
"What's wrong, love?" David asked as he stroked his wife's head
"She's...she's..." Charlie let out in raspy breaths through her sobs. Her bottom lip quivered as she took a breath, "David, she's dead. Our daughter is dead."
David shook his head, "No. No, I don't believe that."
Charlie nodded, "It's true. She's gone."
Batya stood up and walked around her father to Charlie, and squished up on the side of her step-mother.
"Halle's coming back, Mama. She's not dead." Batya assured
But it did little to assure Charlie, for she knew that her daughter was dead. Charlie had always felt connected to Hallelujah, but now, she couldn't feel it anymore. It was gone. Just like that. And that's how she knew her daughter was dead.
Back on Adria's ship, the Orici waited for the healing glow to emit from Hallelujah's body. She wasn't ready for the battle to be over. But it never happened.
Hallelujah's charred body laid still on the ground.
Hope you enjoy. Comments are greatly appreciated. In fact, they keep me going.
What would you like to see happen next?
What do you think is going to happen next? Do you think the battle is really over?
